As an educated and experienced beautician, I can only give you one piece of advice: There is no amount of skin care that can replace your mental health and a healthy diet. Everything else is a lie.

Add financial independence to the list. Instead of splurging on luxury skincare, put that money in an index fund and you’ll be 1,000x happier than any cream could ever make you.

sunscreen, no smoking, no alcohol, avoid toxic people, sleep 8 hours or more, olive oil, drink water, eat fruits and vegetables, get some sunshine, being near water/the sea, have plants and flowers around, spending time with loved ones, doing something creative like painting, writing, etc., appreciate all that you have everyday. And adopt a bouncy dog or snuggly cat who will joyfully greet you at the door each time you come home (exhausted, bedraggled, soaking wet from being caught in the rain, etc.) and offer the kind of unconditional love only animals can provide.

I wash and shampoo my hair everyday and always have and it has done me no harm. Your hair will always be clean and you will feel much better too. I know some people can´t do this due to scalp conditons or hair conditions etc, but for most people it´s fine. Absolutely agree with staying away from processed food. A little sugar is fine, just not large amounts per day. Same with salt. Actually, same with everything. But I would completely cut out smoking, vaping, and alcohol. Highly recommend rose hip oil and hemp oil/cream for skin. Almond oil also good.

I like the advice. I basically hear it as: look like the healthiest version of you.
Take care of yourself. Take care of your body, mind, and spirit and you will increase your beauty in general.
Of course there are other procedures we can do “to help”, but markers of health are something we can all improve to some degree.

The List: How to look beautiful when you’re average.

    2. White straight teeth
    3. High protein, high fat diet. Eat whole natural foods. Prefer vital and healthy vs. super slim.
    4. Getting adequate sleep.
    5. Remove lymph especially in face. Lymphatic drainage and lymphatic massage.
    6. Wear classic style be subtle and simple. Think 1990s Calvin Klein.
    7. Posture and movement hold frame and head upright keep movements fluid and subtle
    8. Eliminate processed foods
    9. Invest in hydration and sun screen. Look after your skin research a skin care routine.
    10. Do Pilates and yoga. They are more lean and aligned and graceful and elongated.
    11. Cut out sugar

“Me time and Ugly” DECEASED 😂💀 but honestly thank you for this M. I’m turning 40 this year - 2 children age 4 & 2, breast fed for 4 years continuously from one to the other. No grey hairs and still look young but struggling with thinning hair, poor lympathics and just generally feeling bleugh about my size and body (wanting to lose 10kg for 10yrs) … I was never taught by mother any of this self care / beauty stuff as I was seen as a tomboy in the library with short boy hair but now I really want to take CARE of me inside and out and beautify. I think a lot of what you are saying is about self care and beauty maintenance- presenting yourself as clean, good posture, elegant… I’ve achieved a lot in my life career wise but I think if I’m honest my lack of confidence in my looks in the boardroom has/is holding me back! Girl I’m ready to do the thing!! Yoga, supplements, good hair care, facial massage routine it’s all happening

Now that I actually had a chance to listen to the whole thing (4 month old baby indahaus) it was the best podcast on appearance ever. While pregnant, I looked my best, the pregnancy glow was out of this world. It gave me confidence.
The baby came out, and I looked miserable again. So I wrote down the key differences between pre birth and after birth about myself and landed on "I should get my hair done" first. It made me feel amazing and made me look for other ways to improve myself.
These tips are so easy to maintain! Thank you!

I've had them point out my wonky eye liner which I like doing that way because it looks better on my eyes, I've had them tell me the good the bad and the ugly. Making friends or getting along with people? If you don't mind me asking.
Because if it's the former...I would urge you to be very careful about what kind of personal info you share with a colleague. A lot of people are shockingly indiscreet, when it comes to private information about their 'friends'. And friendships can and do sometimes go sour. I'm in my 40s and I've seen it happen a number of times. One time, it even happened to me and very unexpectedly so. That kind of thing can result in a lot of interpersonal drama and no one needs that at their workplace.
And especially as a woman, it can really sabotage your career as well.
Just something to consider and I hope you don't mind me butting in with unsolicited advice 😉

I went to school with a college mate that everyone thought was exquisite. She carried herself like Cleopatra. She was smart. She had beautiful legs. She was always tanned. If you really looked at her face, she was not a pretty girl. But everyone was convinced that she was a beauty queen. It was because of the way she carried herself and the way she dressed, also she believed that she was a beauty, queen and we all did as well.

Her Margarita! Great video! I’m turning 50 next month and stopped coloring my hair two years ago. It used to be a very dark brown and now it’s salt and pepper. My hair has grown longer and is healthier but sometimes I feel scared letting it go natural, worried it makes me look older. But other days I really dig it and couldn’t imagine coloring it. How does ditching the dye fit into the tips you share in this video?

Grey hair is beautiful but it is very aging 10-20 years older at least.. but if it is your personal, authentic style and you don’t mind looking older .. rock it! It’s gorgeous and eyecatching.

The one step I would add is to cut sodium. Cutting both sodium and sugar (not entirely but as much as possible) is great in terms of reducing water retention, accelerating weight loss, and improving healthy skin

Hi there. Your vids are great. Please look into Celtic sea salt so your cells can absorb the water you’re drinking. Table salt is killing us and Celtic sea salt is a critical aspect of hydration. Please please please look into it, as I’ve found it to be life changing.
