Ride with the train driver from The Hague to Rotterdam. (With speedometer)

Looking over the shoulder of a train driver on the route from The Hague Central Station to Rotterdam Central Station.
We ride on the local train, the 5135, from The Hague Central Station straight through the Rotterdam - The Hague metropolitan region to Rotterdam Central Station.
It is beautiful sunny spring weather, blossoms are appearing everywhere. It's a quiet ride.

Dank ej wel Mark, ICNG komt voorlopig niet naar Zwolle en ook niet in het werkpakket voor Zwolle, dus helaas voorlopig geen ritten met de ICNG.

@@meesterpaul2 jammer. Ik had de ICNG in Meppel gezien tijdje terug en reed richting Leeuwarden. Het had gekund dat de Meesters in Leeuwarden, Groningen en Zwolle bezig waren om materieel bekwaam te worden met de ICNG

@@user-gs7ig6mv4h wij stonden wel op de lijst maar omdat alles minder snel ingestroomd dan gedacht zijn veel plannen omgegooid. De ritten naar Leeuwarden zijn testritten voor de machinisten die wel opgeleid worden (Lelystad en Amersfoort) en de stroomloze bruggen zijn dan een mooie oefening voor ze.

The residents didn't like the previous viaduct. The line needed to be quad tracked anyway and the tunnel also freed up space for development around the station

exactly what @OntarioTrafficman says, we need a lot of space and we solve that by stopping traffic underground where necessary.
