- No matter what influences the world around you, always be sure that you are being not influenced, or peer pressured, but inspired. There is not one moment in your life that you need to feel like you need to be something you're not, look like something you are not, or be someone you are not, due to trends or what you see around you. Everyone grows as a person, and everyone will change. Make sure that as you evolve as a person, you evolve as yourself, not someone else.

Thank you guys so much for watching. This video came right out of my heart. Knowing what it's like to be bullied (badly), I understand what it's like to feel like being yourself can feel "wrong." I hope this video lets you inside of my mind, inside of my heart, and can help you visualize the struggle people can go through when they are pressured. Never in your life do you EVER have to be someone you are not. Life will influence you in MANY ways, at ALL ages. Make sure that you are not influenced, or peer pressured, but INSPIRED by what you see around you. Don't ever lose yourself in this crazy world. As you evolve, and go through changes in your life, please always promise me you will evolve as yourself, and not ever into someone else.
Hi Lex, I'm 49 years old and was terribly bullied majority of my school life. As a result, I wound up with PTSD, have attempted suicide several times, I was a cutter, and addiction and depression took over my life. It took me a very long time to sort through the pieces of my heart and finally love the woman in the mirror. I wish I could reach out to the victims of bullying so I could tell them that they're never alone in their pain. And that what others may say to hurt them that they need to look into the mirror and tell themselves "I love you." Loving oneself is half the battle. Bless you, Lexi, and thank you for this wonderful video. 👍🏻

I love this so much. I'm so sick of everyone buying into this fake crap, this fabricated thing that is now considered beauty. And if you don't do it, you aren't as attractive or "putting people down" if you disagree. Everyone wants the big lips, drag queen brow, contoured cheeks. Why on earth would anyone want to look like everyone else!? I pray to God we can finally reach a point to where people embrace what they that makes them UNIQUE and focus their effort on working on their inner selves so the beauty within them can shine.
This spoke to me on such a personal level. For all our lives we are told how to look, how to dress, how we should look like the girls in the magazines. You must be flawless, wear makeup or you will never be beautiful. It leaves most of girls with a feeling of self consciousness questioning ourselves. And not loving ourselves for who we are. "I must look perfect", But that shouldn't be how it is, love yourself, find your own style, weather you decide to wear make up or not is your choice. I don't believe its right to be told "you have to to look a certain way to be perfect' we aren't puppets!! . But how you executed this was just amazing!!

I've never really been bullied for not having nice lips but I have felt self conscious about how small my lips are. about my "manly" looking jawline. it's truly a shame that people are so fake in the sense that they lose themselves. online beauty sometimes is impossible to achieve because half of it is fake.
This speaks to me in a way I can't fully describe. I've spent my whole life trying to be someone else, never feeling like who I was was good enough, and since the rise of social media and joining a sorority, those feelings have escalated. Don't get me wrong, I love my sisters, but constantly being surrounded by people I perceive as prettier and more worthy of attention than myself can get draining. Thank you for this, I feel less alone now.
Fantastic video and a wonderful message. Be true to who you are and don't change yourself to fit in. I'm 36 and I still struggle with this. I'm slowly learning to be comfortable in my own skin and even tho I'm not 100% thrilled with what I see in the mirror, if I can look at myself and say "I'm okay with this," then that is a step in the right direction and will help me learn to rock everything about myself. For example, I actually went out and bought a bikini the other day. I haven't worn a bikini since I was a teenager and never thought I'd ever wear one again, but I found a style that suits my style and I feel okay wearing. I've always has self confidence, self worth, and body issues and even tho I struggle to this day, I will never give up!

This video has a very strong and clear message. I am almost speechless. These are my thoughts. This video is needed in a world like this, where people can be easily influenced by all the wrong things, when it comes to being happy with ones self in life. Yes I do want to look and feel better but why must my body be a certain way, my hair, my skin, my clothes, car I drive, etc to be considered "having a happy life" in another person's eyes. I saw this video and felt exactly the way I been feeling lately. Be happy with you, love yourself, and love your imperfections. Things you do for your self is because you love your self. Not because I feel so crappy about my self that if I do this it will make me happy. Sorry if I'm rambling on it's been a long day and I'm about to go to sleep, good night :)

that was so powerful. i loved it because all of it is artistic and true. being a bit overweight and very self conscious its hard to look at the media and see what society finds as the perfect woman and with whats classified as beauty changing every couple of months ik other feel the same. Its taken me a long time to show myself that i have self worth and just because I'm not skinny or have the ideal body type does not mean I'm not beautiful. showing that being unique and not really fitting into the cookie cutter mold is something that i hope other look up to as well.

I've always been the oddball in my family. When I was younger I wasn't afraid to just be me, but as I got older and more and more people (including my family) told me I was wrong, I started to hide away and pretend I was something I wasn't. During my most formative years, I was torn between wanting to be accepted, and wanting to break out of what felt like a societal straight jacket. I am now 24 years old and just barely understanding who I am as a person because of the damage those expectations inflicted on my mind. This video is so simplistic and straight forward, but it almost brought me to tears from its accuracy. Thank you, Lex. In the purest definition of the word, you are truly a beautiful soul.

Not to be cheeseey but shes beautiful and gorgeous just from herself and all that makeup and contouring makes her shaped by other people and not by herself and its not just woman that are going through this its also men, I know its sound like were supposed to be buff and fit chilled chins with long hair and a thin body so its not men have it easy both sex are dealing with the same problem with media and perfecting other sex.

Speechless and yet heard a thousand words!
I always feel like I'm less than others or I'm not good enough to be like them. I feel like will never be skinny enough or pretty enough to be with the popular girls. Your videos help me realize that I don't have to be a size 0 and have flawless skin to be beautiful, but being my own person is the most beautiful thing of all. Yes I want to be skinny, but I'm never gonna have the smallest waist, and that's ok. I will always have moments where I feel like I can't do the things that they do, but why would I want to? No one wants to be plastic. But then I have moments where I just feel like I can do anything, those are the best moments of my life because I feel confident, and that doesn't happen very often. Be unique and be yourself, don't let society bring you down because you can do anything, and if someone has an issue with you being who you are, then that's their problem and they can figure it out on their own. Thank you lex, for giving me confidence in who I am, you're amazing ❤️
