Thanks Keelan for bringing Sams latest tech to our attention. Love our Icheck system, can't believe we left home just recently, 1st trip sfter fitting kit to van, picked up a screw in rear passenger side boggy of our caravan far outback NSW. First we knew about it was the alarm going off, (prior to tyre shredding and taking side of van out) as damaged tyres are known to do. So, system has already recovered the initial investment in saving tyre & van damage. Just plugged tyre and kept going, constant monitoring of Icheck revealed sealed up fine, pressure fine several hundred klms later. Only had one other puncture on our van, thankfully I picked that up checking pressures prior to leaving vansite in Kiama again it was plugged onsite. That was possibly 10 + years ago. Need to ponder if I update now to bearing sensors, darn decisions decisions decisions, haha. You have me flustered, not envious, haha. 😂😂😂
That’s awesome news it’s saved ya and some already! Icheck is a cracker kit! You’ll have some thinking to do! Whatever you do though be quick with SKT code or youll miss out on the goodies!!
Thanks for the discount code guys, just grabbed the 5 wheel version for the van. Also got the free deflators $269 to the front door🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺. I will add the temp sensors when we start longer trips at the moment only travelling 1 hr to the coast with the van 2 times a year…
Been umming and ahhhing about the tpms for just my car, but with a big trip coming up, and your awesome discount package (thanks!) I have bit the bullet! A safer journey is a non negotiable if you can afford it 😊👍🌏🐶🐾
100%. a good way to look at it mate! if you can afford to put in more measures then why not, up here at Arnhem we have so far spoken to 3 different travellers with version 1 of the TPMS and they say its already payed itself off
@@SarahandKeelanTravels thats really good to hear. And I hope you are both staying safe and hydrated in this crazy hot weather we are having here in the NT 💧🍉🚰
@@SarahandKeelanTravelseven if you don’t tow. I had one tyre blow out on my first 4wd, ever since every 4x4 got TPMS. I look at it this way: a good TPMS costs you as much as a good tyre - catch one leak early and it just paid for itself. That doesn’t take into account all the other advantages.
Hi beautiful peeps Finally got on the page and ordered all plus the digital tyre gauge, thanks for the great deal you organized, been waiting for a deal like this 😘
About 10 years ago, something like the bearing temp sensor would have saved my rear Diff housing, half shaft (axel) and Hub on my 75 series Troopy. As it was, my first indication something was wrong was when we (group of 4 4WD's) pulled over for a "Bio Brake". I found a rear wheel slightly smocking and slightly angled and F... HOT. A few minutes later the whole lot had welded itself together. Fortunately I was only about 2 hours from home and on the bitchumen (just short of Lancelin coming from Rockingham) WA. When I did get it home late the next day on a large trailer, I needed to Replace the diff housing (had to cut the old housing in 2 to get the broken axle out of the diff to remove the diff). The really annoying bit was I did have spare wheel bearings on me, along with the tools to do the job. :( Too late, everything around the wheel bearing was slag. A temp sensor on the hub would have warned me before it became critical. To the attentive among you who noted it was a rear wheel and are probably thinking this story is bogus - yes, a broken rear axle would normally mean no drive to rear causing me to coast to a stop when the axle went (all drive goes to the free wheeling broken axle with an open wheel diff, or Toyota LSD which are useless and are basically on open wheel diff). I had fitted auto lockers, so I was still being driven along just fine by the other rear wheel.
One thing you forgot to mention on the bearing sensors is that the internal battery is not replaceable. The battery life of the sensors is two years, therefore every two years you have to throw the units away & buy a new set.
Do you have to balance the tyres with the tpms on? I have had massive issues with balancing in the past and have always wanted to know if it is necessary to get the balancing redone after fitting tpms system.
Hi Keenan. at 11:30 you show the monitor having just fitted the sensors. On the truck (sensors 1-4) the pressures and temps are ALL over the place. Whereas at 11:33 the van readings are relatively close together. What is/was the reason for the car to be all over the shop ? btw, best review of these I have seen ! 👍
iCheck-ed this episode out and Man it’s an iCheck-out one to watch not deflating at all Keelan 🤪🤪 They sure are a DIY install what’s 1 tyre worth Guys ? Cheap tyres $250 better quality Im thinking $350 to 450 big ones and a busted Bearing with a crash 💥 OUCH 🤕 , 👍👍 get onto it he’s not just Hot air 🥵🥵
@SarahandKeelanTravels thanks mate. I knew that but was just hoping you had another like the deal mentioned in the video. Keep up the good videos, thanks.
hey mate, there is a booster available, our dual axel is fine but its all to do with electrical interference which you cant see or predict, the booster is pretty cheap so my advice would be purchase the TPMS and see if you even need the booster, some do some don't.. SKT10 will get you a bigger discount
Hello Keelan nice meeting you and Sarah. @ Katherine water filling.($2)......Hope your Journey is going well we got stuck with the fire's at 3 ways for 3 days......now Safeley at Mt Isa....if you ever get the chance I need to have a chat with you about CTEK DC-DC Charger's....Regards Kevin and Mairead.
You are getting so good at explaining things keelan very very good. My old van is a off road one but doesn’t have plastic hub cap covers so I think the sesnor would be exposed, I’m guessing you don’t reccomend using it like that??
Great timing guys.... I was just about to place an order tomorrow! My only issue, after reading the manual and having a bit of a think, is that it takes about 2 hours for our 4wd tyres to go to cold temps... So, if I'm screwing the sensor on after deflating (say 20psi) and stopping for a couple of hours on the beach, it's going to calc my psi -15% at 17psi to alarm... now cold temp should be less than that. So I guess I go around and unscrew all the sensors and stick them on again. Same when I reinflate hot, later, then stop for the night. Any thoughts? Has this been a process you've undertaken? Is there a workaround... maybe a button on the unit that resets all the sensors at once? Legend vid as always, guys. Fantastic offer too! 🙂
I think you're over thinking it mate, we don't get alarms when tyres cool down. like we have said we have done hard tracks bitumen hauls for hours ect on all different pressures and so far no leaks so no alarms
Hey keelan do you have any issue reading the screen when its sunny? Watched a couole other reviews on the gen 1 system main complaint was hard to read the screen
@@SarahandKeelanTravels hey mate I watched it when the video came out cant remember what you said about it it. I skimmed over the vid again yesterday but didn't catch that part. I have watched every video you guys have released you and Sarah are awesome.
Love the idea of monitoring bearing temp🏆🏆 Definitely on my shopping list for the new van👍👍 Great review mate, way to many doing reviews on products they haven’t used for more than a week 🤦♂️
Bugger, why is it that every time I buy a piece of tech the new version comes out a month or two later? Love my iCheck TPMS which I have had for around 2 months but looks like my only issues are now covered by the new version. Should have waited a bit :( before buying. Same thing happened when I bought a DJI Osomo 3, 1 month later the new version comes out. Can't seem to win.
Does the tyre sensors have separate batteries? That is a pain with my current TPMS as I use the 4WD and caravan only for an annual trip and I find the batteries loose their charge over the down time and the system is then ineffective, also I am never sure if it is the battery or has to be driven to get the system to activate. your comment would be appreciated. 😂 GH
Hey Keelan r the wheel bearing sensors part of the kit or completely separate purchase ? And if so Is it the SKT for both items x 2 deliveries ? Thanks in advance 😎
Please show me how we can change out the battery in the dash unit. If the unit is sealed like your last unit and a user can’t change the battery. Another $300 for nothing. Show us how to change out the VDU battery. That’s all folks
Haha So we are partners to both Oricom and iCheck, and have been offered both units to run on our setup, for TPMS we choose iCheck every day but when it comes to UHF we will choose a oricom unit any day of the week!! Oricom are still a fantastic company! But the features that iCheck offer are just next level!
Hi Keelan , Hope all is well , can I please ask a question regarding TPS unit. We have used the device around town no problems. Currently we are travelling and our sensors keep going off because our tyre Pressure has reached 45 PSI😫, we’ve looked in the manual but can’t see how we can increase this to stop the alarm from going off. Cheers Robyn
Read the manual Robyn it’s all in there. You just have increase the alarm set point in the menu, It’s really easy, the new one you don’t have to at all just screw on the sensors and your good
Hi I don't want to be negative ... however...🤨 That deal is a bit misleading. I had a look at this system in New Zealand and it costs NZ$404 but discount code does not work. I go to Australian site and this set cost Au$449 you get 10% discount with your code and guess what you get it for $404....... Looks like a good product but I call this deal misleading. You "just" get the deflates for free not bad but still the 10% discount does not actually look like a discount if you add it to the price first.. I can't use it on my truck as it only goes to 99PSI ( need 110PSI for the road)
Don’t be if you don’t want to be 😂 however…. 🥴the reason the “NZ TPMS” is cheaper is because he’s still selling version 1 of the TPMS not version 2 which is on the iCheck offical website, So 449 is the Recommended retail price (RRP) for version 2 (the new tech) and has only just gone online for sale on the iCheck website.. Our code only works on iCheck website so you will NOT get a free deflators on other stores, nor will you get the 10% off.. this is because distributors only sell iCheck products and have nothing to do with icheck partnerships. So no there’s nothing misleading about it, it would have been nice if your facts were correct but they are false unfortunately. Hope this clears up your confusion. Next time maybe ask why, instead of jumping to the conclusion we are misleading our audience that we hold in the highest regard.. integrity is our number 1 priority. Have a fantastic day 😊

I believe over 2 years
Hey mate, some time past, just wondering if this is still going alright on the van without the repeater, including the spare?

Would be good if you could stop it cycling. Kind if pointless that it still cycles when you are not towing.
Your tyre happened to have a leaky valve? Really
yeah it did, when you let your tyres down everyday because your full time they tend to flog out quicker than just letting them down on weekends
