- In this elden ring video I'm showing you a boss vs boss battle between Radagon/Elden beast and Godfrey/Hoarah Loux with a fully working phase change mechanic along with perfectly positioned phase change cutscenes on each map.
It took me a while to get this to work on a map that is not Ashen Leyndell but I must admit the result is really good looking.

There is a reason Godfrey's theme plays during the fight.
I like how every souls game has that one human boss that could solo the whole game if they wanted to
And Godfrey lost his grace. Zero powers. Just the raw strength that conquered the world.

But seriously, it's poetic that the Elden Beast is defeated not by Godfrey, the First Elden Lord, but by Hoarah Loux, the First Tarnished

The phase change is awesome, but Godfrey ripping through Radagon and over half of Elden Beast's hp before he got to half himself is crazy, dude's a beast.
He is a tarnished, he is one of us!
I figured he'd change at half the health bar he had, instead of depleting through one bar and then changing

I never actually managed to beat Godfrey solo,this dude is just sth else indeed,his shockwaves from each of his attacks cover a wide area and if youre under 40% health they can one shot you if youre far away from him.Phase 2 is even worse,he gets in your face alot with his wwe moves.Meanwhile Radagon might be agressive but he doesnt chunk out your health like Godfrey and elden beast is a joke if it doesnt use elden stars.
So this is what would've happened if Godfrey won the fight against our tarnished.

Godfrey is at the moment of the game stronger than in his golden years, while Marika shatter herself along with Radagon, causing all their strength to be distributed among the demigods. If someone before him kills Maliketh and frees Destined Death, then Godfrey has a serious chance of victory. If except that whoever can defeat Maliketh won't kill Godfrey himself lol

Godfrey's footsteps echoed throughout the hollow tree. His axe was heavy and wet with the blood of his fellow tarnished. The heart of the first Elden Lord was heavy when it should have been joyous, for the lord had come home. Morgott was little more than grace on the wind now, and word had reached him of Godwhyn and Mohg's death. Serosh forbade him unleash his sorrow, however, and so Godfrey continued his march. A light appeared through the long tunnel, and the old lord knew his time had come at last. He walked faster, then faster, until he was running towards the light with Serosh growling beside him. Godfrey raised his axe and leaped out of the tunnel. Eyes darted all around the great hall, a hall that-last time he checked-wasn't host to an immense, foggy chasm. This was no doubt a result of the Shattering, and of Queen- 'Marika!' Godfrey gasped. Suspended several dozen feet in the air was a bareclad numen. Her wrists were ran through with a glowing upturned arch that resembled a musical scale. Serosh made no sound, for both were stunned into silence. Godfrey crossed the bridge to the center, heart in his stomach. Marika's body was like that of a crumbling stone tablet. A far cry she was from the jewel of mankind Godfrey once knew her as. He thrust his axe into the ground beside him, before Marika. He fell to both knees, Serosh roaring with fury to shake all of Leyndell. 'It has been... a long while, Marika.' He said. He had done everything she asked of him and more. This was his reward? To hold the shattered remnants of power, torn from the dead bodies of his own sons? To present them before the ruins of his love? For once in his life, the man who had destroyed giant-kind, and torn down the halls of the Stormlord, knew nought what to do. The guidance of grace showed him no path forward. But then the crucifixied figure above him shuddered. Godfrey looked up, staggering back as bright sparks covered his body. Like glass, the crucifying arch above him broke. Marika fell. She hit the ground with a heavy thud onto it's knees, and to Godfrey's shoke her head didn't stay attached. It rolled before him, golden hair a mess. Serosh growled in his ear, reminding him to stay calm. Slowly, Godfrey retrieved her head, and rose. He put it back on its thin stump, and for a moment Godfrey felt an echo of peace. Eye level he was with his queen. Upon her shoulder he placed his enormous hand, bowing his head a final time. He arose, Serosh silent, and walked away. Godfrey had barely took five paces when the fog erupted from below. The Lord of the Battlefield retrieved his axe, spinning around as Serosh growled. A shadow caught his eye. He felt water lick his greaves as a tall, thin, dark shape rose where Marika had stood. Godfrey should have been glad, but something was wrong. The shape wretched over, and the Erd Tree groaned. The petit form became heavy and rectangular, slim became broad. As the fog began to clear, the golden blond hair became a dusk red. 'You...' Godfrey snarled, and so did Serosh. The figure raised a glowing, broken mace that crackled with golden energy. The figure turned its head to face him, and Godfrey saw his eyes: Radagon of the Golden Order. Radagon turned his whole body to face Godfrey, who could feel his fellow Elden Lord's call to the Great Runes he carried. The Red Wolf took his stance, mace down at his side and glaring at Godfrey. Both knew what must be done. Godfrey knew now what this had all been for; his exile, the Shattering, and his warriors' return. 'Long and patient dis't though wait. Shattered champions, besieged by the wrath of gold. Rest assured the Elden Ring lay close at hand. Alas! I am returned! Granted audience once more!' He raised his axe and stomped the ground. Serosh roared, sending wind and debris Radagon's way. He did not flinch in the face of Godfrey's beast regent, but dust and pebbles began falling from Radagon's eyes. Godfrey bowed his head, preparing himself. 'Upon my name as Godfrey,' he declared, raising his head. 'The First Elden Lord!'

Yeah because each of us, lore wise, have a different path that sites of grace leads us to. My question is, I would love to have a series detailing godfrey's return to the throne. Like, from when the sites of Grace told him to come back to the Lands Between from the Badlands. I want to know if he's had to fight enemies on his path back to the throne.

Maybe this is why he never came back to fight Radagon. He never viewed him as a worthy opponent

This is some of the cleanest Elden Ring modding I have seen. Even Godfrey's dialouge works just about perfectly when he speaks to Radagon.

With this unlocked in addition to the Arcade stuff you'd been doing, I'm curious if you could set up new types of ultimate multi-phase fights: "Stormvale Margit, into Battlefield Margit, into Morgott" or "Bestial Sanctum Gurranq, into Beast Cleric & Malekith" or an even more crazy version of this with "Godfrey the Golden into Godfrey & Horah Loux"
Even the arcades acting as a phase 2 type transition could let you have "Naturalborn Astel into Stars of Darkness Astel" or "Carian Loretta into Haligtree Loretta" or even something like "Abandoned Coffin Lansseax into Stormcaller Lansseax into Lichdragon Fortissax"
Those seem like potentially neat ways to keep themes around single archetypes of characters while still having normal stats, but presenting a new challenge if that's possible and interesting. Either way, looking forward to whatever cool stuff you inevitably have in store!!

And I have a suggestion for an army I'd like to see in one of these videos. Either as the focus or part of some type of army tournament.
The Invasion from the stars:
- Astel, Naturalborn of the Void
- Astel, Stars of Darkness
- The Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast from Mt. Gelmir
- Both Fallingstar Beasts (Sellia tunnel & Altus Plateau)
- All the Malformed stars (I think there's like 3 of them or something)
Just thought it could be a fun and nasty monster group to fight.

1st phase Godfrey vs Elden Beast: Dash -> Stomp -> Dash -> Stomp -> Dash -> Stomp -> Dash -> Stomp, proceeds to get annoyed into second phase by elden stars, stomps even harder. That range though.

I know Malenia is the strongest but Godfrey/Hoarah Loux is the most vicious and brutal boss in the game. Dude is a brute and has a second phase for some added violence :D
(also, I feel Radagon+EB is just a lackluster final duo, especially EB, they simply lack the epic proportions of previous and optional bossfights)
Honestly I think Godfrey/Hoarag Loux is the 2nd strongest boss in the game in boss vs boss, in numerous videos he only loses to Malenia and even beats Maliketh and Fire giant pretty decisively

I am curious if Godfrey could've claimed the Rune of Death from us. Considering how Tarnished earn it from Malekith, I don't think there's a special ritual in particular for claiming it.
Considering that Godfrey, before becoming the first Elden lord, probably had to fight Elden Beast, the fact he tore through Radagon so easily means he probably didnt even get Half HP'd when he fought JUST the beast

I never understood that line - given that he's fighting you as a warrior rather than as a king in his second form, it seems that he's bestowing upon you the highest honor he can.
He's going to beat you into next Tuesday, sure, but it'll be an honorable beating.

Honestly reflecting on some commentary the devs made when discussing Elden ring yea this would’ve definitely been a spectacle of a fight as they mention that the final battle would be between Godfrey/horah loux, placidusax, and the Elden beast they didn’t clarify who would win in that scenario but it should be noted that timeline was only possible if the player never existed
