    wanted to do it by myself, but it seems too complicated. Nevertheless, it is a great video, to see someone skilled to perform such an operation.
    I would stick to buying more powerful and already calibrated pump then, haha.

    I recommend using a plastic seal pick

    Hi, I have an Audi 1.9tdi AFN and the pump's shaft has an axial and also some radial play. Is that normal or is it about to crap out? Thanks.

      Hi, to be honest, I don't know. If I were you, I wouldn't bother myself if there is a little play, even though it ain't supposed to be. Secondhand pumps in Lithuania are cheap to buy and replacing the seals doesn't cost too much if I'm doing it by my self.

      I did that just top seals cause it was leaking but now my car randomly just wants to run into full RPMs
      any ideas why? @@Gadomaitis

      I did top seals replacement (the two square ones) yesterday on a VP37 5 cylinder yesterday and same problem : engine runaway. The head must be out of alignement, I did not make any marks during dissasselby. Do you know how to correctly align it without marks ?

    • @Gadomaitis
      @Gadomaitis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Morgan-hs9ey look closely to bolt marks, are they back to exactly same places? If you have diagnostic tool, check injection quantity( injection pump head location responsible for injection quantity) If you don't have, unscrew fourr bolts and try taping the head with hammer, you will notice the difference.

    This is a very informative video . Thank you from Australia . I have a question . What is behind the black cover with wires protruding ? The reason I ask is because I have a VE 44 pump on a 2000 year , 312 Sprinter with an automatic gearbox . It has developed a diesel leak from the bottom edge . I noticed you didn't take this cover off and wondered why ?

    • @Gadomaitis
      @Gadomaitis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, which part of AU? I've been living in Perth, only nice memories. I recon that behind the cover is a simple O-ring seal, it wasn't leaking from there and the kit doesn't include it, so I wasn't considering to change it. I read somewhere, that It's a struggle to change it. Cheers, G.

      @Gadomaitis I've just returned to Perth after being stuck in Sydney ( due to Covid restrictions ) . I'm currently in Kalamunda in the Hills . I've been quoted $2800 - 3400 to replace the seals , if I remove and refit the pump myself !

    • @Gadomaitis
      @Gadomaitis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bloody expensive, knowing that it's an easy job. Isn't it's cheaper to buy used pump from Ebay for ~200eur? and fit it by your self? Kalamunda Hills, I know the place, nice views opening from Goosbery Hill Lookout!

      @Gadomaitis I've watched a few videos now, and it looks like the top can be taken off, and the seals replaced whilst in situ . On closer examination the leak could be from the casting joint below the black cover rather than from it . Many thanks for your replies and I will let you know how the repair goes .
