How can 640 people dislike this video you see clear as day the car would not start because of the rapid flashing anti-theft light this guy showed you from start to finish what to do just because he does not talk in the video explaining who cares just sit there watch it do exactly like he does and you'll get a car that will start simple as that
You could have simply taken a 7 : 40 video to 0 :40 "Turn the key to on, leave it for ten minutes, when the light goes off, start it up ... end of video
This happened to me as night when I was at a gas station after I pumped gas with the whole theft light. Weird thing is my aftermarket remote starter would start the car but not my key.. so I made it home fine. The one thing that got my key working again... is to lock the steering wheel by turning it in either direction with the key out. Then when you put the key in, on position, and unlock the steering wheel by turning it.. the hyper flashing theft light went off and started no problem.
watch the whole video. he explains enough at the end. it worked for me. thank you. looks like a locking malfunction. I did this without a remote. lock the doors unlock them wait a minute repeat and they to start the car.
Thanks Mike. This worked for me. I had this issue from a battery running fully dead, then tried jumping it. Swapped battery, did what you said. Much appreciated.
Yo mane. This is definitely the most informative Video I have ever watched on You Tube in my life. Allow me to explain why. When I hopped into my Pony to go to the Club last night, it would not start. I had just parked it less that 24 hours before, but did notice my "Theft" warning light had begun blinking after I came out of my last stop at a store. Although I was able to make it home, the next morning my Theft Warning light was still blinking and my Pony would not start. Luckily, I am an Old School Pimp and I have five cars and two motorcycles and so I hopped into my Chevy Tahoe with the Twenty-Fo inch Lexani Rims and made it to the club anyway. But I was still worried about my Horse back at the Ranch (Ranch-style Mansion that is), and so the next day I went out and began the usual checking of the Fuses and Spark Plugs and all that. I even disconnected my Battery, but nothing worked. It was not until I found Mike Martinez's video did I finally have some luck at getting my Horse growling again. I cannot tell you how depressing it is when one of your rides is on the fritz and you don't know why, or how much time and money it is going to take to fix it. I bet there are thousands of people from the Pre-TH-cam days that probably went running to the Dealer or their nearest Automotive Shop and got Gangked for hundreds of dollars to have a professional reset their "Theft" Warning light. Thanks to Mike it cost me nothing but a few hours of searching on TH-cam. Thanks Mike. Keep up the nice work.
To be honest I was very pissed off watching your video until I got to the end and I actually understood what you were doing the one video and I meaning yours that you don’t say a word the whole video is the one that fix my car dude you’re a lifesaver I really appreciate that the only video through the whole Internet to fix my car I didn’t have the key fob I just left my key switch on 10 minutes
You're welcome it's the only video I uploaded and I have alot of positive reviews and alot of negative nancy's too... hope this video worked for you =)
I have a problem with my mustang first the keyless forgot the car so i need to reprogram it using the metod of turn on and off the key 8 times then the doors locked and unlocked now done that several times now use the same metod and the dors dont lock and unlock so i cant program the keyless remote, will this fix that also?
have a 2001 ford mustang today the theft light came on but i'm still able to start the car then light turns off, but when i take key out light turns back on would this still fix that problem?
i need help, i get in my 2003 ford mustang that i just bought yesterday and everything was fine with it than i got in it and tried to start it when i got it home after a couple of hours and it was slowly flashing Theft and it’s like the ignition is locked up, it won’t do anything but flash. how do i fix this myself?
Hey. So I got a 2004 mustang and I've done everything this video said. And I dont know if it's because we changed the switch because someone tried stealing it. But it wont start.
Found to be the superchip on the cpu caused the issues. The connection between the superchip and the cpu has ground down. Put a spacer in and now 2001 ford mustang gt 5.0 starts up normally. Issue found and fixed. 2 years of trouble shooting to find out it was the superchip the whole time.
Hey I have a 99 mustang and my red light plus theft light would stay on I got a new battery and the next day my car didnt turn on at all no lights no nothing. did it kill my battery or did the theft freeze my car? can you let me know thank you
Marvin Johnson ....if u want to walk around or skip rope feel free or even better just skip this video and go on to the next video nobody is forcing you to watch it in the first place...
What he’s doing is resetting it. Its reading the key but it takes that long to do it as a security feature. Like on an iPhone when you restart it and even though your the owner and use Touch ID it makes you enter your passcode.
That anti theft light goes on in my Mustang as well but my Mustang starts anyhow I do want to get rid of it how long do I leave the keys in in the ignition switch
Is this correct? . . . Step 1 - Turn key to on position Step 2 - Leave key on for 10 minutes (Flashing "THEFT" will go out) Step 3 - Pull key out lock and unlock doors Step 4 - Crank engine Step 5 - If doesn't start, pull key out lock and unlock doors Step 6 - Put in ignition and try again
About a year ago, I had issues with a dead battery, my emergency fuel shut off being tripped and a dead ignition. I think the security system killed the ignition, because of the battery. Today, the theft light came on, the alarm went ape shit and wouldn’t shut off with the fob and also disabled the ignition. I’m swapping the battery and going
MIGUEL TRUJILLO look go to dealership and buy the MUSTANG ANTI THEFT PATS TRANSCEIVER $25 and you could evade this problem and fuses crap its a 10 minute job i did it and havent had a problem since?
MIGUEL TRUJILLO......bro i didnt wana pay attention in the beginning but my friend told me its a common problem with this cars he work for ......Big valley ford...here in.... Stockton Ca .... so just go buy da part and you wont have to worry for a long time about this problem it a 25$ part im telling you becouse i bought it and i been everywhere without worrying?
MIGUEL TRUJILLO funny but at least like my video and hope my lil advice helped a lil bro i usually dont answer anyones questions but hope da video and my lil advice helped a lil bit have a good....Marry Christmas to you and your family. 😊
I really would like to see all those fools that only like to whine about what others do make a better video. At least he took his time to do it and guess what? It works👍👍 so instead of criticizing why don’t you make yourself useful instead of being a whiner
Okay so I tried this and it didnt work, probably because I dont have the original keys, I bout my 03 gt and the guy lost his keys and I put a new lock clynder in and it still won't work the theft light still flashes and it won't turn over, ive hotwired the starter and it turns over, anyone have any idea what on earth is goin on
I have a Ford Taurus x and my theft light goes on when I try to turn it on but my engine doesn't even click or try to turn on. My dash lights go on and so does my left blinker and radio . Any idea how to fix it?
So 10 minutes in the on position, then try steps 2 and 3? My car was wrecked and I got it repaired, but ever since I left the shop it keeps cutting off and I know there's nothing wrong with this car
My O2 GT would crank and not start. Theft light flashing continuously. CCRM buzzing continuously. This is a ground issue. Pull your battery and then you pull your battery holder. Beneath the holder you will find a two prong connection. Gray wire with white and gray wire with Green. Those become corroded very easy due to the moisture at that battery plate. Pull the connection tpark in either replace or clean. Problem solved.
I tried all these things and nothing worked for me so I took my car in the shop guys it was the transponder in the key you can't do it yourself it's going to set you back about 160 to $200 I suggest waiting till you get the car started and then drive it into the shop to save the tow bill I turned my car back to the accelerator position twice and then forward and got it to start to drive it up there
Mario Bernardini......well thats good to hear.....and like my video and im glad my video was a lil help to you and merry Christmas to you and your family...
It didn’t work please help I’ve tried everything my brother dropped his keyfob and it broke apart we put it back together. The car will start but immediately turn off after a few seconds
Solo que mueva la palanca de parking a reversa y de reversa a parking cundo no quiere prender y luego le das ensendido y prende eso es lo que ago yo te en el mío
Thank you for the video because this morning I was stuck in my driveway the anti-theft light came on and it would not go off and I did what your video said and the tilt of the steering wheel also and my car started right up so thank you for the video
Marvin Johnson, I think here is lot more to it than that. Didn't you notice all the loud crashing sounds? Or the sparrows twittering in the background? That has to be a part of it, otherwise, what was all that for??
I missed any steps I fell asleep waiting for the camera to move, then I thought he was showing it to sale it or actually looking for the thief that caused the theft light to fast flash
I had a pats issue.everyone said "oh you got to take that to ford to fix.welll,i searched till I was blue in the face for anything relating to my prob.couldn't find an answer anywhere.so,if someone has the following issue,i can tell you how I fixed mine.my key got to the point where you had to jiggle it,flip it back n forth qwik, then it would finally let go and allow the key switch to turn.well lo and behold.two days after I get my car.the key will not work.the keeper inside which inserting your key, disables, then allows switch to turn.mine was stuck.so I think,ok i'll change ingnition switch and key.so I look at how to do this.you must be able to put your switch into the run position.before you can remove the switch! so i'm like how the hell can I pull this off.i got out a drill.a large bit.i drilled the guts outta the tumbler and drilled heavily into the lower portion rear,of inner lock guts.to thin this area.to allow me to take a punch, and drive that check ball thing,up through the bottom of the casing I drilled against to weaken.see in the run position, there is an open spot, which this check ball slider fits up into.in non run position.that check ball release thing.has nowhere to go.so all that aside.i got switch out.well.i then removed the pats ring piece.which controls your key chip.i removed it from around ignition switch.put it behind console area.as long as that key is attached to the pats ring.hell I used a screwdriver to start the car and it fired right up.so one question I got answered.can one swap out ignition key switches without needing a expensive reprogram.yes.i just did that.ok,then theres only one side issue that occurs.but as long as you remove the key after shutting the car off each time.theres no issue with pats at all.but,if you turn car off, without then removing key, then go to start it right back up.the theft light flashes.simple reset.you only remove key from off of pats ring, and remove key switch at same time.then re-insert the old key to pats ring, and slide new key into ignition switch at same time.then turn key on and start.to check and be sure.you got both keys in place at the same time.turn your key switch to run position.theft light comes on two seconds then goes fully off if you insert keys correctly.if you didn't.the theft light will flash rapidly as you turn it to run position.sorry so long.hopefully easily understood.i had a heck of a time, but I learned something.and there is another reset you can do also if there is a different theft code involved.i figured out how to bypass two theft codes situations.one is a long blink followed by three fastblinks.to reset that.you have to insert new key in ignition and original key to the pats ring.doing this at the same time is a must.you know how you put your key in and your dinger goes off if your doors open.well, somehow the computer gets a signal telling it key has been inserted or removed.when I removed the key from the pats ring first.then removed the key from the ignition seconds later.this told the computer.there was a key in switch which was removed after the key was shown already removed because I took original from pats ring first.but once I figured a few things out.no prob bob.currently I had a key made.no chip.which I use to unlock doors and trunk.it matches the key I have affixed to the pats ring and stuffed neatly by my calf,in behind edge of console.then the new key I simply remove and take with me as if its the real key.as long as you don't try starting after shutting off, without removing the key.your golden.and like I said,if you do.its not to hard resetting and fixing again if you follow my above help.hope this info helps because I found nothing to help me figure mine out.aand the other flashing theft rapidly.this will also let you know if you inserted your keys in at around the same time.like I mentioned.initially.when resetting pats.to start, first step is inserting the key onto the pats ring, and new key into ignition simultaneously.if you get this right first whack.then your good.no more inserting keys same time.i may even go a step further.i would like to remove the pats chip from my old key.install it into new key.this way I can put the pats ring back into its factory position.and I will never have to worry about accidently restarting without first having removed key after shutting it off.if my chip was in new key.just like original.but,my question is.are each key somehow attached electronicallt to some sensor in each ignition switch?or is it just the key and pats ring which are connected? if keys only connected to pats ring, then no prob for me just to swap pats chips from kety to key.

Will running out of gas cause this?
Whats the dealership your friend works at?
That anti theft light goes on in my Mustang as well but my Mustang starts anyhow I do want to get rid of it how long do I leave the keys in in the ignition switch
Is this correct? . . .
Step 1 - Turn key to on position
Step 2 - Leave key on for 10 minutes
(Flashing "THEFT" will go out)

i had my steering wheel tilted up a little so i put back to my normal position and started right up must be a bad wire for me .
About a year ago, I had issues with a dead battery, my emergency fuel shut off being tripped and a dead ignition. I think the security system killed the ignition, because of the battery. My O2 GT would crank and not start. Theft light flashing continuously. CCRM buzzing continuously. This is a ground issue. Pull your battery and then you pull your battery holder. Thank you
Didn't work
Is this a silent picture. Cant really tell what the fuck was going on until the he bragged about fixing it.
One thing I noticed about my 2001 mustang is if u start the car before u close the door it will always start
Not mine
