    To claim the free deflators;
    All you have to do is add the TPMS to your cart and use discount code ‘wild’ (Sam will throw in the free deflators as he packs the orders, until midnight Dec 9th).

    Thanks so much for doing this video. I bought the iCheck TPMS sensor kit a few months ago but haven’t installed them yet. Super handy to know all the features and how easy it is to install. You’ve inspired me to unpack my kit and set it up.

    Thanks for the review on the TPMS. Whilst I don't need them for the Ranger (standard equipment), I do need them for the caravan. The BM Pro bluetooth system which connects to its TPMS is useless once you're outside the van and the bluetooth module can't communicate with the app on the iPhone (that's how it's monitored).
    Safety Dave apparently also sells van TPMS systems but I don't know how good they are. I'll look into the iCHECK ones and the signal booster unit.
    As an aside, you'd think that a $100k plus 300 series would have TPMS fitted as standard.

    I got the same TPMS but also got the bearing heat sensors and let me tell you they work perfectly as I had a sticky electrical brake on one side of the van and that set the alarm off, I managed to quickly fix the issue and I was back on the road. Without it I may have had bigger problems, well worth the money. Cheers.

    That looks like a good kit. We bought a real cheapie a few years back and much to my surprise it is still working. Done a few battery changes in the senders but I might grab one of these as having 10 sensors on one kit would be useful for our Coaster and trailer. Would save having two separate units although $40 for the original cheap unit is somewhat cheaper LOL

  • @burbs-to-bush-redbakadventures
    @burbs-to-bush-redbakadventures ปีที่แล้ว

    it is a good kit and the company are super responsive if there are any issues with it and replace it within the warranty period , no questions asked. Only had one issue, the front right tyre sensor on my fourbie became loose and started to let air out of the tyre, the monitor alerted me to it straight away. I checked the tyre and it all apeared to be ok, I pumped it back up , removed and screwed the sensor back on, no issues since. I'm not using the locking nut as I'm forever changing my tyre pressures, so just a quick note , always check that the sensors are on securely before you head off each day

    Great review/installation video as always
    Question
    When you let your tyres down for beach driving and the you pump them up again to hot running pressure does the TPMS set that as a new normal?
    IE set at 40 PSI cold would be about 45 PSI hot
    Do you need to reset them when the tyres are cold?

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  ปีที่แล้ว

      No every time you take the tyre valve sensor on and off it sets whatever pressure the tyre is at as your benchmark pressure. Don’t need to reset them to account for hot and cold pressure as there is a 15-20% allowance before alarm goes off.

    • @rayarmstrong5374
      @rayarmstrong5374 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Cam
      I was thinking if I put the sensor on at the hot temperature the pressure would drop to less than 15% when the tyre were cold and the alarm would go off

    Question: did you end up installing the signal booster? If so, where did you mount it, or where is it best mounted? I'm thinking at the rear of the Ranger (I have an ARB Ascent canopy) and powered off the DC outlet in the back. I have no power outlet outside of the van near the drawbar unfortunately.

    Nah - website broken. Too many trying to order maybe.
    Well final update - couldn't get on to their website on 2 Apple PCs and a Windows based machine. In exasperation I tried my iPhone and got in with no issues and ordered a 10 sensor kit and the extender module (no mention of the added free deflators though). Got on with the phone whilst still looking at the broken website on the MacBook! Looking forward to getting these nice items.

      Update - They arrived within a week :) including deflators. Install is certainly easy, not too sure about the lock nuts. I can see why you prefer to leave them off, as every time you need to add/let out any air they need to be undone. Not a huge issue I guess but if travelling along a sandy or corrugated stretch requiring regular air up/down then I would probably leave them off (undone).
      Thanks again Cam for alerting us to these and for the discount 😀

    The only problem is every time you say I check it sounds like you’re saying Itech and it makes me throw up in my mouth a little😂😂😂😂

      Yes, two companies certainly sound similar when spoken of.
      Unsure about your assertion of throwing up in regard to Itech though, I utilise heaps of Itech gear, plus ICheck gear.
      Both good product & good to deal with in my experience.
      Have dealt first hand with Itech when a 120X battery did fail, (fortunately on a dual system so wasn't left without power).
      The warranty claim system in place worked brilliantly, paid set $35 shipment fee from east coast to west coast (bargain), battery BMS replaced in Perth, battery freighted back to east coast at zero cost, then as there was a genuine fault, they reimbursed our bank account with the original $35 out of pocket expense for initial freight.
      Great product, backed up by great service.
      Love both companies to deal with, Itech & ICheck.

    If the monitor pings every five minutes that seems like a very long time if you're driving fast down the highway. A lot can happen to attire in five minutes. Is there a way to adjust the ping time shorter?
