Doesn’t Dorian have a dialogue about wanting to visit a necropolis as a kid but never getting to? With Cassandra I think and then she groans about it bc she doesn’t like it
The Grand Necropolis' access to the crypts is heavily restricted. So I think it would not be that strange if Dorian just was there as a guest in Nevarra City for some kind of exchanging study but never really get a chance to actually enter the Necropolis. I mean... You wouldn't want to put a son of a foreign dignitary into the place where there's a chance that they could either find some state's secrets or found themself in some kind of danger.
Tarquin seems to be coming from the same city where House Pavus originated from. I thought the hairstyle is traditional Tevinter at large, not specific Ventus/Qarinus.
Dorian is born ln 9:11 Dragon. And Veilguard is set in, what, 9:52 Dragon or something like that, since it's 9 years after trespasser. So he's only in his 40's, ish :)
I thought Dorian is one of the better one of old characters redesigned with this art-style. Like Morrigan should take the cakes as the worst one but Dorian is fine imo
@@r.e.z9428it's referring to a 4 min cutscene of Isabella talking about a tradition the lords have instead of saying sorry they do push ups, so they got mad because they thought it was torture for misgendering someone, they completely forgot to mention they also did it for eating someone else's cheese tho
@@DannyRayqu Oh no, you must have misread, I’m talking about @Dragonage2ftw. He called the guy alt-right for referring to that cringe ass scene. How does criticism of a badly written scene equate to Alt-right? Thats brainrotted bot behavior to even try to connect the two.
@@r.e.z9428 because it didn't even have anything to do with the with the misgendering, and it was a 5 mins scene related to the story of the lords of fortune, wasn't like 4 push ups and Isabella said it was about not saying Sorry but showing you are Sorry?
You know, Dorian being a Necromancer was such an afterthought in Inquisition, I’m glad it actually gets brought up here.
I wouldn’t say an afterthought - it comes up quite a bit in his conversations with Cole and Solas. But yes, his personal quest is unrelated to this.
Well that explains how he got into the field. Learned from the best. Love those two.
@@Dragonage2ftw I like the tie in explaining why he can't use higher necromantic magic and only use wisp as he was only taught the basics
I love the fact that Emmrich was Dorian's professor. Dorian is an incredibly talented necromancer and it makes sense that he learned from the best.
Anyone else wish Dorian could have been a companion again? Imagine the all the delightful banter between him and the new crew!
He and Harding would have been so great
I know some people dislike the redesign but its not really a redesign since its based off the ending of dai,he look exactly like thst mullet and all.
Of course I was going to fall for ANOTHER necromancer😭❤

Veilguard revealing that Cassandra was a boring normie by Nevarran standards make her hilarious in restrospective.

What is with the Hawkeye haircuts in this game. It's so jarring because no one was rocking this hairstyle in previous games and now everyone has it.
Everyone? Who else has it? It’s the haircut Dorian is shown to have in the trespasser epilogue drawings, so I wouldn’t call it “jarring.”
@@BBS-dl1lt yes that is a nice detail, but in this game also Solas has that hairstyle.
@@rrmerlan it’s similar. Solas’s hair is much longer. I also wouldn’t call 2 characters “everyone.”
Solas has it too and I see a lot of rook characters with it. The female version is that Rihanna haircut that I keep seeing the female characters with.
Which Rihanna haircut?
Wait so how old is Emmrich???? Dorian is in his late fifties in DAV 😅

Lol, looks nothing like Dorian from Inquisition.
Then should try open eyes
@@Blast_S_rank_1 Hows the refunds going?
@@Blast_S_rank_1 mastery is correct. They didn't even bother to give Dorian his signature mustache...and you never mess with a man's mustache.
