- GX160 head installation on a Predator 212
Added some more small engine performance parts to the Predator 212. Installed a GX160 head with a set of shaft-mounted 1:1 ratio rocker arms to the Predator 212 powered mini bike.
Engine mods include VM22 Mikuni carburetor, Slip-Stream BILLET 3.3lbs Flywheel, ARC Billet Alum Rod (3.328"+.020), ARC billet aluminum side cover,

For some reason it seems like youre getting less rpm than i am with my 212 and i have less engine work and smaller sprocket. Yours runs great but seems like it should rev higher.. i watched your cam install video just before this one.

Put a BMX fork and wheel on the front of that thing and drop the square front tire. Massive improvement in handling and you can have more brakes too.
Check out my other videos on this bike . I had it to 70 lol with crazy handling . It not to bad when you get over 50 . The wind must stabilize it .

Would the honda gx160 head be an upgrade on a tilly 212e hemi with a 265 banzai cam or not worth the effort?
Mini bikes have been my hobby the last several years and I'm still technically learning. what exactly does putting a 160 head do for the engine? Is it more compression somehow or
I figured smaller head would mean less airflow
The combustion chamber is smaller on a GX160 head compared to a standard Predator head. It Adds compression. I don't think the ports flow as well as a standard predator head but you can make up the difference with some port work.

I was looking for valve stem seals last night and seen the GX160 head complete for freaking $29. I ordered it up. I'm wondering if the stems are 5mm or 5.5 because the 5.5 ones are more available. Guess I'll be polishing another intake now 😉

U need a smaller back sprocket so u can get that top in speed cuz u can hear the motor over riding you gear.get a 65 tooth sprocket
I have multiple videos coming out where I change gear ratios on this bike in all different kinds of ways.
All this stuff for me is really just for fun and testing purposes. So sometimes I might have too much gear or too little gear, it's always changing.
I wonder if i can just run the pushrods and rockers off a stock gx 160 with the gx 160 head on my predator 212

Engine sounds great. Have you figured out what the compression ratio is?
Thanks! No, I haven't figured that out yet. It's has a 14cc chamber so it has to be around 11.0 :1 - 11.5 :1 or somewhere in there. You can definitely feel it when you pull start it.
Do you do port and polish work if I send you a head?

I like the GX 160 Honda, a Great engine. It's actually a 6.5 Predator 212 with a GX160 head. It's a nice compression bump with the 14cc combustion chamber.
what size difference between Coleman cc100x and mb80-105 is frame a little bigger?
They are really similar in size.

Did you use lash caps on both intake and exhaust I only have one lash cap on my engine
I only ended up using a lash cap on the exhaust side.
Why not use both lash caps? I'm new and learning thats why I'm asking. I never saw any Predator 212 videos with just one lash cap. Should come with two right?
@@ChristopherJones16 It depends on the head. I'm running a GX160 Honda-style head on the 212. It came with one lash cap.

Yes just make sure you re jet it correctly and by a new exhaust and you will be fine

It has a 265 lift cam.
Doesn't this head have smaller valves then the predator?
It has the same size valves as a standard predator 212 25mm/24mm. The Hemi Predator has bigger valves.

The front and the back are 5 inch rims

I have quite a few videos running top speed with the GX 160 head .
what length push rods?
please let me know boss
I'm using the 5.260 length pushrods right now with a 0.012 head gasket. There was no milling to the block or head when I made this video. I did use the stock length 5.200 pushrod with this combo for a while but the rocker angle looked better with the longer pushrod.
