  • This is a great pain free way to take of that old bland ugly wallpaper off your Rv/Motorhome walls. I am prepping these walls for paint and did not want to paint over the wall paper. You need three tools to get er done. Watch this short video to find out how.

Best tutorial, the hairdryer is the best method I've discovered.

OK people get yourself a heat gun. Also get yourself a wood working chisel. That way you can scrape the vinyl off and do less damage to the plywood cause that it what it really is. About a 1/4 inch thick. Also remove all stripping, screws , staples and nails. The vinyl will catch on this. Cut around all areas you want to peel and cut it in stripe about 6 to 8 inches wide and cut the wall in half. Don't heat the back side where the glue is. Keep the heat in front as you pull. Lastly and MOST IMPORTANT: DONT BE IN A RUSH. I took my time did all the prep before I started and got more done in less time than my wife. Now I have to go back and clean up what she started with vinyl stuck in small pieces that she said had more glue on them but when the vinyl heats up it tears and if you rush it makes a mess. Thanks to this guy I don't have to try and pa8nt over or put vinyl over vinyl. The boss was looking at peel and stick. Now with walls clean irs paint baby!

Its a 2001 coach and needed updating. I wanted the Rv to feel like a home instead of a motorhome. Hope the tips helped you.

I discovered the leak as I was pulling the old floor up. It was pretty bad under the drivers seat, so I had to replace the subfloor. So with your Rv, a fair amount of leaks come from the windows. The butyl tape can go bad after many years. I had to reseal one of the windows a few years ago. Check around your windows for wall paper that looks crinkled. Thats a dead give away.

@@thisoldcoacheverythingrv2625 We are replacing driver and passenger windows. Now the rest of the windows have the crinkle effect. I thought to just unscrew and stretch the paper back into the window. I guess it's more than just that. Will check videos to see how you took care of this problem. Thanks.
