Great Video,,my ECU just conked out ,had it in one garage for 4 weeks..they could not diagnose it, so I found a guy locally,,came to my house found the problem in 1 hour confirmed the problem took it out and sent it out for repair,,50 years working on cars trucks mining equipment and this was the first time I could not fix my own car,,its only a vauxhall mokka,,thank God for guys like this.
Thank you for this video. I have a question if you could answer. There is a ticking noise from engine when the engine is off. And the obd device shows P68501 fault code. The engine ticking started after dpf delete remap. The question is; Is my ecu or power relay is malfunctioned? Or is it related to wrong configuration? Much appreciated if you could answer
Hi, I loved your video and detailed explanation and you were able to install another ECU that was great. My question is that why you did NOT change the VIN number since the car VIN is different from ECU......I have swapped ECU on 2001 Mercedes C240 via pro and the car runs & drive however, ECU VIN has 'nt been changed tp match car's VIN and hence I can 't get the inspection passed. I am in NYC and unable to find someone who would write VIN. Also, I can't find a scanner that will do this for this old Mercedes. Any suggestions.....Please let me know. Many Thanks!!

Great video but still confused. 3 or 4 pins on the harnesses didn't have power/ 12v. So you jumped the wires. But power to the harnesses come from fuse box which was good including relays. So where did you get 12 v. back to the harnesses?? The Ecu was bad but they get 12v from fuse box. Subscribed anyway
Hi nice job, I have a c250 2013 with a problem in start up, it starts misfire, in cylinder 123 I turn it of and it gets better turn off again and only 1 misfires, then wait temp. to rich 60c turn it of and on again and it work great, no code only the misfire and p0705, the fuel pressure is 2k in starting and in idle is around 800 to 900psi I incline that it is injector, any advice? thanks
Hi you might have a problem with the wiring loom on the injectors or dry joints inside the engine ecu or ecu plugs.might not be getting a good connection unplug and check for corrosion.

Now you'll need to unlock the radio as well since control units with different vins were put on the vehicle, simple to do with vediamo, also vin and correct scn/variant coding can be done without online access 😉
Hi, that car came to me with replacement Radio already fitted, I was going to code the vin into it for him, but none of my diagnostic could do it. I have got vediamo, but I have never used it. @@thefix9823 As for the radio part, you'll need to read the serial number using xentry, then send it for calculation, you can post it here and I can calculate it for you, then you'll need to enter the code using vediamo as there is no way to do so using xentry. There's also tools that are able to handle reading the serial number and generating the code without xentry/vediamo and STAR/C4, but you'll need a J2534/PASSTHRU for that, possible to use C4 but I'm not sure it's fully compatible

hello according to your wiring diagram when you jumpered manually the fuse and the cannon plug was disconnected on ecu modual you should have read voltage on pin 94&pin 95 .unless if you had open circuit also .repeat cannon plug disconnected. i do see what you said when you plugged in the connector you had no voltage due to shorted cuircuit in ecu on pin 94,95. another word i don't see it when the plug was disconnected and you jumpered the fuse you had no voltage on those pins even though is direct wire to plug.
Hi, for pins 94 and 95 the voltage comes threw the ecu to the wiring loom because the ecu was faulty I was not getting the voltage the bit of video of me checking that got deleted and I only found out that clip was not there when we were editing the video so it was to late to film it again Very good observation by you

Thanks for your fast response, for sure I will try your recommendation, today I made a test by disconnecting coil in 4 cyl. because is the only one working at startup, doing this the car didn't wanted to start, in the fifth intend it started with 2 and 3, 1 is the one that takes longer to work, then I connected 4 and didn't work, turn off and waited a few second and started again and work. for cyl 1 I did the same procedure but waited a minute or 2 and started and everything working find with strong fuel odor. for me it could be injector leaking or clog injector, also I have strong fuel odor in oil dip stick or wend replace. what do you think ?
I just looked up those SD connect tools LOL they are not cheap ... not worth programming it yourself just find this guy and get him to do it or someone that can

you are probably lucky that jump car did not surge and blow that new ECU ... i did not see no surge protectors on those battery cables .. the other thing i see ... you wasted a lot of time in diagnostics testing things that really did not need testing ... the scan codes should have been enough to replace that ECU and just program it

Will anything go wrong if you have swopped around the two cables on the prefuse panel that are held by the number 10 socket.

Do the keys also have to be programmed?
You can check the engine nummer and some other usable information in the Secret menu over the Cluster module.

Wrong Tools, Wrong Diagram and pinching wires like that, means: later moisture/corrosion damage to them......
