    I’m rocking this V3 for some time now, and still it has this same initial feeling that it is built to last. But best part is availability of spare parts 👍🏻 thanks Josh

      We will ALWAYS have spare parts, I still even have parts for old V1's and V2's - People love products that have parts available that aren't over priced. I try to price everything as cheap as possible for a reason :). Thanks for supporting this small business. I love what it's become and I truly enjoy making customers happy like you and so many others! Thanks again, -Josh

    I love this knife. I unfortunately lost my first one after 2 years of edc, and immediately ordered another one. Couldn't be happier! Keep up the good work.

      I love mine. By far the best way to have a razor knife as part of your edc. I used to carry a milwaukee fastback, which is fine but way less cool.

      @@aaronmaurer6874I love mine, it carries so much better than a huge Milwaukee knife. I love how smooth the operation is, and how deep it carries in your pocket. Plus it looks cool too, rugged enough for the jobsite M-F, classy enough for church on Sunday.

    I use mine for leather work. Best part is the blade doesn’t wiggle, which after a bunch of reviews watched…no one seems to mention. Got the v3 all black with the “rock face” cf scale. And I do strop the blade

    Thank you for this video. The benefit in your video is that you comment on the details and real world situations that a "normal" guy sitting at desk might encounter. Like maybe a different sized bit might work, sanding down the end of the bit, plainly showing the components, showing alternatives, making a point about important parts and acknowledging when it is not critical.
    For a great example when you put the main blade bearing screw back in, you clearing described how it would feel when too tight. Using your description, I was able to feel it and slowly back off until I felt it was correct. Also seeing you use the torch showed me how that is done as I have never done that before and probably would have fried and egg on the knife and burned myself! haha.
    Sorry for the long message. I just wanted to say thank you.
    My pocket clip had come loose and I needed this great video. Though maybe future versions of the knife could have the pocket clip screw on the outside.

    Actions can change if the washers aren’t put back worn in side up but they’ll wear in again . The spydercos are super finicky if the washers don’t go back exact but it don’t matter as long as it goes back . Good vid

    It's great, I have 1 of you and I was impressed that it doesn't have a shield next to the closing of the blade, although you can't touch it but it's better to be safe, I would like it to be implemented in the next version 😅, greetings.

    The future model needs a captive pivot if possible.

    • @exceeddesigns
      @exceeddesigns  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a square bolt captive screw, but… I have too many CNC’d parts I need to use first. But I do think we could do this as soon as possible!

    There was so much damn loctite on mine that when I went to disassemble it to replace the clip screws that fell out I ended up stripping out the rear screws. Now I really cant get it open and have no pocket clip.

  • @Phiz787
    @Phiz787 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yuck. Way too many complications in disassembly.
    Using a captive sexbolt fixes the need for a locking wrench+secondary hex bit.
    Spyderco used Loctite red. Ask anyone who services their own knife how they felt about that...
    People are going to use whatever they have on hand to service their parts. Or they're not going to do it at all. The more conditions you put on your maintenance DIY process, the less its going to happen properly. John Grimsmo solved that with a captive pivot, and a provided Bondhus Torx bit (that works on every screw on the Rask).
    I love my TiRant. I have the V2. Still use it. Glad to see continued refinement!

      Hopefully we’ll continue to improve! I won’t stop with “OK” I’m constantly trying to make things better and better as fast as I can while still
      Providing people with a good product. It hasn’t been easy, but the V3 is by far the best so far… at least the pivot is not captive! Now for the rear spacer screw next!

    • @Phiz787
      @Phiz787 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@exceeddesigns I believe it. First you have to compromise to get the product out. Now you're doing well and production is moving along. I bet v4 or v5 will be able to incorporate more in-house hardware.
      Keep it up!

      This video is clearly for novices - people who've haven't worked on a bunch of pocket knives, or who are upgrading from a Stanley boxcutter lol. Most people who have maintained a few knives will be able to handle the free-spinning rear screws just fine.
      That being said tho ..... (see next comment)

    • @Rushil69420

      @@exceeddesigns They’re totally right about the Loctite lol. Not sure if you tried out purple threadlocker before going with the blue but it doesn’t require any heat and in my experience it’s definitely strong enough to keep small screws from loosening and backing out. It’s especially useful for small fasteners that are likely to strip with too much force (like T6-T8 !). **And no torch means nobody accidentally flame anodizes a part or burns their DLC finish.**
      You sell a lot of accessories so for any orders where people get things like clips, scales, spacers etc. (and they don’t ask for assembly*) I think it’s safe to assume they’ll be opening it up right after getting it and you can forego the Loctite altogether.
      If you really believe they should be secured with loctite, the *coolest* thing would be to include a small 0.03 or 0.06oz individual tube/packet of threadlocker so people can apply it themselves (you already include a whole slew of spare screws so I don’t think it’s unreasonable or ‘lazy’ from the consumers POV either). They’re less than $1/ea in bulk and would probably save you a bit of assembly time too.
