Thank you so much 20 years after the car came out. I’m still having a problem but you finally fixed it and the chip is in the key not the fob I don’t even have a fob.
BRO!!! I have an 04 convertible. Same exact problem man. So obviously I don’t have the same speakers but I put em as close to the back speakers as I could, and it worked!!!!!!!! THANK YOU🙏🙏🙏🎊🎊🙌🙌
Np dude took me forever to figure it out and I was the first I could find on yt that did this but saved my ass many a time and a bit of money too I'm sure
I've also heard if u disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect it that could work and if all else fails check the connector peice under the battery holder sometimes it gets water in it and corrodes
I've got another fix for you guys if this one doesn't work. I have a 2004 mustang and last night the alarm kept going off and it wouldn't let me start my car, it would just make a click noise when I turned the key all the way, and then usually the power would go out. How I fix it was: you close the door and put the key in the ignition (you may have to turn it one click and put your car in neutral, you may not) and then you turn your key until the dashboard lights up. Then, quickly, you turn the key up and down to turn the dashboard lights on and off 8 (for some its 12) times. You have to do this in 8 seconds or less. After you turned it off and on 8 times you leave the key turned so that the dashboard is lit up and you press the unlock button on your key fab. Then voila the antitheft system is turned off and your engine will start. Hope this comment helps anyone!! If you have any questions or if it worked for you please leave a comment
That's the hard way to reprogram ur key fob it may temporarily stop the pats system but the problem will return... Chances are if ur dealing with a situation like this the tranceiver that reads the chip in ur key is intermittently failing... This tranceiver relays a radio frequency that is then sent to your pats module that authenticates the frequency and sends it to the pcm if this process Is operating properly anytime the key is in the ignition and rolled forward to the on or run position the pats system is disabled to the best of my knowledge
I'm going to try that, I have a 99 mustang GT, runs excellent and I only use it every now and then but I left it sitting for a month the battery went dead and I was just blinking that and I tried everything that I seen on TH-cam and nothing's working, but I've never tried this so hopefully it works
Unlock it and toss the original key fob and install a aftermarket alarm. The computer will detect that you have the right key and bypass the original car alarm system.. And should disable anti-theft when it goes through the boot processs ☺ usually on the second attempt to start.
Thats friggin crazy. My suggestion is change the battery in your key fob. Maybe thats why putting it next to a battery works and why the car thinks its being stolen part of the time. If its got a dead battery, it may not be registering the fob. I dont know. Just a thought. Thanx for the video tho.

I was having the same exact issue as you last night. I tried a bunch of different things for like 3 hours stuck in a parking lot. What ended up working for me is while the alarm is still going off you turn the key so that the dashboard lights up and then turn it back so that it turns off. You do that really quickly 8 (or for some people 12) times under 8 seconds and then you press the unlock button on your key fab and then there you go. It turns off the antitheft and allows you to start your engine. Hi , sorry to say but this idea di not work I have a convertible which means no back speakers they are on the sides of the back seat compartment. So this idea when tried didn't work. I hate to tell everyone that says it worked for them, that fob has NOTHING to do with car starting. The chip that the transceiver reads is inside the key
@@bigblackearl6852 ya thats why someone can lose their fob and the car still start. I tried that. Heard it works for some. Didn't work in my case. The 10 minute wait did a few times but other than that this was the only thing that got mine running
I will also mention mine was an 01 v6 base model automatic
Just a quick detail, on my '02, even when car is locked, the door unlocks and opens when door is opened from the inside. Does that mess up the sequence? Being as you lock the car when you're inside, then go outside and unlock it?
I was driving when it turned off all of a sudden. I’m pretty sure we have the same problem
Could be. For me though the car was fine while moving only would do it after I shut it off and try to start it again it happened allot but not Everytime but lmk how my method goes it worked Everytime for me
I have a 97 gt (sn95) and it cut off while driving, went to turn on theft light flashing, tried the speaker trick but no luck.
@@sk8kidd11 did you ever find out what the problem was? Mine did the same thing, cut out of me in the middle of driving and theft light kept blinking
@@inquire7148 yea it ended up being the fuel pump fuse in the bay, the 20 amp, but it kept popping the fuse so i had to trace what wire was fucking it up and my o2 sensors were hanging/melted together at the h/xpipe causing it to surge/short out
@@inquire7148 any luck?
Ive been pulling fuses for 2 hours. Clicks only.
What if you don’t have a key fob.
Someone else asked that before I think. I dont really know man try with just the regular key I geuss
Anybody know what to do if you don’t have a key fob lol
U can try just the key idk if it would work or not but nobody ever replies to me as to whether it does or not
open trunk look on the left closest to you inside you will see fuel cutoff switch
Your problem is in the key itself, probably the chip inside went bad
I got a 2000 gt. Never had that problem. Also never use the fob. Interesting though
problem is my car doesn't crank, what now? battery is just fine
Im not sure man but i pinned u so hopefully someone does
@@bigblackearl6852 thanks
@@gunna9289 np man gl with it
@@bigblackearl6852 welp, it somehow fixed itself 😅. Key FOB must've decided not to be recognized at first
@@gunna9289 hey thats awesome man have fun on ur drive ima unpin u though no offense or nothing but just leaves more space for people who still need other solutions
So I’ve had this problem on a 98 dropped my key it broke the glass that’s right I said glass chip in the key I had to get two reprogrammed for 150 in the situation I have now a 1999 the car has been sitting for well over a year but from watching this video I believe that the magnets on the speaker may have actually charged the copper wrapped in glass I will definitely be trying this tomorrow and if it works it will be very interesting a strong enough magnet would charge it for a longer period of time if this is the case the key fob simply controls the doors trunk alarm will not deactivated pats
oMG bro. I'm definitely looking into this. Some times you get lucky reading in the comment section looking for info .
Change the battery in the key fob
Tried that but it didn’t fix it
fuel cutoff switch
I didn't know there was one as I no longer I own the car I'll take ur word for it thx man
@@bigblackearl6852 RIGHT SIDE KICK PANEL IF IS ONE THEN PUT SOME IN BACK OF BUT WITH NOT MAKE THEFT LIGHT FLASH
What about it? I replaced my fuel cap. Now it always says check fuel cap. Ugh
Now theft blinking and car won’t start.
You really need the maid to clean the floor.
You simply have to line the steering wheel up and turn key, you’ll feel the steering wheel unlock
I don’t think it’s the fob man I think it’s the Key
Carry a magnet in your pocket I guess. Just not the same as your phone 😁
Hey so mine blinks and when I start it it goes but won’t go over 30
Shit man that seems like a fuel management issue or a vacuum leak but im not sure im definitely not a mechanic but I would get that looked at
how told you too do that ,funny .EARL
You activated anti-theft by hitting the lock.
Maybe on the video but in real life I don't hjt lock when I try to start it and it still had this problem sometimes it would start other times it wouldn't and it was annoying af but this worked for me everytime for as long as I owned the car
What works for me is just turning the key before I put it is
dang need to bust out the old broom
Thats true before I got the job I had at the time I was just gettin stoned and I'd vacuum once every 6 months or so I was never home after that i had another job I'd barely sleep but I've moved since
I thought I might have to buy a new anti theft transceiver, where the key goes has that ever worked for anybody, I really need My new edge to go.
I changed my transceiver but still no luck. Got it on Amazon for like $ 35 was hoping it would resolve the issue but still the same thing. Car won't start. :(
Ford's sux never have another one. After 2000
Bachelor pad or just a dirty house
Fuck you will but yea just dirty house man lol
Jerry reed
Made some good music
I hate to tell everyone that says it worked for them, that fob has NOTHING to do with car starting. The chip that the transceiver reads is inside the key
I didnt know if it was the key or the fob i geuss its just the key on the speaker but it does seem to work for some of us
@@bigblackearl6852 ya thats why someone can lose their fob and the car still start. The transponder that is "energized" once key is turned on is read by the transceiver around the ignition and sends a signal to the pcm saying what the key ID is and the pcm says ok this ID is programmed to start or no it's not
@@thekeyman2372does this method work or not
@@trinbryant5557 no absolutely not

Dude, clean your house. The fact that this works for you, is either a hoax, or you're just getting lucky.
Then I'm gettin lucky af I wrecked the car now but It always worked for me
