Oh I just noticed an interesting thing. The boxes in USA all have Grey colored sides (the dualsense boxes, the PS5 and the portal) but in Europe we have them with Yellow sides (my Edge has it in yellow and I've looked at other unboxings on youtube from europe and they were all yellow). It seems that Sony replicated the original boxes for all regions. Japan has a different design as well because their original was different from the USA and Europe ones.
Yep! I'm thinking the same thing as, in Southeast Asia, we had the Japanese PS1 packaging design replicated for the PS1 Classic with the plain cardboard box look with black printing, so I assume that's also being done with the PS 30th Anniversary collection, where we'd receive them with Japanese region style packaging.

I was so disappointed that the posters come folded instead of rolled. It's especially bad with the darker poster designs, the creases absolutely ruin any point of displaying them
Back in the day we used to put a towel over it use a clothes iron the remove the creases. Do it carefully but it should work well enough for putting it in a frame

I’m using mine, but keeping the box and everything in top shape. Little sad the box wasn’t retro as well. It’s a very nice and heavy box and packaged well, but still like how the retro box looks for the regular PS5
I got very lucky with the second restock on ps direct. Managed to get the regular dualsense because I just did not have any luck getting the Edge. But I also just very much want this limited edition version of Edge if I were to get one. So, I said screw it and got one off ebay. The cheapest one was 170 bucks markup with free shipping at least. So, the actual profit for them is less than that. The vendor also had like 2k items sold. So, they looked fairly trustworthy. And the dude got the item shipped like in 10 minutes too. It was probably the fastest I have seen a shipping label created.
I waited for over an hour only to be kicked out and see the sold out message on the product. Curious what time you got in line. I didnt know to get in line until it was time, so I guess ppl got in line ahead of me before then?
Got mine plus an Edge and an extra Dualsense. I'm actually going to use mine as a daily driver, I just hope it lasts for many years because I'll be heartbroken if we discover the average lifetime of the slim isn't all that great. Keep the dust out everybody!

Or some couldn't get it because Sony garbage ass ps direct can't handle traffic and doesn't have any insurance you'll get one because of scalpers. They should have adopted, you must have psn account for a year or you can't make the purchase.
Open preorders have been an amazing thing to help circumvent scalpers (at least a little bit) and I wish these normal big companies would start implementing it
PS direct was only for the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary limited edition. The PS5 slim 30th anniversary edition shown here was also available threw shops. Limited stock of course but it was.
I waited four years for Sony to put those iconic green/red/blue/pink colours back on the face buttons and they look just as beautiful as ever. (I also liberated L3 + R3 from the thumbsticks and remapped them to the magnetic back buttons.)
That's stupid you should map those paddles for buttons your thumbs can't touch while using the thumbsticks.. like if you assign one of them to say X (jump) you can now jump and do a 180 turn at the same time.
@@kelb0y9o20 Hard disagree. Too often in games, applying pressure to the sticks triggers an L3/R3 mode accidentally. Those buttons were only placed there because the original DualShock had nowhere else to put them. It’s really not a good place for a button and frequently squeezing into them like that contributes to stick drift.
Yea I already have multiple Dualsense controllers but that did not stop me from opening my 30th Anniversary Edition PS5 Dualsense I want to actually use it not just stare at the box.
I’ve got 4 controllers (1 is the Astro Bot) and I tried getting one of these and I would 100% use it but no luck grabbing one 😭 I dunno how people just leave stuff in the box.
It's probably better off in the box - that way it can't start developing stick drift over time from use 😂 basically the sooner you use it the shorter it's lifespan gets.

Got my 30th anniversary pro bundle and it was packaged very nicely. Beautiful, heavy duty box, but I was a little disappointed to find out it does not look like the old PS1 packaging. It’s ok though, the console and everything it came with look beautiful. I acknowledge I got very lucky.
In regards to the folded poster, I work in the photo framing industry, see if you can find a custom framer that has what is known as a vacuum heat press, it's the best way to mount then frame anything that has been folded. It does a lot of heavy lifting at "removing" and making creases less visible.

You got a different poster to me. I got a cool black one with the playstation 1 logo on it. And its kinda like a videotape retro style. You can iron the creases out of the poster btw. Pop a thick towel over the poster and iron it. 👍 Mine also arrived with the seals broken. We got 2 seals in the UK. But atleast my box is mint.

I got the 30th Pro Bundle and I can say Sony put a lot of thought into the unboxing process. I mean when you pull the top of the box off, the console is standing there on display with no wrapping hindering the view. The only thing I missed out on in this experience is the retro retail model packaging. Still I am super stoked to be one of 12,300 people worldwide to own the 30th anniversary PS5 Pro…now it’s time to test all the sweet visual upgrades.
I tried so hard to get a PS5 Pro 30th AE on launch day but couldn’t succeed. So I at least got a regular PS5 Pro and the Dualsense 30th AE. Incredibly looking ❤

It's nice, but Sony could do a lot more. I think an og PS gamer's ideal would be a PS console that plays every generation of PS games. PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5.
As an "OG PlayStation owner" who has been gaming on them since 1995, my idea of "heaven" would be a generation with great games, more affordable hardware for the masses, controllers that don't acquire stick drift over time and a Sony with something to prove rather than just hubris. As it is, this bundle just draws attention to how crappy they've been this generation, treating fans with disdain and fleecing the more foolish with this bundle and other overpriced hardware. Total nostalgia cash in, I don't care how good it looks. The controller is hilarious because I have had original DualShock 1s that still work 20+ years later yet have also had DualSense ones that don't even last 2 years. Basically the new controller isn't fit to wear the old controller's clothes because it's a pretender.
I am 32 years old and I have no problem hanging up posters with creases in them with tacks on my wall. I dig it. And mystic, if you don't want those playstation cable holders, send em my way. That's a stylish way to mange your cables!
I had it pre-ordered from a shop but they cancelled on me just 2days ago and refunded me. At least they didn't cancel my PS5 30th anniversary but it was so annoying because i could have gotten it from another shop if i knew they might not manage to get it for me but i thought i was safe with my order and now you can't get it anywhere but with scalpers so they really did a nasty on me. Sure they give you the money back but they still cause you damage when is a limited product you now can't get anymore or you have to pay crazy prices to get.

You can remove those creases on the poster with a cloth under an iron. It won't be 100% perfect, but most of the creases will be flattened and ready to frame.
Dang, this is the first special edition console I’ve ever found tempting. Unexpected that they include a disc drive cover. Even the packaging is great. Can’t wait to see this in your display case.

I spray painted my slim plates with matte grey and bought the retro sticker to put on the console, then just bought the 30th controller. saved a ton of money and a good alternative

Despite being a PS fan since the OG fans I’ve never been a fan of the grey look so I would never buy any of these, but the paperclip is legitimately cool. If they sold a box of those I would buy those.

Managed to get the duelsense controller and im very happy\grateful however i agree with some comments i feel sony should have did a made to order with this, so everyone who wanted a 30th anniversary console they could do so. The pro imo had the best offering conpared to the slim, got a duelsense edge to plus everything else shown but man im jelly 😂😂
Nice Collection of PlayStation Consoles, I still own the Original PlayStation 1, PS3 Fat Console, PS3 Slim, Original PS4 Consoles. I couldn't get the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary, so I just got the regular PS5 Pro.
It looks incredible, but rationally it’s hard to justify buying it if you have an OG disc version. Here it costs 600 + you have to buy a separate disc drive - and this only gets you the same experience of base PS5 that you already have. Would make sense to go for Pro, but why on earth would they limit it to 12.300 units…
Same I keep pressing another button instead of the extra buttons underneath definitely muscle memory..we just need more practice with them but can see what a difference they make when in sync with them.

ps5 pro is only the one with like 12,000. there's a lot of 30th anniversary ps5 slims, controllers, and ps portals out there

With the 30th anniversary you get both sets of feet, the large and smaller one. Although the largest ones come with a new disc drive anyway.

I spray painted my slim plates with matte grey and bought the retro sticker to put on the console, then just bought the 30th controller. saved a ton of money and a good alternative
30 poster designs? I got lucky then, mine is one with a disassembled PS1, looks really nice. This edition is beautiful.

Nice unboxing video man, can totally tell how excited you were. Did they improve the battery life of the edge controller, or is it still worse or close to the standard controller? Would have loved to have had the dualsense 30th anniversary edition dualsense controller but first come first served. How many PS5 consoles do you have now? I am still using my launch PS5 & have no issues with it, but i don't like how Sony doesn't seem to acknowledge the og model anymore. It's shameful. Respect the early adopters, Sony. Hope you have fun gazing upon the grey lady.

He scoffs at the PlayStation paperclip, but legitimately that’s the only thing out of this whole video I actually want! Despite being a PS fan since the OG fans I’ve never been a fan of the grey look so I would never buy any of these, but the paperclip is legitimately cool. If they sold a box of those I would buy those.

Managed to get the duelsense controller and im very happy\grateful however i agree with some comments i feel sony should have did a made to order with this, so everyone who wanted a 30th anniversary console they could do so. The pro imo had the best offering conpared to the slim, got a duelsense edge to plus everything else shown but man im jelly 😂😂
I wish they would make special edition PlayStation consoles for the anniversary of other PlayStation's.

The box for the Pro version is incredible. Shame that it did not come with the outer box for the DualSense edge. (Not a deal breaker tho)

Nice Collection of PlayStation Consoles, I still own the Original PlayStation 1, PS3 Fat Console, PS3 Slim, Original PS4 Consoles. I couldn't get the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary, so I just got the regular PS5 Pro.
My controller box tore with zero aggression. Unbelievable
It looks incredible, but rationally it’s hard to justify buying it if you have an OG disc version. Here it costs 600 + you have to buy a separate disc drive - and this only gets you the same experience of base PS5 that you already have.
Would make sense to go for Pro, but why on earth would they limit it to 12.300 units…

Same I keep pressing another button instead of the extra buttons underneath definitely muscle memory..we just need more practice with them but can see what a difference they make when in sync with them.
