Finally after almost 1 full year, I'm done with my final edits for our 4 Room HDB home reno which took about 4 months! Apologies this took wayyyy longer than expected because # adulting

Hi Sharlynn, I thought $50k for the hacking, carpentry works and some smart home integration in your video is reasonable. It seems like your husband is quite saavy with tech. As a non-tech person, I'm interested to know how much work did you put in for this renovation and how much was in consultation with/ proposed by the ID. Thanks!
Love this 4 room home tour. Prices and home design are balanced realistically, unlike many others that are overly done. Would be even better if there is a breakdown of prices of each item like how it came up to 50k.

OMG! This is hands down the best minimalist home tour i've seen!
Everything is well thought out and even the colour scheme chosen compliments everything in the house. No clutter at all.
And all that within the budget of 50k is so impressive! Absolute quality!

Wow the furnitures and appliances for the house are all of premium and higher tiered choices. The sofa itself is almost $7k and the dining table is almost $5k. Hitachi Fridge and Steigen system are not basic choices too. But of course, if budget is not an issue, its money well spent. (Maybe?)

Wow, the colour of the interior all around and the lights for certain room are exactly what i want for my future home. Extremely nice overall but wait you said 4 rooms yet you only show 3 rooms. Do you mean living room is part of the 4 rooms as in 3+1?
Thank you!! My husband had the design ideas in mind and our ID brought his ideas to a whole new level 😍 In Singapore, a 4Bedroom HDB (public) home includes the living area as 1 room, with 3 other common bedrooms! So yesss technically it’s 3+1!

The British decided that. In English (UK English) The living area is called living room, so it is not necessary a private room. similarly, a dining room is also a room, so a 5 room HDB also has only 3 bedroom.
As long that you have oyen, your life will save.

Thanks for the comment! We did a very simple lighting design for both toilets, just one light source on the ceiling and an ambient light below our mirrors.
The toilets are relatively small and to be honest the main ceiling light would usually be more than enough to keep your toilet lit! The only main difference we made was on our main toilet where I explained how I custom made LED strips within my mirror cabinets at 13:26 !

Thank u! We’ve a cat tower in the living room, more places for her to climb in the study room, and an automated cat litter box in the service yard- all not shown for aesthetic purposes while filming this video 😅 so far she hasn’t scratched anything in our home yet so thank god 🤞🏻

Hello! Sorry I’m not too sure about this cause we left it to our ID to settle, but if I rmb correctly you can’t go down to their showroom and only authorised IDs etc can get samples. From what I recall, our ID showed us a few samples from their selection and that’s how we chose our final design!

I have gone thru some concrete or cement screed design vinyl planks but most of them are too patchy and the shades between the light/dark grey are just too obvious. Prefer something more subtle like your current flooring. Mind if you check with your ID at your convenience? Thanks!
Hihi, thanks for sharing! We wanted to get the same BLUM system for the dish rack that opens parallel to the cabinet (i suppose it's Aventos HL?). May I know how much is the clearance required above the door? Because our ID was saying we might not enough clearance to accommodate the door :(

Backsplash nice but rough texture will be challenging to maintan for those who regularly cook. And it would be better to use dark gray or black grout instead of light grout that looks obvious
I agree! We don’t do much heavy cooking so it won’t affect us much but it’ll def be hard to maintain for those who cook regularly :/ Actually our grout lines are light grey for the kitchen, I think it’s showing up closer to white on camera under lighting haha

How has it been, putting your makeup in your toilet? I am concerned because most makeup usually are advised not to put in a warm placed and I'm wondering if the toilet would be too warm for storing makeup after showering? I would also prefer to store my makeup in the toilet to save space.
Tbh so far so good! I don’t have a lot of makeup and usually store all of it in a pouch, it doesn’t get too humid in the shower to the point where my makeup will get damaged etc so no real issues so far! But I can say the LED lights really help a lot haha

Nope, the $50k reno mostly involves just hacking, carpentry, installation and other reno costs, appliances/furnitures costs etc not included!

Even without home appliance, Sponsor Reno la, for 50k which includes hacking and reno whole resales 4rm impossible, I just almost done up my current unit for almost 40+k just for living, dinning, level up balcony, study room, that's all, those kitchen, bedrooms, toilet not even include, lol
I wish it was sponsored 😂 nothing about the reno costs was sponsored, but I’ve heard reno costs have gone up over the last few months. We started our reno around Jan 2022 which was almost 1 year ago so maybe that’s why there’s such a huge price disparity 😅

Beautifully renovated👍...but you call this "minimalist"?🧐 It's very cluttered with cabinets, shelves and wardrobes 😜. I think, true minimalist won't need so many cabinets because they tend not to hoard items.😅
