The way he was obviously crying as he was laughing, the way he was trying to say "I have a condition." Through his involuntary laughter, it was all so wonderfully disturbing.
Such a brilliant actor to be able to that. It’s a real condition which I forget the name of. Often children who suffer long term abuse will laugh as they cry to try and mitigate reality
I loved the movie, the origin of the Joker made much more sense than the chemical accident story. It's like the dark knight joker said, one bad day is enough to turn a man into a monster
Also it’s the fact he had a high risk job immediately after finding out his pregnant wife died in a car accident and he was also down on his luck being a failed comedian, all origins are valid “All it takes is one bad day”
I disagree. The red hood joker from killing joke cannot be saved. The damage is too much. With Batman’s capacity for empathy he could help Arthur. Arthur could be saved. Maybe not to the point where you can release him, but in a nice hospital with caring doctors. He could improve dramatically. Arthur’s violent tendencies don’t seem to be natural they also seem to weigh on him psychologically to some degree. Like he’s shocked at his own actions. There’s a part of part that can see how sick and wrong the murder is, but it’s buried beneath so much Gotham-made joker.
As low as this sounds I was smiling when Joker killed the last guy crying and screaming for his life. People who prey on others wail the second tables turn on them
It does sound dark but I’d be lying if I said I did feel a sense of satisfaction that guy probably has committed more than one crime and him and his friends we’re probably gonna hurt or rape that girl if joker didn’t start laughing
Aarush Hecox he did deserve it. They were all beating Arthur’s ass and wouldn’t even let him tell them about his condition, after only moments earlier they also were preying on that woman! In my opinion they deserved to get shot for being piles of shit.
Arthur didn't hesitate in killing any of them, even chased down the third guy. after getting beaten up and bullied so much he stands up for himself but in doing so shows how unhinged he can be, perfect.
Unhinged? In Texas this is called self defense or stand your ground. Lmao maybe not the part where he chased down the third guy, but are you really gonna let that guy go and press charges? Better dead than alive.
This story isn’t glorifying a villain, it’s explaining how good people become the villain. What other people see is the monster, this movie let’s people see the person behind the monster.
Arthur isn't a normal person though. He had childhood trauma and most of his experiences are probably unreliably narrated, such as his close female neighbor never even existing. The story is told from the Joker's perspective expertly to the point you can't distinguish what is real. I've only seen a few media marvelously executing the "perspective from a mentally ill person" method and this great movie is one of those.

The fact they went from this masterpiece to the mess of a sequel is just sad. Now we won’t ever get a conclusion to this story
I loved the movie, the origin of the Joker made much more sense than the chemical accident story. It's like the dark knight joker said, one bad day is enough to turn a man into a monster
No, it was from The Killing Joke
I think ur reffering to
"Madness is alot like gravity, all it takes is a little push"
Technically, chemicals do play a role in emotions, well I don’t know how. So you could say this Joker chemically turned into a villain too
Also it’s the fact he had a high risk job immediately after finding out his pregnant wife died in a car accident and he was also down on his luck being a failed comedian, all origins are valid
“All it takes is one bad day”

The three guys are both
lmao
The difference between Joker and TDK trilogy is Nolan movies have good plot but extremely one-dimensional characters especially lead character Bale's Bland Wayne
But here characters given first priority and it shows in Joaquin
What a funny joke
I don't care how drunk those three guys were, if I was alone on a subway train with a clown and he started laughing for no reason I would've moved to the next car
That's what the lady did
Clowns scare me
Absolutely
Clowns weren't thought of as scary looking as much back then.
Now I wonder where the lady was when he started going *_SO ANYWAYS I STARTED BLASTING_* mode
