My girlfriend is Persian and I've been going through many videos to learn more about her home. I really appreciate videos like this because, as we surely all know, this country gets a bad reputation due to the typical media coverage in western countries(at least here in Canada) and it's a shame. The people, culture and architecture are beautiful, the food is absolutely delicious, and I hope to visit there one day myself. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Drew, you're my favorite TH-camr at the moment and I enjoy all of your videos, keep doing what you do, man! From Russia with love
Due to political issues, the media try to portray Iran in a way that it does not represent, but we Iranians never hate any country and every tourist from any country is respectable and proud for us.

--- The huge Left-Centrist Western News-Media that continually rages about LGBTQ rights in Western Nations, does NOT like to tell how Iran publically persecutes and sometimes publically executes LGBTQ people in the streets of Iran to little or no public opposition.......... homosexuality is considered a sin in Islam, and it says so in the Quran........ much to the chagrin of Western Left-Centrist LGBTQ and pro-Islam activists.........
Russia is exactly what you see on news, they're no one's bestie or friend tbh, they're always looking for a way to manipulate every country around them, they're not even their own race and people's friend, look what they did to ukraine, they're also manipulating iran and making us persians more poor.

Hello, Iranian viewer here, i'm very glad you visited Tabriz, it's my hometown! And I'm much happier that you've had such a pleasant time in there, I hope the rest of your trip will be just as great and safe travels.
Iran is one of the countries I would love to visit but as a bahai and because of historical and ongoing events I would be extremely anxious about going. This is why I enjoy these videos so much, I get to experience some of this beautiful country. God bless Iran and God bless the Iranian people.
You can go to Iran as a Baha'i it's not a problem. The regime has said vocal things against the faith in the past, but for the most part they leave people alone with it. There are plenty of Bahais living peacefully in Iran. And yes, the Babi & Baha'i faiths are of Iranian origin. They were failed reformed movements.
No one would consider their religion a failed reform movement. Anyway it's nice to hear from a non Bahai that bahais are welcome to visit Iran even if the government is less than approving to put it mildly.
@@cruzianfibergeek I agree, but I'm a non Baha'i as you said so I have that working against me. Hopefully when most of the population inside Iran reverts back to other religions, like Zoroastrianism like Christianity as we'd been seeing in recent years, the system will inevitably and organically change. And much more religious freedom as a result.
Only visited Iran once back in 2010 for work, but I absolutely loved it there. Great people and awesome food, and the scenery is just spectacular when you come from a flat country in Europe 😉

My parents lived in Iran before the regime change in the 1970s. I have a beautiful silk rug that my parents bought at a market in the 70s, and a few others that I have purchased from traders at home subsequently. Seeeing as all you Centrist-Liberals like Drew love LGBTQ's so much as well as these "warm and loving" Iranians, tell the World how Gays are treated in Iran, and in nearly every Muslim Country............
@@evolutiontellsthetruth7812 Ik. You can still be lesbian in Turkmenistan, transgender in Jordan but even then it's not really advisable if you are LGBTQ+ to travel to the Middle East (Israel is an exception) since most won't support AND there are anti-gay laws. Racial prejudice is also common - if you're Jewish then don't be surprised if people there hate you, but as Drew showed you don't be surprised if people welcome you. When travelling, everyone needs to take some of their own precautions.
My friend, there is no bloodshed in Iran. What is shown in the media about Iran is completely false. Iran is one of the safest countries in the world, and Iran's neighboring countries, such as Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq, are insecure, and this issue has nothing to do with the safe and civilized country of Iran and causes all These problems are in the neighboring countries of Iran, America and Israel, with unnecessary interventions and to loot the natural resources and oil and gas of these countries.

Hey, Drew! If you’re reading this, I just wanted to tell you that I’m a huge fan of your content. Geography and travelling has been my top interests since I was 5 years old. Even though I may not be able to travel to every country, I am definitely fascinated by the diversity of cultures, religions, food, and other interesting facts about every part of the world. Keep it up, your content is awesome! Thank you for sharing your travel experiences with us! ❤️

wow Iran is beatiful! A shame the media tries to tarnish it's image, it would be a dream to travel here one day!
The media reports on Iran's terrorist regime, as they should. Or maybe you support the islamists ruling in Iran, killing its own citizens?
Due to political issues, the media try to portray Iran in a way that it does not represent, but we Iranians never hate any country and every tourist from any country is respectable and proud for us.

I feel like Iran and Russia are so different to what we see and hear in the news. These videos are a nice new perspective and help understanding a country or a culture better even if you cannot travel to each and every place on earth. Thank you Drew.
Russia sucks though.
You're right but Russia and Iran are very very different countries to compare. Well on West media there's no any information about lots of countries.
i hope you visit iran as soon as possibl

Dont worry . There are many bahai here in Iran and they live peacefully
Isn't baha'i originated from iran.

Seeeing as all you Centrist-Liberals like Drew love LGBTQ's so much as well as these "warm and loving" Iranians, tell the World how Gays are treated in Iran, and in nearly every Muslim Country............
I hope you visit Iran one day 😍
@@evolutiontellsthetruth7812 Ik.
Not friendly to g a y people… they literally are condemned to death there for being themselves
