Legends didn't care about your feelings and in the end it gut punched you a lot. The Dark Times comic series did that for me. I was not expecting that shit. I had to re-read the speech bubble 3 times before I realized just how fucked it was...

@@Barabel22 Dark Horse did a good job at crippling the reader's emotions and opening out views apart from the Jedi and Sith dogma. They allowed us to peer into the stories and lives of other characters that you might have only seen for 3 minutes in the films or even some that never even got shown. Marvel might be "young" with their grasp on the franchise atm but these fools have had the rights to the universe for over 6 years now and still haven't got close to even Jango Fett: Open Seasons levels of emotional baggage or violence. Sure, Momin got crushed and a Jedi Master got thrown in a raging flooded city but that pales in comparison to how terribly awful one could die like in Legends...

Yes! And also what would happen if they refused or if they did wear the stormtrooper armour and use their guns, what would happen to the old weapons and armor / what would they do with it? Wear it to specific battles? (Idk but questions are certainly there.)

Not all armies are made to be perfect. Not even clones themselves.
The clones were a perfect army the only thing that held the republic clone army was the sith and the Jedi, and the courupt senate, if there was no couruption and the Jedi weren't incompetent and last but not least If the palpatine didn't want to drag out the war to turn aniken to the dark side the clone army would of took over the within the first batch of clones but in the attack of Genosis killed most of the republic commandos and the ark trooper and basically all the specially trained trooper that was trained, by jango Fett, and other manorlains

Nothings is perfect, only better ... and the Clone Army from Star Wars ( in my heart ) are one of the Best if not the Best army in Sci-fi movie History. A Profesional Army fought in a Glactics size universe, supported by strongs Star-fitgher core, Spec-ops or Commando units, with all kinds of Armors tanks / walkers / artillery ( too be faire, the Navy side are kinda weak, lack in powerful and diffirent type of warship comperes to other Faction like the Empire and CIS )

I've noticed he has more determination than other imperials the none clone stormtroopers don't seem to take their duties to their friends seriously. It's only thing admire the clones for really other than their skill in battle the friendships they build seem more genuine than that of regular people
I think it comes from, they grew up being told they were nothing but robotic meat bags, that they are bred to be slaves, that they should do nothing but live and die for their masters, and than the moment someone extends to them kindness it causes them to emotionally cling to that person for dear life, for it's the only form of kindness they know

Pretty much my favorite characters. Besides the usual characters, the clones are so amazing. They maybe physically alike but mentally, personality, and story wise are all unique.

Dark Horse outdid themselves with these stories they made. They were so good. It still make me wonder to this day why LucadFilms and Disney would throw away such quality content that could have pleased the fans/consumers and made then profit. Like, there could have been a whole series that told these stories in an animated format like TCW while the New movies focused on the Post-Endor fight with Imperial Warlords...

The chips are utter BS and don't exist in nearly all of the EU. Clones weren't pure either. They were subtly genetically engineered to follow orders, and also very heavily indoctrinated to follow them too. Thats why some chose not to follow order 66.

Pretty sure Tenebrae, Vitiate, Valkorian or whatever you want to call him holds the highest kill count. Dude ate 2 worlds (that we know of) and had thousands upon thousands more killed indirectly due to his need for war and death. His kill count is probably past 25 Million for lowball and just over 2 billion if we highball the score.

I like stories like this. Like, sure the Empire may be the enemy to the protagonists. But people tend to forget that the soldiers of the empire are still *people.*
People with different lives, emotions, families, and motivations. Maybe one soldier truly believes in the Empire's ideals. Maybe another soldier just didnt have anywhere else to go and joined the military. Maybe yet another soldier was forced into service.
Who cares. Being intolerant and ruling through violence is a choice, and one enforced upon others on top of that. You can't be tolerant with intolerant people, they will eat you alive along with your tolerancy. And then tolerancy will not survive anymore. And that's it, really, in both Star Wars and real life, that is how it is.
That is so beautiful. Both canon and legends have there pros and cons and this falls in the beauty part of legends.

its this sort of story that makes me hate the chips idea from the CGI clone wars. it makes the clones seem too clean, too friendly, too good. they can do no wrong, and the ones who killed jedi were forced to, instead of choosing between loyalties (which is a lot sadder of a story to tell than 'i cant control myself' style stories).
now the clones are all evil because of the chips, and somehow worse shots but thats for another day, and you dont get clones like this who are still good people but just prefer the empire because its what they think is right.
Gotta day I’ve always hated how they changed the clones reason for betraying the Jedi to some mind control chip. Takes away all their agency and attempts to show how loyalty to an ideal or government or anything like that can hve you betray even those close to you.
Also nice to show why people would actually support the empire rather than have them as some lame incompetent villian

It's hard to believe that someone witnessed their impending doom in mere seconds of seeing a torpedo shoot down the exaust port of a major empire space station..
In a war there is no good or bad side you only get to see one point of view but not both sides and the people are fighting for what they believe in and that nobody should judge whether one side's ideology

That'd be... very difficult. How do you show the slaving, genocidal racists as the good guys? You COULD show Imperial forces fighting against the more extremist factions of the Rebel Alliance like Saw's Partisans, but all you have to do to muddy the waters is pan over to Alderaan. The Empire will never be the 'good guys'. The most you can hope for is highlighting the civil war's grey areas.

@@TheSuperRatt Well, while Japanese did commit atrocities and other war crimes in WW2, we see Letters from Iwo Jima, Japanese perspective movie where the Japanese general shares hardships with his men.
For Korean War, you have Legends of the Patriots (aka Comrades) and 38th Parallel, both are South Koreans and Chinese perspective war drama respectively. In Comrades, North Koreans and some Chinese are antagonist. In 38th Parallel, Americans and South Koreans are antagonists.
