Gon didn’t really lose anything though he was healed to full by magic genie. He can’t use nen now but if manga wasn’t on hiatus he would have gotten it back by now

When was Pitou smiling evily?
Gon could never beat Pitou in his current level, she is way beyond for that. She is arguably the third strongest fighter in the arc after Netero and Meruem. Netero himself complimented her strength.
Basically what gon did was same what kurapika did a Vow & Limitation and a mix of bisky's skill but like how you saw gon took it to the extreme dangerous level
Gon did it by sacrificing 3 things:
> He sacrificed all of his future potential and talent
> He would never be able to use nen again
> And finally in a way almost sacrificing his life
the main principle behind gons strength is basically attaining all the strength and potential he could harness in the future in a instant in the present by sacrificing his life and future, that transformation is basically Gon's full potential.
That is gon's future if he would have trained and honed his skill and potential to the utmost limit.
Throughout the series it has been shown how much skilled Gon is and how much talent he holds himself even at a young age and the viewers can imagine how amazing he would be in the future.
That's why its both upsetting and kind of mind blowing seeing this transformation of his

Also Gon grew into an adult is because his little body couldn't handle all of the aura/power so it forced his body to mature. Kind a Similar to what Bisky does as shown, but really in a extreme manner.
Another thing is not anyone can do a Vow and limitation like gon did to become that powerful, it was only possible for gon to achieve that strength due to his bottomless potential
Gon can get stronger. Pitou said that he matured his body to a point at which he would be able to beat her. Its just speculation, but always cool to know that he could get far stronger if this wasn't his prime.
Yeah, I think he only matured to the point to beat Pitou. That's not even his ceiling yet.

One thing to point out is that Gon's forced himself to attain all the strength and potential in the next few decade or two. that explains the long hair and buffed body. it is as he stopped time and trained for years and years.
Of course nobody can do like Gon, it's his own enhancer ability to create with much worse conditions than Kurapika's.
It's ironic because Killua warned him not to do the same thing as Kurapika in Arc Yorkshin, but he did. Killua is the only one who is very powerful without needing conditions that risk his own life.
And it is clearly Gon prime, it is his power that he would have obtained after decades of training as difficult as that of Netero, it is clearly the pinnacle of his strength

Honestly, if he sacrificed everything his power should be even stronger. In the last arc of the manga there is hints of Gon lineage, he might not even be human. We know that his grandfather or one of his great grandfathers is the strongest human being in history and is the one who made it possible for humanity to go the dark continent, there is also hints that Gon was brought by Ging from the dark continent and that his mother might be from there. You also notice that even after Gon was on the verge of death his dad wasnt worried the slightest maybe because he knew something about Gon that guaranteed him healing even without help. Mureum comes from a weak species from the dark continent and was just born less than 3 months, Gon potential should be way stronger than him so if he gave up everything he should be able to easily take him out easily.
@@aymensoltani2817 those are incredible things but its not hinted anywhere in the manga, tha manga put it clear: "Gin is a terrible father". Maybe his philosophy its more like if he is not able to do something then he is not worthy. I don´t know but being Gin one of the most mysterious characters it's possible that he knows something about Nanika (whose power maybe has origins in the dark continent). If i´m not wrong at the manga its the first attempt for Gin of going to the dark continent. I remember someone saying that Gon and Killua had a talent of 1 on a 10 million people, maybe after this arc its more even more, in my opinion for example Gon maybe is more talented than Killua that has a powerbase far superior than Gon but his ancestors are not on the level of Meruem. I hope that HxH comes back and resolve some of this things, at least whose gon's mother, there is a one-shot with Kurapica that puts a Hunter that discovered the massacre, a youtube just gave a random idea about her being the mother of Gon just because its maybe and interesting character with no other relevance until now.

The association has had a copy of East and it was thanks to this book that they managed to go to the dark continent and come back alive, it contained an introduction to the 5 great calamities (Nanika included) and their effects which gave incentive to the 5 big countries and the association to brave the risk to go there. West has not been seen. Ging claimed that is because Don is still writing West, and thus is still alive and roaming the dark continent. East was written 300 years ago so this makes him the oldest human alive, he also seems to have a ties with the gatekeepers which is a race that guards the border of the human world and the dark continent and without their permission access to the dark continent is impossible.

Nanika is not confirmed as a calamity, being related to the five or a new one. My idea was more like some of the things that you put are speculations but some of them with no basis on the manga, I don't if there is another source or databook.

A major point to be noted is that Gon wasn't at Meruem's level, it was actually a mistranslation in the anime. In the manga it just says he might be able to hurt the King.
The whole pitou coming back to life thing. In the yorknew arc when Gon,killua run into the phantom troupe at the auction they mentioned one of the reasons they are not gonna kill kurapika is because Nen doesn't disappear after death and in some cases if the person's Emotions,feelings or hatred is really strong before they die, their nen directs itself towards the targeted person. Pitous loyalty towards the king and devotion for protecting him made her nen even stronger and it activated terpsichora to control her lifeless body.

In all the reactions and all the forums I've been to I haven't seen a single person recognizing one fact about the chimera ants, they are newborn children. Regardless of their form or power they are only a few months old at best and are acting almost entirely on instinct as would a Lion or bear and yet nobody seems to realize or appreciate this and I see so many people reacting with such resentment for the Ants especially Pitou when the life they have led and their eventual deaths are nothing short of tragic. Children without guidance torn between powerful instincts and a developing sense of self, surely I am not the only one who realizes this right?

These episodes always make me sad. Gon lost his innocence and became more monstrous, while Pitou and the rest of the ants started off as heartless and evil and slowly became more human, only for Gon to kill Pitou.

I might be the only one to feel this way, but i was seriously sorry for pitou's death. They, as well as the other chimera ants, did not know the difference between good and evil: they were just acting guided by their instinct. And through the entire arc they learnt and developed a sense of conscience, as we have seen later with meruem and bloster. Pitou followed meruem's orders till the end because they were still in the process of understanding. They were getting more "human", but couldn't complete the process because they had to surrender to the overwhelming power of a man who turned into a "monster".

i don't think pitou hated gon. more like she saw him a potential threat to the king and as we have seen, pitou was extremely loyal to meruem, more so than any of the other guards.
