If the hose clamp doesn't hold, cut a piece of rubber hose to fit where you previously put the clamp. Get hose that has inner diameter same as hanger post. Then put clamp on over the hose. The hose will grip the post and give the hose clamp a nice firm surface to clamp on to. UPDATE: I forgot to ask you- where on earth did you find those mats and can you make a mold of them? 😂
thanks for that recommendation! I found them out of a parts car. I got very lucky. Another commenter said they’re the same as 08+, but the mounting points are just different
I got a rubber mat set like this for my 9-3 back in 2017. They fit very well and are very easy to clean. I loved them from Day One, and I kept them when I sold my 9-3 and put them in my 9000 where they also fit quite well. And now some sad news: 1. For unknown reasons, the 9-3 that I sold last summer when I bought the 9000, was scrapped in October 2023, merely four months after the sale. The records don't say if it had been in a crash or simply was too expensive to get ready for the next biannual approval before December 2023, but now there's one less Saab making the streets of Denmark that much prettier and safer. :o( 2. And this is worse: I have had to realise that improving and running the 9000 is too costly in the long run, so I have just put it up for sale after having it approved for the next two years, hopefully making it easier to sell. In stead, I got myself a nice 2013 Audi A3 1.4 TFSI. This car is almost $1.100,- cheaper in yearly state tax and has almost twice the MPG compared to the 9000. Unfortunately, I can't ignore that at $7.50,- per gallon (Octane 100). The 9000 drives like a dream. When my Saab mechanic returned my car from the approval test (with zero remarks), he joked that I had to come back the next week because it runs so good he wanted to drive it again. :0) The A3 is a nice car, and it is quick with its 6-speed manual gearbox, perhaps even quicker than the 9000. But it doesn't have the same personality, not even close. I fear that my career as a Saab-owner is now grinding to a halt for good, albeit with a shimmer of hope that perhaps one day I can find a 900 Turbo or a 9000 pre-facelift, driving is as a veteran car (from 30 years old) which reduces the state tax by 50%, if you have to have another primary vehicle.
That’s sad to hear. Where are you located? Here, registration for these cars is dirt cheap (about 10x less than my Audi). Hopefully you can keep one as a project or a spare car! 👍🏼😁
@@AutoAutopsy Denmark, Europe, where the taxes on cars are crazy. First, there is a up to 130% tariff on new cars. For comparison, the most basic 2024 Audi A3 1.4 TFSI (gasoline) costs $62,000 ,- here in Denmark, and so these high prices reflect the prices on used cars. Decent 9-3s cost from $6.000,- and up, depending on milage and time to next biannual inspection. However, that's not the biggest problem (for me). That problem is the annual owner's tax which is based on engine size, fuel economy, and emissions, and so a 9-3 1.8 Turbo (gasoline) is taxed at $700,- a year but a 9-3 1.9 TiD (diesel) at $1.600,- a year. There are currently 40 9-3s for sale at Denmark's largest sales portal. There's also a luxury tariff on convertibles, and so 900 and 9-3 convertibles are put up for sale from $10.000,- to apr. $30.000,-, depending on milage and condition. My 9000 is taxed at $1.100,- a year while my new 2013 Audi A3 1.4 TFSI Sportback is taxed at just around $100,- a year. That's a lot of money saved on the budget when my annual driving is only 6-8,000 miles. Besides, if I wanted to upgrade the 9000 to my perfect dream car, I would have to invest maybe $700,- for leather seats, $400,- for undercarriage treatment (they spray salt on the roads around here in the winters), $400 for a larger turbo, replacing rusty fenders that you can't find anymore. I have two in glass fiber, but the fit isn't that good. Retrofitting front fog lights, and perhaps retrofitting a rear window wiper. And $400,- to get the dodgy immobiliser switched off which takes special knowledge and special equipment. And the last issue, the fuel economy: On average I can drive the 9000 at 8.5 liters per 100 Km which translates to apr. 28 MPG. The fuel economy in the Audi A3 is officially set at apr. 50 MPG. So with the Audi I save $1,000,- on the annual owner's tax and almost 50% on the fuel, so it's really a no-brainer. I took a $14.000,- credit to buy the Audi. I hope to sell the 9000 for half that (it's currently the only 9000 for sale at the portal), and the other half of the credit is principally already financed by the lower owner's tax and the better fuel economy. And so this is the "natural explanation" as to why I will (have to) leave the Saab platform. But only very, very reluctantly. However, I will still come visiting here because Saab will never leave my heart. (Edited for spelling errors).
Looking spiff, Jacob. Those exhaust tips are fire. Amazing find on the mats! It's cool to see one of our local Seattle Saab shops (Scanwest) on your shirt from Soc sponsorship. 👍🏼
Not a bad price for the jumper packs! I have four of their competitors (2 jumpers & 2 tire inflators) which are a bit higher priced. I think I might need to try one of these out as well! Thanks for the tip!
Thanks bill! Yeah it’s pretty cheap for what you get. I’d be especially interested to hear your opinion compared to a higher priced one, if you do buy one
I admit I wasnt huge saab guy until I got mine. I love cars. I somehow ended up with an 07 60th anniversary ice blue 9-3. It has all weather mats in the package still. Just how rare are these? Also what are all the accessories these cars can come with. Im just curious how many my car has.
@auto autopsy can you please tell me where you get your factory parts from? I need a lot of things if I'm going to get my 2.8t running the way it should
Great vid as always, keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!

Picked up a full set out of a 07 cv at a junkyard recently.
IMO they do look much better than carpet.
Nice!

Thanks! Scanwest is awesome. They made me a second key and sent me service records on my 900
Those mats are great. Bought a set in 2020, glad I did then.
nice! thank you
Very nice answer, well done, friend
Thank you!
What a great and lucky find!!
So glad to have them in the car

I really appreciate your honesty on this car, my 2008 the AC doesn’t work, where can I get parts
here's a video with a bunch of parts resources: th-cam.com/video/ARVbmaQ7Dn8/w-d-xo.html
The hardest things to find for me are NG 9-3 roof racks.
Those are tough too 🥲🥲
Yes! Luckily I scored 1 for $100 a few years ago
Do you have a video on PCV Valve Replacement? Thanks
I don’t, sorry. Check WIS online for instructions though

There’s quite a few! Probably too many to name here. Smart slot inserts would be a good example
@@AutoAutopsy Isn't that the thing next to the parking brake. It looks like an ice scraper almost?
Those floor mats come from Michigan? I go to a yard and they hard 11 9-3's recently had a lot of great parts
East coast. They’re out of an 07 I think (03-07 mats are different). There’s a lot of good NLA 2011 parts you should definitely grab off those cars!
👏👏👏👏

There’s lots of great options. Here’s a video with a few listed out: th-cam.com/video/ARVbmaQ7Dn8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Vg6fhqxJnOryf8Ui
Damm 07- onwards floor mats are exaxtly the same shape. Just the clip is different. But the clip can be changed easy. 😅
They can be? 🥲🥲
@@AutoAutopsy yes, I have 07 onwards one in my 2005 as well. 😉
100% correct
I sold those with my blue convertible aero didn't know they was that rare
No harm in that. I’m sure the new owner is loving them haha

Wow 🤩 them back box’s are massive like 🥹
🤣 helps the car sound more refined!
