Roben-Marie, this is such a cute idea, and what a lovely gift to give a fellow crafter. I thought it might be fun too to do one for Christmas, Birthday, Valentines Day, etc, and fill them with gift tags, Heart cards, whatever might fit the occasion that the recipient could use. Thank you so much for sharing this creative pouch with all your followers. Hugs and please stay safe.
Love it! What a great gift for art friends. I may make just the inside pouches for a cousins reunion coming in Sept. will let you know if I do. Saw your name in my 2023 Oct,Nov,Dec art journaling magazine. ❤
I made one of these. It was a great project. Love the pouches. I did it a little different and used my art work to embellish. Wish there was a way to post pictures here. Thanks for sharing such a great ideal. I did have fun.
Very cute! Thanks for the tip about heavyweight tracing paper! Sometimes I add a little fabric tab/pull to the top or side of a tag; that would be cute here, too, instead of the paper tabs. I have some Liberty print fabric strips, and that’s a fun way to use them - just cut a 2.5 inch piece, fold it over, and glue or stitch. It adds textural interest, too. Thanks for the video, R-M! Well done! (I plan to create some splattery paper like you’ve done. So pretty and fun!)
Just in time for summer break - several little girls I know will love getting these in the mail. I think I'll add some stamped blank postcards inside so they can send some mail art, too.
Absolutely fabulous! Thank you for sharing. I am so going to make a couple of these for my special art friends. Plus the bonus is I get to reduce some of my paper stash!!!
Yes, that is exactly how it came about. I was sending art bits to a friend for a swap and wanted to send them in something pretty! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks so much! Most of the stash you see in this project was created in my Booklet Bundles of Joy workshop: robenmariestudio.com/p/bookletbundlesofjoy
I love this idea, and your one looks really lovely. I've never seen that mulberry paper before, it's gorgeous. I wonder if I can get it here in the UK? Thanks for sharing, I love your videos. Julia. x
I love this so much I watched it a second time! Your projects and ideas are always much appreciated! I have to admit--as a long-time sewer--I keep wanting to clip the stringy threads you leave on, but I guess that's part of your signature?
Why is it called mulberry paper? Does it come with the design already on it? Interesting. I’m so glad to have some recent vids from you‼️. You are one of my main fave nspirations❣️❣️❣️❣️💜💙💚💚💙💜
That is very sweet and thanks so much! I am not sure why it is mulberry paper. This one is called bee hive, I guess because of the circular pattern. I have used other types of mulberry that was thin and just fibrous.
I want to be a friend, these pouches are amazing and such a wonderful original idea! Looking forward to taking your new classes with bundles and scraps! @anonymous.palette
I love this
Glad you enjoyed it!!

Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed it!! I hear that from "sewers" so cut them if you like...I kind of like the messy look!
Gorgeous Robyn - can I ask what width are the strips of paper u used on the top of the tracing paper? Thanks Rhonda
Thanks so much...about 9 inches x 2.5 inches.
