I would highly recommend wiring this to a fused power source. Preferably one that is key position aware (accessory power aware). I've seen many cases with CB's and PA's where people park their vehicles and accidentally leave the devices powered on (at some point you ARE going to forget) only to come back to a dead battery.
Don't wire it directly to your battery. Unless you want to light your truck on fire. Always use a fused system with a relay that takes power from the battery to power the accessories
Want one for my F150 to have the ability to speak to people from the inside of my truck at a distance. Like in parking lots and what not. When I needa commicate
Is it illegal to have ? I have it on my police interceptor crown Vic , I never used it on public roads and never will , but I have used it in parking lots , I live in NC.
What a bravo performance to trying to sell a product.... I have this exact setup, and the volume does not affect the horn or siren, only controls the PA. But good try on making us think it's way louder...
My first thought is that controller is going to rub on your leg. It also seems like it could hang up on your pants when you get in/out, or you may kick it at that time.
No need for a relay with this system but he definitely should have used a fuse for the positive wire. Specially since he decided to run the wires in his door jam which will eventually short out🤦♂️
Did you have to bolt in the actual system to the side panel near the door? I’m planning to install mine tomorrow in my Tacoma. Any other spots you recommend in installing? Or is that the best spot in your opinion?
The spot where you put the speaking did you notice any vibration issues that's a great spot I want to do the same on my truck btw is that a c clamp you used?
First. Why would you put a siren on your truck if your not a volunteer fireman or the such. Second, did you really go thru the door jamb instead of firewall with the wire??? Third. Did you not fuse the power wire at the battery?? That’s why people burn their trucks up
You can use it on public roads the PA and Airhorn if a cop pulls you over its just a ticket for loud bell or whistle in our county its a $25 fine. Georgia State Patrol here 15+ years.
You put in so much work to hide the wires but cut corners on all the important stuff🤦♂️ 1) You need to put a fuse on the positive wire running to the battery. 2) Use proper butt connectors for your speaker wires (I personally prefer to solder the wires), as well as proper end terminals for your power wires connecting to the battery. 3) Properly run the wires through the firewall and into your cab. Your wires in the door jam will eventually get destroyed and pinched which will cause them to short out and since you have no fuse on the power wire, it will end very badly. What you just did was give an instructional video on how to burn your vehicle down. I urge anyone who wants to install one of these systems to please go watch a different video that will show the correct way to wire it in or else you are just going to cause alot of issues for yourself.
I agree with the last 2 points you made but you need to be more observant about point number 1. You can clearly see a fuse on the positive wire by the control box at 0:43 I happen to have this exact device and it already comes with a fuse. However I used proper connectors and wired mine through the firewall.
Link in description! 😁
can you say “private roads” a little more
For real😂
Sarcasm 😂
Private roads
Lmao
😂😂😂😂
Hell with private roads I use it all the time you don’t use your turn signal you’ll hear about it
🤣
Just ordered one for the same purpose

TY for giving a sound example 👍👏👏👏
No worries
How did you connect the wires to the battery? Also what was the best way to screw the system under your dash?
Don't wire it directly to your battery. Unless you want to light your truck on fire. Always use a fused system with a relay that takes power from the battery to power the accessories
@@ooasimoogreat advice!
@@ooasimoo most of them have fuses in line with the positive. i used a cigarette socket adapter instead
i used a cig socket plug and play adapter
Can you provide us an update after a year of having it?
Very clean looking install.
Thanks man
Bro he literally ran wires through the door jamb. That's not a clean install
@@thingstoremember4489 Well it looked clean to me. I don't wire much so I wouldn't know better I guess.
I just weleded a bracket for bothe the speaker and the unit and cant wait to use it (paint drying) thanks for the review
Oooo nice thanks
In Portland I could use that to wake up The walking Dead😂
Want one for my F150 to have the ability to speak to people from the inside of my truck at a distance. Like in parking lots and what not. When I needa commicate
the entire reason i watched this was to hear the sirens😭
I just got one and it's getting hooked up in a camper it's for my neighbors because they ain't nothing but trouble
Where do you stink the wire? Is it in the positive and negative?
How do you hook up the additional 2 power on off switches?
do u have the link where to get it thanks broddie
Great video, I've seen 2 types of speakers the bull horn type and the one you installed , What type is the loudest, Thanks
hm good point i needa try the other one
What gauge wire did you use for the extra wire
I'd like the video if you'd install lights to go with those switches. Not one video on this product has lights hooked up to it. 😊
That's tight! >:0
Thanks buddy
Do I have to run 12v to the speaker or just connect the green wires to it
won't this drain the battery without a relay?
Over time yes, I had an issue like that with my subs, I added a switch and it fixed the issue
@@randomperson9248 how
Is it illegal to have ? I have it on my police interceptor crown Vic , I never used it on public roads and never will , but I have used it in parking lots , I live in NC.
Not legal unless private roads I’m pretty sure
@@TheUnrestricted not even just to have it installed ? I might have to cover it if I get pulled over
No you can have it just sitting there as long as you don’t use it. But double check with your state laws I’m not 100% sure
@@TheUnrestricted thanks , I tried calling our local sheriff, but I haven't heard back
I have same question here, I’m from New York
Stop saying only on private roads.
What’s the point of the video if you aren’t going to cycle through the different sirens?
Is this legal in a civilian vehicle?
yes for use only on private roads
Just use it anywhere who cares
you can get in trouble for it if you use it in certain ways but yeah i agree who tf cares this shits funny as hell
@@susmanjig.223if the cops can have it, so can I. 👌🏻
Where did u get the mount for the speaker. I ordered one and it didn’t come with any sort of mount
Did you ever get your answer?
@@jacksampson4045 no but when I got it I just mounted it with some self tappers that I had to go buy from a hardware store

Does this void warranty?
Is it just me or did the voice sound muffled ?
Great installation
Thanks!
Did you bolt on the hand mic mount? Or is it adhesive?

Adhesive
@@MuzzleOps_Tundra yeah for me that was the best spot. Not on the actual door but under and out of the way.

Yeah it’s not a bad spot no vibration, and yes
Bisa mp3
What happened with the white and yellow wires? Where did you connect to?
Left them, those are for lights
Does it use your battery when car is off
Yes it does
Did you have to wire a inline fuse when you hooked it to the battery
Yes you should

Also where did you buy the hand mic mount?
Below the steering wheel to the left of jt
@@TheUnrestricted that wasn’t the question LOL
How much is it?
What’s the point recording this when you don’t use it ? Mannn come one make another video on private roads and use it

No

Liked😂
Turn it up 🐱
Not helpful.could not tell if microphone had clear loud audio???
Use a fuse…
You should have just wired it to an ignition switched fuse no crappy door jam wiring lol
What did you use to mount the speaker?
Zip tie. I didn’t bolt it

I'm going to use it for music fuq it
🤣🤣🤣
Let me know how that goes. I can't tell if the poor sound quality is the mic or the speaker
I was thinking the same thing. lmk how it sounds
👍
Why not go through the firewall?
It was temporary just to see how well it works, already took it out.
