I noticed there may have been a stuck pixel in your review. Did you notice that? My unit had two stuck pixels, it was returned. I’m contemplating trying again but not too sure. Do you think this will be a something of a concern long term?
its freking cool but ill whait for the rtx 50 version cause already have a 4060 and the jump yo the 4070 its not so worth so ill whait for the 50 version cause at least will have dlls 4
Question, I’ve been doing a lot of research on these g16 gaming laptops. Now I an interested in the rtx4080 but I need know know how it will handle video editing as I will do that on it 80% of the time. If anyone knows that has it please let me know. Not a lot of videos covers that aspect as I understand it is a gaming laptop for a reason. I usually think these gaming laptops with high specs are more powerful.
You're correct in your assessment that these gaming laptops with high specs are powerful. Honestly, it depends on what software and what kind of footage you would be editing. I recently got the G16, rtx 4070 with ryzen. I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit 4k footage and it's very smooth. I also do screenwriting and you can imagine how effortless that is. You can also add more ram since the pre-installed 16gb memory is soldered.
I think the most important part is making sure you have enough ram for what you want to do. I wouldn’t go under 32gb. Then decide on what you want based on how much you want to spend. My brother runs blender on a 4050 if that helps. Also get amd over intel if you can.
Hi there! Definitely check out PugetBench's benchmarks for DaVinci/Premier Pro, those will give you a good idea. The 4080 gives a nice boost for editing, but to maximize performance a 4090 would be the best spec if you can afford it and find the increase worth it.
getting a gaming desktop soon which will be replacing the gaming laptops I have meaning the one I returned and the one I have now now I have the G18 and still having the same issue and the OLED is not very impressive to be honest wit you fr
If he turns the settings down to competitive settings ( all low shadows off view distance high ) 1080p plus performance mode he can prob get stable 240fps
money money money... For those who are loaded, that's what they'll do. For those who can only get a laptop for work (travel a lot) or uni etc... with not much money will prefer this laptop-monitor combo. Monitor changes things for productivity/everyday life while you still want to bring your pc wherever you need to.
For those who plan on getting this, don’t do it. It can’t even handle roblox at all it’s so bad at a high price and useless get something else and yes I actually own this, this is me speaking from experience.
OLED displays on laptops are such a horrible idea. Very little value over the previous gen's miniLED, completely ruins resale value. Perfect for planned obsolescence, though.
@@bullseye0419 OLED are: 1. The most beautiful type of display panel (100% color accuracy) and it not even a competition. 2. The most expensive 3. The shortest life span But well people still bought oled because of the first one, once you change to oled you couldn't change back it was league above other panel
had one of these their trash gaming experience is terrible not highly immersive that I thought it would be felt like I was playing on a console and not a high end machine even though it basically is for a laptop but I had the intel one wit ultra core I9 and rtx 4080 still trash fr

Then what do you suggest? In windows laptops?
Please suggest something powerful with 4k screen touch 200hz +

Do you mean OLED screens are nice but do not last? Asking because I'm considering an OLED monitor but now I'm wondering.

We got this model also with an IPS panel, but OLED is really better.
OLED is a huge seller
Your views on OLED are outdated, new OLED panels don't burn out using newer technology.
I have one with a 4080 and there are endless problems you will have to spend a lot of time on.
