We just moved from Sarasota to the coast of NC after our home insurance went from $2500 to $7800. That was the straw that broke the camels back on top of record setting heat and red tide that never seemed to go away. Doubled our money on our home in 3 years and bought a nicer home for 1/3rd of the price.

A lot of people can't survive in FL, because they don't know how to budget their money. And live off of a 9 to 5, instead of creating their own thing. Don't try to keep up with the Jones, save your money & invest!

It's just not in FL, it's everywhere. FL is just a tiny bit higher because you live , where ppl vacation at. BUT FL is no where near as expensive as NYC, CA, MD, Hawaii and few other states I am not aware of. The good thing about FL, is there is money there. FL doesn't have cities that been left for dead...if you truly want to succeed in FL, you will.

Well said, Tommy. I couldn’t agree more.

How can you succeed when these jobs average $15 an hour?

      Simplify. The Beachcomber agrees...

Most jobs pay between 15-20 an hour. Average rent is 1500 a month half of your wage goes to rent if not more. That doesn't include any other living expenses.

Be a “Snowbird”…be here in the Winter and NOT in the Summer. It is BRUTAL hot. And gotten horribly expensive. And traffic is a nightmare. Getting very polluted, air and water. It’s bad. TampaBay IS a large urban city.

Just want to mention the math ain’t mathin’.
We went from $3500 mortgage, plus $600 utilities.
    This equals $4100.
Plus the $1700 in vehicle expenses.
    This is $5800.
In the video it was stated as $6800. From that point all the numbers were skewed.
So the end total is actually a $1000 less than what is states in this video. Just trying to clarify for the people 😉
