    I work heavy construction and I use this knife everyday and love it! Never had a issue with it, before I carried a fastback but hated the bulk of it and just the look I like nicer knives, this has the look and feel of an expensive nice knife but it's also tough and has the huge benefit of being a utility blade, also an awesome company to work with, I can't recommend this enough!!

    I've been through more pocket utility knives than I can count. This is the best one hands down! I unfortunately cover this thing in mud, salt brine and plenty of other things; I blow it out really well about once a month and add a touch off tool oil and it just keeps going flawlessly! I'm thinking about buying a couple more for when I lose them.

    This is hands down the best modern perfectly executed utility knife. I’ve tried them all and there is none better than this to date. Pricey yes…but you’ll receive a lifetime knife. I’ve also searched blades over the years…you have so many options as there are rugged blades, and then slicer blades. I can’t tell you how many times I refused to use a good pocket knife for a dirty job as I don’t want to damage an expensive pocket knife blade then spend the next hour fixing a chip or damaged blade. If you like a nice pocket knife this is the only razor knife option with guts and good ergonomics.

    At first blush, I thought no, I'm not going to spend $85 for a razor knife, but then I thought, well you get a lot of extra parts, blades, etc. and have the ability to change the scales and now, I think I would buy this. I have a lot of razor blades, so a nice premium one, would be a nice addition to the group. Maxlvledc, I think a video of you disassembling this, changing scales, etc., would be a nice video to make.

    • @SatanasExMachina
      @SatanasExMachina ปีที่แล้ว

      Just so you know, looked at the site and you have to pay extra for a few of the parts in this kit. Prybar spacer, carbon fiber scales and short pocket clip do not come with this set unless you spend more for them. That being said they have a number of colors and configurations pre-constructed, and its still a very nice utility knife. Will be buying one.

    • @exceeddesigns
      @exceeddesigns ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SatanasExMachina Just saw this video, thought I would clarify. All knives come with free hardware + blades. However the extras like the pry-bar can be purchased separately. We are one of the only knives out there that include 1 piece of hardware for every piece of the knife. Also, with this being said, having an extra screw set on hand in addition to the included one isn't a bad idea, but we don't want to make people feel like they need to pay extra. Also, just so everyone knows, it's expensive, but the cost to make this out of titanium is not very cheap and we have not skimped on anything to ensure the best experience, including brass+ceramic bearings standard on all V3's shipping out. We are also upgrading orders due to lead times to a ceramic detent ball which is even nicer than this model seen reviewed. We love the product and please do reach out if you have any questions or suggestions on our website. Many of the comments I received in the last batch are not changes that you see in this V3, so it is almost like a community project, because I value everyones opinions.

  • @danieljennagrouse

    There's part of me that wants this because cool shiny things. But ultimately I get 99% of the same functionality in the Gerber EAB and I appreciate that one being so cheap I don't have to be much more precious about the handle than I am about the blades. If I do something silly with it, lose it, or have to chuck it because it's not allowed somewhere, I'm gonna be sad and annoyed, but getting a replacement one is cheap and easy. The whole tool doesn't cost that much more than a pack of nice replacement blades and I consider that a big plus considering the use case. Also it still offers full grip while being smaller than this. And I keep repeating these things to myself so that I don't buy a Tirant anyway.

    ive been thinking about getting one of these for a while now, it kinda sucks that theres not really that many knife companies that try to compete with the milwuakee fastback because you know they can easily make a knife thats high quality that takes standard utility blades. most of the "edc" utility knives are more pocket junk and for the keychain jangles than they are for actual work, this is one of the few that have promise

So I will carry it only when off the job. I will be looking at the scales. Also nice. A vid of disassemble and reassemble will be nice. I made no pivot adjustments with mine and it now called shut from almost the open position. Very nice. Thanks Maxlvledc for all your great reviews!

    I ordered a V3 from USA to Australia 🤣
    Action is nice. Added a drop of pivot lube on the locking mechanism.
    Not much wiggle in the blade or holder.
    It is tricky to install a blade to be honest.
    It's a tad short for my hand so I keep grabbing a Milwaukee Fastback to knock around. 😅
    Nice EDC size though 👍

  • @MINDL3SS
    @MINDL3SS ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't know how much this costs but with titanium in the name I'd guess in not cheap at all range.
    But it's kind of funny you posted this because just a couple weeks ago I bought a Cresent compact 1 blade folding utility knife from Lowes and I have been in love with carrying it. I just pop it in the "change" pocket of my jeans. The best thing about it is the ergonomics of it. Feels good in the hand and has a nice solid shelf for your thumb to put down pressure.
    The only mods I made was I tightened the pivot point up a bit as it seems to have a slight bit of play left to right and took the pocket clip off. But it's only $15 (in my area anyways)
    The only downside is maybe it's a bit heavy for what it is and it's not one handed open. But for 15 bucks I am loving it.

    There are plenty of great knifes (handles) in G10, micarta, carbon fibre, titanium, for surgical blades (scalpel blades) in all sizes, when they are closed, they look like your best pocketknife, the blades are replaceable, cheap and easy to find, hardness 58-60, extremely sharp, light and practical. From $15 to around $80. I believe Kershaw has some.

    I do a lot of cutting tasks on my farm and use my Stanley 10-049. Best $9.77 I’ve ever spent. Replacement blades are over $3, but it’s much easier to sharpen than a standard utility blade, so each blade lasts a really long time.
    Would I spend over 8 times as much for this? Nope… it’s definitely nicer, but the only reason I might get one would be left handed pocket clip that this doesn’t have. So for now, my Stanley 10-049 rides in my back pocket and I’m happy with that.

    • @Deucci
      @Deucci 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm left handed, carry this knife left handed and use it left handed. It's a breeze, I honestly think it's easier to use left handed than right handed. It was a concern of mine before I purchased it as well. Having had to become accustomed to right handed everything all my life, I was pleased at the ease of which this is to use left handed.

    Thanks for the review, i love my V3 with the MM-ruler scale so much that I am going to shoot some footage of it too. It is the ultimate #realedc knife solution for me. Other folding or non-folding utility knives were okay for abuse at work but they weren't likable enough for carry beyond that. I seriously like the V3 even better than my The Utilizer 2.0, which was the best back then.

    i think the blade is too close to the exposed back. so when it is closed in your pockets it can cut your pocket or objects in your pocket, or even your hand if you have small fingers

    I've had one a couple months. I'm not excited about the flipping action, even after cleaning the bearings. It just isn't that "addictively smooth" feeling or even that comfortable IMO. The flipper geometry and feel could use some tweaking. And I think the pocket clip needs more refinement for being in this price range. Having said that, it's with me every day and I would hate to think of going without. I much prefer it over a blade I need to sharpen often just for cutting boxes and random stuff at work, and it does look 100x better than my previous Milwaukee Fastback that I carried for years.
