  • Here is my description for the Current Marine Orbit LED light review. This is a color changing LED light made by Current USA. It is designed for use with lower end corals such as soft corals, and LPS (large polyp stony) corals. It could be used with some of the low-light demanding SPS (small polyp stony) corals; however, I personally would not recommend it for that use.
    All-in-all I would rate this color-changing light with 4.5 stars. Watch the video to find out why!

    Are your corals doing well? I had some die and not sure why. Is this light ok to grow soft corals?

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      My tank crashed due to me getting behind on my water changes and the salinity / alkalinity got way off.
      As for the light, check the PAR needs of your specific softies. Some need different PAR than others.

    How is the spectrum 380 when it has no uv or violet? Is that from the white I wonder or just BS. i really want to get the duo special they have now that comes with mounts and way cheaper than fluvals sea but Fluval sea has violet. I hear corals need that for chlorophyll a and for growth and florescence. If only i had more than 4 1/2 inches of space from top of tank to bottom of kitchen cabinents then I wouldn't go with either! I think I can bend the ai prime to work sense 12 mount is bendable but going to have crazy hot spot that low than low par away from hot spot so very uneven and not sure if that conducive for coral growth

      From what I understand they are RGBW diodes so maybe it's from a combination.

    What spectrum do you have the colors set at during day time?

    • @ZokomoTV

      Thank you for your question!
      Currently my Red, Green, and Blue are set at 60; my White is set at 55.
      I'll likely increase all of these as I've seen minimal coral growth lately.

      @@ZokomoTV these are horrible lights lost my gbta due to low light running two and even my soft coral are struggling

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that. This light isn't really good for bubble tips, the PAR it gives out is just too low.
      What kind of softies do you have?

      @@ZokomoTV the basics, green star polyps, pulsing xenia,and sadly a very rare ricordea mushroom that I spent 100$ on and it shrunk. Now I'm planning on buying two viparspectras for par and spectrum

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's weird.
      I will say a jawbreaker I have has shrunken, I thought that has been due to the diatom bloom I've been fighting since my blenny died.
      Let me know what your PAR readings say. Do you run carbon?

      I had a tank crash a couple months afterwards due to a multiple of factors and sadly lost almost all my coral.

    Can you operate moon light all night

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not in the automated setting given the pre-sets. You can hit the moon button and it could stay that way 24/7.
      Though, with the newer wifi controllers you might have custom inputs. It'd be good to ask their customer service on that.

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
