I get SOOO many hate comments saying I'm horrible at makeup and that I'm ugly; they tell me I should quit TH-cam because I'll "never be famous". However, I never started TH-cam in order to be famous. I did it so I can inspire people, even if I only inspire one person. I don't care about a subscriber number, and I'll be positive on my channel no matter what. You're so right about the bad attitude on the internet thing. I remember when I first started using the internet regularly, people weren't as bad as they are now. It's like people feel compelled to be mean and rude to eachother. I will never understand it.
That's why I follow you on YT and IG. Girl, you're an AMAZING human being and I love you to bits and pieces. You're the ONLY youtuber I've followed that broke the one million subscribers and never forgot how to be humble and kind; I've seen at least four others that somewhere along the road became snobbish, entitled and/or downright MEAN to other youtubers and followers. Even though some of them are very talented, I just can't justify giving them my time for them to monetise it. They're doing awful things and they're supporting the wrong people and they're teaching their followers - many of whom are very gullible - the wrong shit. Can't support that shit in the year of our Lord of 2015, let alone 2016, that is soooo close. I am actually working on a campaign in my high school to make people more aware of cyber bullying(bc people just say "its the internet") and legit verbal bullying ("oh that doesn't happen anymore"). And also you are absolutely amazing and I actually started looking for makeup artists in my town that I could work for because you made makeup seem like an actual career choice as opposed to teachers in school who only promote law, science, business, etc.

I totally agree with the message you're sending in this video. I see a LOT of people commenting on TH-cam and Instagram saying the cruelest things and I'm always so taken aback by them. I'm kinda a silent IG,YTuber follower for so many people and I just enjoy the videos and pictures that post..it's rare that I'd step in to comment to other commenters because I try to just stay in my own little happy place and I'll comment about how I love their videos or ask them specific questions about where I could find something they were talking about because I was interested in it...other than that I'm quiet lol people really need to stop being so damned mean. Like the saying goes "if you don't have something nice to say shut the hell up" lmao
When people are being nasty I usually just ignore it, they're doing it for attention. If their world is so small that they feel good attacking others, well the block/report button is only 2 clicks away.
The biggest problem with the internet, is that it dehumanises us. We are no longer actual people with feeling and emotions, we just become a username and an online profile. It's very easy to be vicious to something that isn't perceived as an actual person. It makes me sad, but I hope people can start to realise that there are actual people behind those usernames and think twice before being hateful just because they think it's cool or makes them a badass

I 100% agree with everything you said in this video! The Internet is turning into a horrible place and blaming 'the Internet' for something that someone said shouldn't be a justifiable reason as to why they said it, you wouldn't say that to that person of they were standing right in front of you. People need to be nicer to everyone whether it's on the Internet or off.

The hate, the mean comments and people just not noticing that at the other end of that negativity a person is reading and receiving all of it. Yes! I completely agree, the thing is with the internet is that the people who say this sort of negative stuff don't realise the consequences of their actions, I tell them to keep this in mind: You might be cool on the internet, but no one is going to remember you in the long run mate.
