- ❤️DON'T TRUST THE MEDIA... Tabriz, Iran is full of wonderful people who LOVE AMERICA and welcome you to visit the "Cradle of Civilization"! bit.ly/3BqGnIz (Full Iran series)
DANCING in public is ILLEGAL in Iran. But during Ramadan on my 2024 trip to Tabriz, in El Goli Park on Eid I found a crowd of men dancing in public! I wasn't sure what to do but soon I was pulled into the action by Tabrizi men.
I also learned that if you have a DOG in public in Iran, you do so at the risk of confiscation!? It doesn''t happen all the time, but it's happened for sure. In Shahgoli Park I interviewed a man with a dog who did not seem too worried.
The park was first named Shah Goli (Shah Gölü), the "Royal Lake" or the "Royal Pond". After the Islamic Revolution of 1979, the park and the surrounding were renamed as El Gölü, "lake of the people".
Tabriz is Iran's 4th largest city and is the capital of the Azerbaijan region of the north. The city is famous for its handicrafts, including hand-woven rugs and jewelry. Local confectionery, chocolate, dried nuts and traditional Tabrizi food are recognized throughout Iran as awesome. Some of the best cultural institutions in northwest Iran are located in Tabriz, which is also a center for intellectual activity.
The city is landlocked, but believe it or not, here I had the BEST SALMON of my trip! Iranian (Persian) food is so delicious!
I spent 24 DAYS IN IRAN and am SO excited to show you just how different the country is from what you might see on television and the news.

رقصیدن در ملاء عام در ایران غیرقانونی است. اما در ماه رمضان در سفر سال 2024م به تبریز، در پارک ال گلی در عید مبارک، انبوهی از مردان را دیدم که در ملاء عام می رقصیدند! مطمئن نبودم چه کنم اما خیلی زود توسط مردان تبریزی وارد عمل شدم.
همچنین متوجه شدم که در بیشتر موارد، داشتن سگ در ملاء عام در ایران نیز غیرقانونی است و شما این کار را با خطر مصادره انجام می دهید! در پارک شاهگلی مردی با سگی مصاحبه کرد که چندان نگران به نظر نمی رسید.
این پارک ابتدا شاه گلی (شاه گولو)، "دریاچه سلطنتی" یا "برکه سلطنتی" نام گرفت. پس از انقلاب اسلامی در سال 1979، پارک و اطراف آن به ال گولو، «دریاچه مردم» تغییر نام داد.
تبریز چهارمین شهر بزرگ ایران و پایتخت منطقه آذربایجان در شمال است. این شهر به خاطر صنایع دستی از جمله قالیچه های دستبافت و جواهرات معروف است. شیرینی های محلی، شکلات، خشکبار و غذاهای سنتی تبریزی در سرتاسر ایران به عنوان یکی از بهترین ها شناخته می شوند. برخی از بهترین مؤسسات فرهنگی شمال غرب ایران در تبریز قرار دارند که مرکز فعالیت های فکری نیز می باشد.
شهر محصور در خشکی است، اما باور کنید یا نه، اینجا من بهترین ماهی آزاد سفرم را داشتم! غذاهای ایرانی (فارسی) خیلی خوشمزه است!
به رسانه ها اعتماد نکنید... ایران پر از مردم شگفت انگیزی است که عاشق آمریکا هستند و از شما برای بازدید از "گهواره تمدن" استقبال می کنند!
