You can be so proud of yourselves. You made it look easy, but we can’t even build one ikea unit without arguing 😂 so know that it’s not. Fantastic video and a beautiful room.
Excellent job. Great design, beautifully finished. For me one of the biggest impressions: a delightful couple, each doing what they do best as a complementary team. If only more couples would see the benefits. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
This is what i dreamed of having! You and Simon are the King and Queen of hags. What a beautiful space you have created. I love your creativity. You have mastered the game of simplicity and fanctionality. Your dogs are so lucky to have you. Impressed once again Emma. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤
Morning guys, you two are the ‘top guns’ of renovations and beautiful style. This project clearly took an enormous amount of working out plus lateral thinking. The end product looks incredible, every single tiny detail has been taken into account.A massive high five to you incredible work !!!.
This is such an amazing laundry/utility room makeover. You wouldn’t be able to tell that you hacked multiple IKEA products to suit your space, Emma - it loooks absolutely amazing! 😮 I can’t wait to see the dog bath/sink video. Such a smart idea. Definitely something I’ll look to be doing with my water loving girl 🐶
I think I stated on your closet redo, that I CHOSE Ikea for my kitchen, quite large, and just upgraded my appliances and countertop, and I am totally SOLD on it. I never want any other type of room cabinets. I like the drawer assembly, the hinges are top notch, the cleanability, just everything about it. You did an amazing job here, it's stunning, plus the design was so optimal! I am a big Ikea fan. Isn't it nice to walk into a newly designed room, with all of the goodies for your babies!!! Well done!
What a functional, practical and stylish utility room! Your creativity and design ideas are showcased in this much used room. As always your hack ideas are clever and allow you to create affordable spaces.
It's amazing. When I buy Ikea they look cheap in my home but you and simon make a great job and the Laundry look beautiful and expensive. Really beautiful. Stupenda.
Now that is serious inspiration for a future laundry room renovation. Very clever. It looks like a very expensive install, Emma. Seamlessly fits with the rest of your home. Very functional, too. ❤
With every project I think you’ve outdone yourselves and then you drop a glow up like this! Absolutely stunning creative result and it looks so high end. Love the stacking of the washing machine and dryer. You, Simon and Callum are a dream team ❤
Every comment expresses my fascination with your work! This room is beyond my expectations. It took your experience and sense of planning to create such a beautiful and functional room. You could definitely become planners for people’s dreams. Love everything about this room as well as the rest of your home! I don’t know what else you have planned, ….. perhaps another fix-it-upper home? I cannot wait for the next episode!😍😍❤️❤️
Not for a few years probably given the current financial situation in the UK. With the interest rates rising we’ll be staying out for a bit. We’ve still got plenty of projects left to do here though 🙌🏼
What a wonderful transformation Emma! You and Simon should be so proud of such a brilliant job! The Stylish Utility Room of All Utility Rooms! And using all those IKEA hacks as well. It looks like an extremely high end mega expensive job. You both have such wonderful attention to detail. Love that the Bs have their own bath too. Can't wait to see how you built this! Looking forward greedily to more reno vids! Love to you, Simon and the Bs. X
Looks great! I don’t know how Simon can manage without a chop saw, at least, I use mine all the time. I can cross-cut any lumber with it up to 18” wide, and make compound angle cuts, of course. I also have a rolling-stand mounted table saw for rip-cuts and beveling edges. Both were used constantly during my remodeling.
He’s just always used a manual saw. We do have a skill saw but the battery died after about a minute so it’s just easier and less faffing about to use a manual saw. As I mentioned we couldn’t justify spending money on a table mitre saw, especially when Simon is happy to use a manual one x
Such a lovely new addition, Emma and Simon! The dogs would love it, so would you in the years to come, as they will, in every sense of the term, leave the home spotless!
Just FYI for others. Most matching washer dryer sets can easily be mounted on top of each other using a bracket from the manufacturer of the machines. I have done so with many sets easily.
It looks great and extremely practical! You both should be very proud of what you’ve created. Well Done!!❤

Congratulations! Its beautiful! Love the scandi design of it. Simple, elegant, practical and most important you can actually use everything! Well done 👍
Having just finished my utility remodel, I'm sad I didn't see this sooner! I love mine too, but yours is very elegant and cost effective! Well done and thanks for sharing!
That is a stunning utility room. I have a 5x5 cubby and dream about this kind of style that will never happen, but I can still live vicariously through you……❤
You two are such a team !! I don't comment very often but just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your HOME serie. Your minimalist and stylish tastes are so inspiring. As your closet is.
This turned out beautifully!!! I love these ikea hacks. On the window film. When we had new windows, our supplier warned us for privacyfilm on doubleglass windows. He said it heightens the chance of cracking the window.
Yay, a DIY and hack video from Simon and Emma! Absolutely perfect 👍🏼. Love everything about this one. Callum coming through with the tile work again. He’s a true expert and professional. Looking forward to seeing/hearing how the lil B’s like their new bath. Congrats you two and very well done. Take care!
Absolutely stunning, and as so many others have said, a masterpiece of thought, planning, design and meticulous work! It looks amazing, and I’m looking forward to a demo of the dog bath, lol!! Great job! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩
Great work. As the alcoves either side of our kitchen chimney were of unequal depth, I installed Ikea kitchen cabinets (60cms deep) on one side with fridge and dishwasher, on the other side I used Besta cupboards (40 cms deep). That was in 2012....😮 With no cooker hood and thousands of steamy meals later (!😂) the Besta cupboards and the others are still in excellent state. They show no wear, no damage and no signs of damp infiltration. TBH I see no difference between the MDF of the kitchen carcasses and the Besta ones. Another big plus of the latter though is in addition to the wide range of finishes they have so many different types of closures eg full doors, glass doors, 1/3rd glass reveal doors, big drawers, little drawers (sound like a 70's comedian now! 😂) Always looking on the bright side I'd say your utility room will be positively supporting your home life for a long time. Incidentally if you want to reduce the time drying clothes that can't go in the tumbler I also recommend a dehumidifier. They are worth their price because they cost little to run, really remove the damp and I've found they cut down on dog fluff and that wet dog smell as well as that whiff of the boys back from rugby 🎉🎉Yep a machine of miracles! 😂😂
Very very impressive result , you can be considered diy professionals at this point . I really like this utility room , a very cleaned up and tidy style , that matches the rest of your beautiful house . Love it. Great work guys! Lots of love from Italy💕… Cinzia
You've just inspired me to do this. I attempted a casing for my washer and dryer, but since we don't have ikea here in New Zealand (not yet anyway), I made one out of MDF panels. The only thing is, I haven't fixed it to the wall yet 😅 I will get onto that this week for sure. Thank you for always honestly sharing your progress. You're an inspiration to me, and I always look forward to your content, especially budget friendly ones that look a million bucks!
very very nice. I have 5 pax closets in my house, 2 in the kitchen and 3 in the living room, I had them 20 years now and I just emptied one to replace for plant shelving. mine are 60cm deep as back then I had one of those old tv's, not I wouldn't need 60 but my tv and stereo have been in there for 20 years, same in the kitchen, it houses all the small kitchen machines and pantry, they're now suffering from a leak from the fridge, so make sure no water can get underneath, but this looks very very cool
I think you’ve made a fantastic job between you. It certainly doesn’t look cheap. I hate the word cheap, it’s has smacks of rubbish about it. In my opinion even if something is reasonably priced it’s the fitting that’s important. It’s a yes from me! 👍🥰👏👏👏
Beautifully done - so impressed!!! I’d love to do similar. Just have to figure out how to build out the walls for the pipes in the basement which makes for a tricky space!
This renovation is as awesome as all the others in your house. You and Simon are such a great team. Looking forward to your other home renovation projects.
This is the most beautiful utility room I have ever seen! And the fact that you made it yourself using cheaper products makes it even better!
Isn't it tho'
No, it's not
Your attention to detail is what makes it look high end I think. Great job as always 👏👏👏
You two are probably the only people who can make a utility stylish 😊 The idea and the realisation are both amazing!
Thank you, I’ll be sharing my original drawings over on the home account on insta soon so you can see how it came to life 🙊
You can be so proud of yourselves. You made it look easy, but we can’t even build one ikea unit without arguing 😂 so know that it’s not. Fantastic video and a beautiful room.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Same here
🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣 I always build it alone 😁...very peaceful 😉
Haha I can relate!
😂
Yay! DIY with Emma and Simon! What a great result; stylish and inexpensive.
Excellent job. Great design, beautifully finished. For me one of the biggest impressions: a delightful couple, each doing what they do best as a complementary team. If only more couples would see the benefits. All the best, Rob in Switzerland

Wow wow wow!!! So Scandinavian, so practical, so minimalistic and so absolutely beautiful! Well done! Thanks for sharing ❤
This is such an amazing laundry/utility room makeover. You wouldn’t be able to tell that you hacked multiple IKEA products to suit your space, Emma - it loooks absolutely amazing! 😮
I can’t wait to see the dog bath/sink video. Such a smart idea. Definitely something I’ll look to be doing with my water loving girl 🐶
Thank you x
That's something I needed, with minimum and basic tools, that's relatable. And it doesn't look cheap at all. Kudos!
Wow! Never thought I’d say a utility room looked beautiful. You’re both so talented x
I think I stated on your closet redo, that I CHOSE Ikea for my kitchen, quite large, and just upgraded my appliances and countertop, and I am totally SOLD on it. Absolutely gorgeous! And the dog wash can double for a laundry soak! Perfect!!! Brava!❤ GENIUS!
It looks fabulous!!! No cheap feeling whatsoever!!! Thanks for Pax idea!!!
I need a video of the dogs getting a bath in their new tub! This is amazing, everything turned out incredible ! 🌟
That turned out so well, your whole home is flowing so beautifully and looks like such a tranquil space!
Thank you x
Amazing!! You guys made the video so accessible for anybody, but I can see some master-level using the tools. Wonderful done!

Oh this is brilliant! Favorite part- the dog wash station. We just might have to make one! Thanks for sharing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
With every project I think you’ve outdone yourselves and then you drop a glow up like this! Absolutely stunning creative result and it looks so high end. Love the stacking of the washing machine and dryer. You, Simon and Callum are a dream team ❤

Wow wow wow what a stunning utility! Congrats Emma, Simon and Callum on your amazing work! ❤

As always you have smashed it. Beautiful looking and practical. You have transformed the ground floor. Can't wait to see the upstairs transform.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful! Does not look cheap at all, indeed. Very, very, very well done! You should both be super proud ❤
That is a stunning utility room. I have a 5x5 cubby and dream about this kind of style that will never happen, but I can still live vicariously through you……❤
You can get creative even with a small space, just think outside the box, pardon the pun 😘
You two are such a team !! I don't comment very often but just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your HOME serie. Your minimalist and stylish tastes are so inspiring. As your closet is.
Thank you so much x
Great results but I don't understand......how does the washer gets it's water and where does it drain? Also where did you vent the dryer too?
This turned out beautifully!!! I love these ikea hacks. On the window film. When we had new windows, our supplier warned us for privacyfilm on doubleglass windows. He said it heightens the chance of cracking the window.
We put privacy glass on a window in our old house and it was there for 11 years with no issues so I can’t say that we’ve experienced that x
No way does that look cheap, you two are such an amazing duo, what a fab job that is one of the best Utility Rooms i have seen well done xx
Yay, a DIY and hack video from Simon and Emma! Absolutely perfect 👍🏼. Love everything about this one. Callum coming through with the tile work again. He’s a true expert and professional. It looks AMAZING !!! Your attention to the details and DIY ideas are one of a kind!
Good grief you are so clever, I know how much effort all that wood cutting and measuring takes. Incredible result x
What a beautiful utility room! Why you guys don’t have 1M subbies I will never know. Your DIY’s and renos are top notch 👌🏼
Ahhhh thank you so much ❤️

No, it doesn't look cheap at all. You two are so clever and handy. And may I say I never tire of hearing the way you pronounce garage ❤.
This is very clever and creative to use IKEA products however you want 👏

So stunning, really beautiful. It looks like a profesional company made it. Well done!!!
Thanks for showing that you can do a luxe look on a budget, Emma!
Beautifully done - so impressed!!! I’d love to do similar. Just have to figure out how to build out the walls for the pipes in the basement which makes for a tricky space!
Cutting everything with handsaw. Props to you! Impresive.
We decided to purchase a chop saw and skill saw after this 😆
