Pobre geração 2000! Nunca vai saber o que é música de verdade! Isso que é um espetáculo. Sou geração 90 e aprendi a ouvir músicas desse tipo graças ao meu pai! Queria ter nascido um pouco antes pra poder escutar isso dentro de uma balada com a minha idade atual, sem celular, sem redes sócias, sem nada. Só viver a melodia que essa música proporciona. Por isso que os mais velhos que eu, nascidos em 50/60 falam que os anos 80 foram mágicos! Isso é música! Obrigado.

Tenho 53 anos,quando essa música foi lançada eu tinha somente 15...saudades,eu lembro que a ouvia numa Brasília do meu pai lá no ESTADO do Pará numa vw/Brasília verde ano 81 com banco reclinável e o rádio dela era o ótimo roadstar da moda/epoca.Agora depois de tantos anos agora nesse instante estou ouvindo-a no meu carro (Fiat Strada volcano) zero km...Como Deus é maravilhoso realiza SONHOS e maravilhas na nossa vida basta crer e trabalhar.HOJE tenho minha casa e 3 filhos maravilhosos! Quer saber quando um cantor é de verdade? Essa é uma amostra - O cara canta igual (e melhor) que a musica do estúdio, com a mesma voz (linda - rouca), potência, alma, força, qualidade... Não fica enrolando, inventando coisa ou fazendo firulas... Canta como se fosse a primeira vez. É perfeito. Sem falar do fato dessa música ser uma obra de arte para o gênero e época - tem uma melodia tão linda que chega a doer. O arranjo é muito bem construído, criativo e gradual (vai melhorando ate o ápice). 6 minutos de música e nada cansativa...

@@jupiterthecity AutoTune and similar technologies were developed in the mid-90s. this show was recorded in the 80s. you even have the date in the description. that's not to say it can't be remastered years later, but I feel artists of this caliber would consider it overproduction at George-Lucas levels. The challenge would be to find a version of this recording in its original format and then compare.

@@ryancampbell5039 when we had TV and radio only? When we were fed with a handful of artist declared great by the industry? Don't get me wrong, this tune is great, and the folks in Mr Mister were great aetists. As far as I remember, the band was formed by session musicians, they knew what they were doing, and they did it with excellence. However, for each Mr Mister hitting the top of the charts back then, there were plenty of great bands making great music that we never heard of and never will because they just did not make it. We like to believe in hard working, meritocracy, the success of the very best, but in reality those artist, as great as they were, just got lucky to be noticed by the right people, or to have a relative working within the music industry. So when you compare it to nowadays, when everybody is putting out their music and TV and radio have less, if not none, influence on what we find great, it's easy to understand why before the internet it felt like only great music were playing, or, like you said, why we did not have to search for it. It's easy to just rely on what we know it's good. It was curated for us, plus it happened when we were young, so there's plenty of emotions and memories attached. Now you have to do it yourself, and you know what? It's better. We still have access to the songs we learned to love when growing up, but now we can also listen to the bands that would remain unnoticed if we were back in the 80s. You can - and you should - dive into Last Fm and Spotify and through related artists, hit play and listen. Once you conquer the independence to allow yourself to enjoy what your heart and soul says is good instead of what the industry says is good, there's just no limits. There are fantastic music being made today. You just have to be open.

Wow, wow, wow, that was absolutely magnificent! This is better than the studio version which was fantastic in its own way. Richard Page's vocals were top tier and the subtle bassline was extraordinary. Simply magic, one of my most favorites songs from the 80s, the best decade, period. Bring back wonderful memories. Already 51 but, it gives you the same feeling. Thank God I was able to live thru it.

I admit I loved the song but found it passable most of the time on my favorites list UNTIL I accidentally heard this live version. Damn! it blew me out of the rafters. I had to repeat it so many times without retiring. Classic!
