      No, he lost his brother because he had led his brother down the same path. If Derek had never been involved in that hate filled life from the start, Danny would still be alive. Even if Derek hadn’t changed his path and had chosen to continue down that road, Danny likely still would’ve died anyway, because the damage was sorta already done. At least this way, Derek can make sure it never happens to anyone else he cares about by being better. It may have been too late to save Danny, but it isn’t too late to save the others.

    • @naveenlife7721

    • @guldmattbb473
      @guldmattbb473 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      naveen life
      Derek involved him simply by being on that path in the first place himself. His negativity seeped onto his brother, who looked up to him and thought the world of Derek. Not only that, but seeing that Derek was arrested for killing those black people at the beginning of the film pushed Danny to blame them for getting him out away. Now, mind you, I’m not saying Derek was wrong to try and stop his car from getting stolen. But the way he went about it was to literally kill two people over a car, but Danny instead saw what he did as somewhat heroic and that he was unfairly arrested for it.
      Derek choosing to spread hatred and create enemies, as well as inspiring Danny to do the same only pushed those enemies he made to retaliate, thus Danny died

    This film is an absolutely articulate and persuasive way to explain anybody that anger based on racism issues is something we owe to violence on this planet. "Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it." tells us one character's quote. The bottom line is that in 21st century you must realized that any actions depend only on personal qualities instead of the colour of somebody's skin.

    A very difficult movie to watch, a bit like what's happening these days, it was sad how it ended but after a while, I realized that it was unavoidable retribution, I don't con-down it, it simply is what happens to kids, regardless of who and what color you are; the black and white scenes are very powerful, sad story but needed to be told,Norton and Furlong were outstanding, hatred begets hatred, it has to stop now!

    Amazing movie! Had such a huge impact on me, i spend the whole movie crying starting when derek kills the guys. Hate will never win and it brings nothing good to us or the world, they want us to be mad at each other and we are so blind that we cant see the truth of life that is everyone in this world wants the same thing and everyone is equal, different countrys, cultures and ambitions but we all want to be happy, protect our family, we all have hearts and we should be patient and understanding to each other, everyone has a different point of view and deals with things a different way, i think the point is not hurt anyone, because everything is personal, changing our perspective will change everything. We must be at peace and no let pride and hate eat us alive
