Depends if they are a good guy or bad guy air ship crew. Good guys would have top break Webley's and bad guys would have C-96's. Automatics aren't good guy weapons until you get to Colt .45's in diesel punk;).
Featured in the John Wayne western "Big Jake" In one scene in a saloon, a bad guy picks a fight with they guy with "Hey you! Yeah you! You! With the funny looking gun!" Of course, those were his last words
According to Imdb, the pistol is referred to as a Begman 1911. But it is, in fact a customised mock-up based on a Walther P-38. I'm gonna have to go watch it now, just to see the bloody thing.
If you thought the grip was odd shaped and crowded your hand up by the trigger,I probably couldn't shoot it! Looks cool though seemed to function nicely. I agree on the c96 vibes looks like a prototype! Cool! You keep shooting stuff I never could! Love that smile!
That movie is false propaganda. Plenty of Danish and Norwegain people supported Germany, because they protected us from the communists. I'm Swedish and many Swedes were volunteers against the communists in the Baltics and in the winter war supporting Finland and Mannerheim
I believe this is the Bergmann that made an appearance in Big Jake (1971) with a funny quip by John Wayne when introduced. Cannot recall if it was Patrick Wayne, or Robert Mitchum's son who used it.
The C96 with stock attached sure was used like a standard carbine by the Chinese at the time. I’d take 10 rounds semi auto 7.63 Mauser over 5 rounds bolt action any time.
Nice lines to it I wonder if they were thinking that much out front will help keep it from being flippy in recoil or was it just packaging for trigger mechanism
This is my favorite handgun of it's time. Browning designs are awesome and obviously ahead of his time, but for some reason this gun really catches my eye
Where it made? Pieper - Lieja (Belgium) models made for Spain was quite weak and quickly Spanish military look for best option in Campo-Giro homeland production but the ammo remains in service in Spain for long time with the name 9 mm x 23 Largo...
Every minute of mae is like a christmas present
Truly! Mae is the gun goddess of all time.
Well, your not wrong lol
One of my favorites, such a steampunk looking piece. If I were arming my airship crew this would be their sidearm.
Ad Victoriam, Paladin.
Why not mateba 8?
It's a handsome pistol Mae

@@silverjohn6037 Dieselpunk is underrated as a genre
Such an aesthetic gun, I love the grips.

I was just thinking that. But wasn't it an 1893 pistol? It must be forty years since I saw the film on TV. So the memory is fuzzy.

Love all these great little Star Wars blasters.
Han Solo's D10 blaster was based on the Mauser C96 pistol
@doughesson the mandalorian, in the show, uses this
C96 at home
The C96 WISHES it had the looks of this gun.
I much prefer the C96 at home
I literally came here to say this.
It’s literally just the gigachad version of the c96
C96 go home, your drunk
It's got a rather low boreline compared to the Mauser and you can see where the Olympic pistols by Hammerelli got inspiration from.
yes
The hammerli olympia looks more like a mix of both the bergmann and the 1911 in a way
I love the design philosophy of Bergmann pistols, they're so cool.
Как и Маузер 96 😉
Her smile at the end is the best part.
If you had her job, wouldn't you be walking around with a pleased some most of the time?
@@doughesson Yep!
Always is!
A great video and what a solid pistol.

Thank you for all the hard work
Thank you very much. One of my favorite minutes of the week.
Her assessments are excellent.!
Thanks Mae, excellent delivery, Cheers
definitely a C96 vibe
I can hear Ian screaming in the background.
love this gun ive been searching for a replica for ages
This gun can be seen (though unfortunately not used) in the danish movie, April 9th. It’s a pretty realistic take on war.
Is that the one where they basically like lose World War II by lunchtime? 😒
@@WALTERBROADDUS by breakfast time*
@@waltuh11121 I think I saw that on TH-cam? Guys on bicycles trying to fight tanks....
I was excited when I saw it in the film because I actually knew what it was due to this Channel.

Wonderful!
This is one really cool looking pistol!
Well done 👏
Love it
Beautiful and interesting design
In the movie big Jake his eldest son had a 1908 Bergman
Very cool
I always liked the looks of this Bergmann.
Sweet, sweet piece. 👍
Yay a Min of Mae 🖤
just so cool
excellent
Channeling Napoleon Dynamite watching you smile after shooting such a fine and rare pistol: "Lucky."
definitely my favorite old semi auto pistol. ive made one with lego with moving parts and stripper clip loading
The C96 WISHES it had the looks of the Bergmann.
Oh it's beautiful
Her voice is absolutely perfect.
my favourite pistol, so beautiful I hope to own one at some point
Yes!! My favourite gun... 😊
Recently saw this gun in a Danish movie April 9th. I was so excited because I actually knew what it was due to this Channel. Thanks!
😃🇩🇰issue sidearm❤

Christopher Mitchum had it first but gave it to Patrick Wayne since he was the rifleman with the scoped rifle.
I really like the looks of this pistol
I swear Mae is more and more beautiful in every video
Only six round! That wouldn't be enough at least for me.
Beautiful gun!
Muy bueno tu vídeo saludos desde Argentina
Looked a little front heavy, Mae handled it great! As Always!!
What a classic.
Once again, my day has been Mae d.
No, where I feel confident that was my side alarm!
One of my favorite pistols of all time, especially the interwar 1910/21!
Время невероятной классической механики 🙂
"Mom can we have C96?"
"No, we have C96 at home"
C96 at home:
The Bergman and the Frommer are probably my favorite WW1 sidearms
I like the Bergmann and I wish I liked it more
I like to think that this and the C96 were developed into successful carbines in an alternate timeline.
The C96 with stock attached sure was used like a standard carbine by the Chinese at the time. I’d take 10 rounds semi auto 7.63 Mauser over 5 rounds bolt action any time.
Good thing you're wearing a hat for that flying brass.
It’s a GREAT DAY!
The Bergmanns have always been such pretty looking guns.
I’ve been looking for the name of this gun! I saw it on an evidence room documentation but I couldn’t spy the name of it. Thanks Mae!
When a Mauser c96 starts its New Year’s Resolution diet…
man, if Winston Churchill looked at this he woulda say "nahh d'is look'n like jit trippin" in a Gumball accent 💀
Mae you are super cool
Mae is beautiful
guns like this make me wonder how these guns would do today rechambered or redesigned in magnum caliber
So weird and cool at the same time.
I want one
Nice lines to it I wonder if they were thinking that much out front will help keep it from being flippy in recoil or was it just packaging for trigger mechanism
Cool
Pistols with the magazine forward of the trigger have a special place in my heart
This is my favorite handgun of it's time. Browning designs are awesome and obviously ahead of his time, but for some reason this gun really catches my eye
That barrel reminds me of a Smith and Wesson Schofield.
all of these 1890s-1910s pistols give serious starwars vibes
When I saw the thumbnail I was like, “what the fuck is that?”
Underappreciated beauty, so much better than the C96.
That's a p cool pistol...now ya got me wanting one 🤣🤣🤠
0:12
Bergmann 1910, with the apt length of 10 inches
Algorithm validated yet again!
I owned a 10/21, and it was a joy to fire, a real puzzle box to disassemble, but simple once you knew how. Typical Bergman Artistry.
Anybody else get flashbacks to the forgotten weapons Bergmann deathmarch?
👍👍👍
The C96 at home
silver hand's best love.
The pistol that inspired the Mandalorian's Blaster
Nope, that would the Bergman 1896 that they barely changed when they put it in the show.
I'd like to see a husqvarna lahti
👍
👌🏻
It's front heavy? Cant imagine why...?!
👍👍👍👍
I FUCKING LOVE THIS GOOFY ASS PISTOL
The bore on that thing looked like a .45.
Didn't the the Origional Bergmann Bayard come out before the C96 (broomhandle Mauser?)
I want a C96
Mom: we have a C96 at home.
C96 at home:
💯💖👍!
Will any 9mm round work on this gun? Really want to try and collect this line.
En España fue la pistola de reglamento desde 1909 a 1911. Yo he disparado con ese arma.
give it front vertical grip, is will more fun
Me: "Mom, can we have Mauser?"
