    Yep we spend around $1,500 a month on grocery in Texas as well! We buy quality food as well so that’s not bad

    We live in Unincorporated Pinellas, too, and our garbage is included in our taxes. You don't want to know what our taxes are, it nets out to about $1,200/year and our place is smaller than yours, but we bought a foreclosure that needed a lot of sweat equity that has tripled in value since 2016. The Unqualified sale plus SOH is Saving Our Asses LOL...!

      Nice! Our taxes are not cheap, but not having to pay state income tax makes it a wash. 😎

    Hi Juan, thanks again for more great info! Aldi for my groceries. haha
    Just paid my property tax for the year, $2900, 37 year old house. Sheffield, Ohio. I just looked up the cost of living on bestplaces, and it lists it as 81, 19% lower than the national average. No wonder I had some sticker shock when I looked up Florida costs.
    I'm near Cleveland and I'm surprised The Cleveland Clinic hasn't built a facility in the Tampa area. I think they are somewhere else in Florida.

    What gets you is the cost of going out to eat. 87% of the things to do are eating and drinking in Tampa Bay area so it adds up. $9 beers $15 cocktails, even waffles are a lot. Waffles (not chicken and waffles, just waffles) are $19 at the Urban Stillhouse.

    • @trulivingtampa
      @trulivingtampa  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Urban Stillhouse is definitely not cheap. Great experience and worth it in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

    Don't move to Florida. Insurance is outrageous,It's Expensive, red tide, hurricanes, Very humid, over populated, houses are very expensive. You're comparing the cost of living to Massachusetts and California.😂😂 If you were a good realtor, you would be telling people not to move here because of the cost of homes. They are outrageous.

    • @trulivingtampa
      @trulivingtampa  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Thanks for sharing. The median sales price in Tampa Bay is only a few thousand dollars more the the rest of the county. Everything, everywhere has become expensive. From a costal perspective we are undervalued on the real estate side.

    1280sqft house here in st Pete. I can’t find an insurance quote under $2650/yr. Who are you using?
    Also, $415k will only get you about 1000-1200sqft here in st Pete. I’m not in a flood or evacuation zone.
