- Cole Bennett came up with the idea for Lyrical Lemonade while still in High School. Through his talk, he walks through what it took to grow Lyrical Lemonade into what it is today along with how he navigated the music world. His talk emphasizes why having a passion for what you do can change the game and bring you success no matter the obstacle. As CEO of Lyrical Lemonade, Cole Bennett has produced some of hip hop’s most viewed videos. Entrepreneur Cole Bennett is not afraid to confront risks to move ideas and creative expression forward. Growing up in Plano IL, Cole enjoyed bringing ideas to life. Whether, creating comics or making skits with friends, he always loved to create. At 17 years old and a senior in high school, Cole produced his first music video. Discovering this deep passion, he founded Lyrical Lemonade while still in high school. After graduation, Cole moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University and further chase his dreams for Lyrical Lemonade. Cole’s dreams quickly became an undeniable reality that led him to dropout of college. His imprint, Lyrical Lemonade, is now a multi-faceted company that specializes in visual content, live events, high demand merchandise and more. At the age of 22, Cole has now directed over 300 music videos for some of the most influential artists that have amassed over 2.8 billion views. Cole has been featured in major publications such as Rolling Stone, Forbes, XXL, and Billboard Magazine. As the Summer approaches, Bennett is exploring another adventure - preparing to enter the beverage business with his very own lemonade. The lemonade launch is just in time for the second annual Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, a hip hop music festival expected to bring together 20,000 people in Douglas Park, Chicago. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
Mad respect for giving Mac a moment of silence
Rip
kinda weird actually, what does that do? hes still dead, and not like he gets to see that
No it was wack, what a cornhole virtue signalling moment.
J. V don’t feed them attention
"paying respect" isn't real dude, people only do that so they feel like theyre a good person. I studied this in college, psycology on humans response to tragedy.@J. V
@J. V notice how all these people are saying "respect to Cole for the moment of silence for mac", do you not realise whats actually happening??? cole knows mac fans would say that, so he did It for that reason cause it makes him feel like hes a good person, and he knows others will view him as such. that may not have been his direct intentions but underneath that's whats actually happening
Okay but what if Cole Bennett directed this?
The VHS Guy this needs to happen lmao
Plot twist 🤫😂😂😂😂

They’re like jandals but for guys... not good.

Grades aren't everything! Your right bro!
Grades aren't everything but that is in fact one of his earlier big accomplishments because he broke away from being a B grade type student and passed with honors. He was very proud to say it also so why not applaud it?

Cold:Im about to ends this mans career
I'd never heard of him but I was intrigued so I watched this when I fell down the rabbit hole of binge watching Ted talks. He has such a nice nature, he seems really sincere and he talks complete sense. No ego, just honesty and it makes his talk so much more powerful to listen to. He comes over as just an ordinary guy who achieved his dreams and now talks really modestly about it, admitting how hard he worked and the determination and sacrifice it took to get there. Amazing talk that really struck something within me.
"sometimes there's no way to solve the problem, and that's part of the problem solving"

Cole is so important to rap culture. He’s broken artist like Lil Xan, Juice Wrld, Lil Skies, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp.. and more. He’s the real goat
And to think, the culture would be so different if he had decided to listen to that one kid in high school. Butterfly effect

I first discovered Cole back when he only had 1500 subscribers. I knew this kid was speical. The way he edited videos differently. I directed/edited music videos too and was inspired by his work. But, then I saw him brand himself. From how he got all these chicago rappers to host their videos on his channel only. I just couldn't understand how he convinced them. I saw his vision from the get go and knew this kid is going to blow up. A couple years later. Millions of subscribers. Millions of views. A brand. So young. This kid is a genius to be able to orchestrate all this together and execute. He was dropping videos faster than I can shoot and import the files on my computer. This kid is going to be great and go even further in life than just lyrical lemonade. He's only in his 20's. Watch when hes in his 30's or 40's The resources, the branding, the networking, the connections he has built and just a genuine, honest person. No doubt in my mind this kid will be a billionaire someday.
