    For neutral cable, please take note, let said you have 3 x 2 gang switches in that area, you only need 1 neutral cable, and from there you tap to the other switch. don't need to lay 3 neutral cables separately.

    Great video and thanks for the tips! But what do you mean by BTO Resale flat, is that a new flat type?

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh ours is a resale flat but the previous owners BTO.

    Hi can i know how much does it cause to hack the existing floor tiles in your resale flat and laying of the new tiles?

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi the costs are in the video. We didn't hack all the existing tiles in our flat, just overlay over the old tiles.

    Hi, may I know the laminate code you used for your kitchen?

    Hi, i'm thinking to plaster over my kitchen wall titles too, but i heard have to see the condition of the existing wall tiles first. Any comment on this? :)

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a coin to check if your wall tiles are hollow if you're worried about the condition (I have a video about tiling). If not then just hack and plaster should also be cheaper than hacking and retiling.

  • @KoKoThePomeranian
    @KoKoThePomeranian ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you mind to share more about the plastering of kitchen wall tiles? Any recommendation?

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We plaster the kitchen wall tiles since we don't want to spend even more money to retile the kitchen. Just need to paint over the plaster. We don't do heavy cooking so we're ok with it.

    • @KoKoThePomeranian
      @KoKoThePomeranian ปีที่แล้ว

      @LivingwithSun the plastering is done by yourself or ID? I'm thinking to plaster the tiles since only a corner of it.

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh it's done by our ID. I think they used something called easi plaster.

    is it easy to clean the kitchen since there is no tile backsplash and there is only wall now?

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup still easy to clean. We don't do heavy cooking so no oil stains on the plain wall so far.

    Hi I noticed you did not hack away all your tiles in your living room, but you have new living room tiles. May I know if you simply overlayed the new tiles onto the old tiles? Thank you!

    I'm just wondering why you can't have slightly different levels for the bedroom and the living area. Is it so important to be level?

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We wanted to minimise the risk of tripping and make it easier for us and our robot vacuum to clean. 🙂

    After the covid saga, everything just bloom up by eye watering price increases…these type of simple renovation cost $30k to $40k max

    • @LivingwithSun
      @LivingwithSun  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know right? Inflation is crazy. In the 1990s my mum only paid $10k for her HDB renovation. I think now in 2023/2024 it will be even higher.
