14:27 alot of people slip past this but when pitou’s en and zeno’s dragon en come into contact and they show pitou’s looking creepy and zoldyeck looking ready to fight thats what the aura is telling them about each other. Its so cool that they added that into the scene
Episode 110 through the conclusion of the Chimera Ant Arc is the best stretch of anime ever imo. Just non-stop action, character development, amazing plot, emotions. It's incredible.
This arc personifies the term "Suicide squad"
They split up to 3 groups and every group was assigned to focus on royal guards aside from netero and zeno coz the two old man was assigned to the king. Their mission was not to win every single battle but to separate the royal guards from the king and at least by any chance Netero find a way to win against the king.
Episode 111 is such a beautiful episode in all aspects
Kimchi's energy is literally the best reaction I've seen to HxH. And i TOTALLY get him. I've read and seen HxH so many times, but every single time I witness the palace invasion, I can't help myself but to gape in awe. All praise Togashi.

It's the most serious offender in the whole show when it comes to slow pacing, but its a lot happening at once
@@ssj4rit Lmao thats not what pacing means you absolute dunce, pacing is a part of story telling, not tv animation. Facial expressions have nothing to do with it, showing one shot for too long isnt a pacing issue, its about how the story itself is written. And btw, there SO much recap in the next few episodes, 10-15% of each episode is repeated scenes or narration. After the first 3-5 EPISODES of this part, the narrator says that only 10 minutes has passed.
Does it need to be slowed down and explored? Yes. Does it need to move as slowly as it DID? not at all. no show is perfect, and all i said was that it could've been done a bit more condensed, not that none of it was needed

Pacing, by definition, is an element of story writing, NOT film direction. I do understand the difference, and I didn't say that the pace was completely unjustified, just that there's too much recap in each of the episodes, which compounds on the already slowed pace, making it feel even slower.
So yes, you are fanboying so hard you don't even understand that you can have a slow pace in a story for a good reason, and still not execute it perfectly. Just because the story needed to be slowed down here, doesn't mean it was done perfectly in the SECOND TV ADAPTATION that the actual story got. So yes, you do look like an idiot. The 2011 anime is NOT THE ORIGINAL STORY. Any decisions made by the studio who adapted it, CAN NOT BE CALLED PACING DECISIONS, the original author made those choices. The direction of the show compounds them.

Please always keep this in mind. Pitou's Terpsichora spent just less than a tenth of a second after activation to launch the attack. So, now imagine how fast Netero's attack per hour is. It's A LOT faster than when he was younger. So, his Nen ability still in his prime, just only his physical strenght that dropped through the time.
You guys are in for one hell of an emotional roller-coaster during the coming 15 to 20 episodes....

The thing about this arc is that everything is happening at the same time, Netero and Zeno, The King and Komugi, Pitou, Pouf, Everyone vs Youpi and no one is talking, everyone is thinking and the narrator make it so damn exciting! So much happening in a minute!
This is why it’s my top anime. What another anime gives you this feeling. Fear of what’s going to happen and excitement. All chips on the line.

Neferpitou's attack when she activated Terpsichora needed just a tenth of a second to land. Netero's movements have finished withing that one tenth of a second. That means his movements were extremely fast, but I clicked on this video even faster :P

Episode 111 is one of my fav episodes of the entire series. I get chills Every Time I watch it, and I've watched it a lot.
Edit: also Tofu it took Netero four years to get to the point of doing the punches in under an hour. It took two years for him to notice a difference, that being that the sun was still up when he finished for the day. He was 46 when he realized the answer (gratitude) and 50 when he completed his metamorphosis.
Also Netero is naturally an Enhancer like Gon, though I'm pretty sure he is a very rare example of an Enhancer becoming a Specialist later in life (that's my theory/headcanon anyways lmao)

Mr Hades You watched the arc like I did and the narrator becomes annoying af and narrates almost every thought or move so don’t tell me to shut up. There’s an instance in a few episodes with Pitou just saying truth (not gonna go into detail because spoilers) and the narrator is narrating that. There’s no possible plot hole that can be made from that. And if the viewers don’t understand something, then tough shit. Let them use their brain to think about it more or rewatch episodes and you’ll get the answer. You don’t need the answers to everything spoon fed to you

The 10,000 punches in 1 hour wasn't the result of 2 years of training, but rather of 4 years. The "metamorphosis" was stated to have happened when he was 50. He started doing the punches of gratitude at age 46.

Netero trained for more than 2 years. He started in the mountains at 46 and at 50 made his metamorphosis. It took 2 years for him to start noticing a difference so after that he trained 2 more years until metamorphosis.
