Looks good. I’m on 19x10.5 and I agree that the 19s fit the arch in the wheel wells better than 18’s. And it just seemed weird to go smaller than what came stock. But some 18’s look great and some 18’s look too big. I think the wheel design and car setup makes a big difference.
I think both 18 and 19 work well on this body. You are totally right in that the wheel design has a lot to do with this. Wheels with a lip tend to look smaller, for example.
BEAUTIFUL brother!!! That car and those wheels look phenomenal!!! I am wheel shopping right now for my 2019 Civic Type R in Sonic Blue Pearl!! It’s a hard decision to make!!! I look forward to more of your videos!! God bless ya!!
You’re welcome!! I haven’t looked at the Gram lights 57 transcend but I will definitely check them out!!! Thank you for the response , I really appreciate it!! Have a great week and God bless!!
I have these in 18” bronze. My tires are 245/45 tho. People ask all the time if I’m on coil overs 🤣 I’m not. The fitment is just prefect, but since I do have bigger tires than you, I have a little more poke but 🤷🏻♂️
Lovin the wheels! Especially the #Gold. Thinking about getting a set of these on my 18 STI. Pretty sure I won't have any fitment issues on a stock suspension?
Lovely wheels buddy 👍 quick question, the 2019 STI gets forged pistons, does it get any other upgrade in the engine compared to the 2018 model? Cheers 👍
Not forged but revised and stronger pistons based on my understanding. There are changes to ECU that improve the power curve and a higher flow exhaust system as well.
Bad ass wheels my man! I live in Miami myself and just picked up a 2019 STI. Any hangouts that you go to? I’m in my 30’s and I have no clue where people hangout at these days
Good car choice ;) I couldn't tell you where people hang out these days either, those days are behind me. Hanging out = dinner and drinks with wife these days for me, lol. If you are asking about car meets, I would suggest joining the Soflo Subies group on Facebook to start with if you haven't already. There are weekly meets and other events announced there all the time. Checkout my video on the annual cruise if you want to see the last big one we had in December.
Have they cracked yet? I have the same ones but they ended up cracking and ended up having a flat tire lol same thing happened with someone else I knew
looks cool.. i ordered mine after watching ur video got the grey one...hahahaha.. are u sure i can use my stock tire even the wheels are wider than the stock one?
Good choice. You can absolutely use the stock 245/35/19 tires. 245mm is actually 9.6 inches wide. In fact, every other STI I know with these wheels is running a 245/35 tire.
Stock suspension and everything? I'm looking for a similar set up. 19x9.5 +35/+40. Stock suspension but needed to do research any feedback would be appreciated!
I had lowering springs in this video and have switched to full coilover suspension since then. You can still run that spec wheel with stock suspension if you wanted without issues. You would just have a bit of poke due to the +35 offset, especially in the front. No issues with +40 at all on stock suspension.
I have not found official Subaru specs on this, but according to a forum post by Racecomp Engineering the 19" STI wheels weigh 28.4lb each. That makes me think I have the math wrong as I would be saving 1.7lbs per corner instead of the 3lbs I mention in the video. Still saving weigh though ;)
NoGaragE30 thank you for replying, thinking about getting a Sti. But everyone be hating on 19” but I think they look great. So it’s nice to see you take a different route than the mainstream view.
@@NoGaragE30 or maybe at the engine bay. We dont have that color here in our country. I have a bug eye and i want to have it repainted the same color as the series gray but need the code. So... anybody???
No spacers here. These are 9.5" wide with a +35 offset which give you this fitment on this chassis. As I always like to say, if you need spacers you got the wrong wheels.
NoGaragE30 Hello...Congratulations on your wheels they looks awesome. I ordered Work Emotion M8R 19X9.5 +38 and everyone is telling me that tires 245/35/19 gonna rub against the fenders ? But I’ve seen few cars already on stock suspension with same set up s and no one is saying anything ? Is there a trick to that ? Have a safer option to order same wheels with 19X8.5 +38 but not sure if is going to look good ? Stock STi wheels are 19X8.5 and there is nothing to be excited about this😉 so many different opinion on this ? What’s your take on this or anyone reading my comment ? Kindly thank you for any, but good advice... Cheers. Mike
@@NoGaragE30 i have some concern, i have those wheels but 18", 18x9.5 +35, 255/40, i just get some coilovers, and not sure if is going to rub something, or should i get another smaller tires, 245 35 for example,
I run a 245/35 tire on these 19s and have no rubbing issues. A 255 tire on my setup would rub for sure. I did not modify my fenders in any way but I have the car aligned accordingly. My car is low to where I have no wheel gap but I can still drive aggresively if I wanted to without concerns. With passengers I would see a slight rub but I rarely have anyone in the car with me so I dont care about that. Because of the +35 offset the 9.5 wheel will already poke out past the fenders and the 255 tire will limit how low you can go, the 40 aspect ratio will only make matters worse. If you want to eliminate the wheel gap or go lower you will likely need negative camber and/or fender mods to clear.
That depends on desired fitment. 245 was the widest I could run with the setup I ended up with. Nothing to do with cost, which is insignificant between a 245 and 255 anyways.
@@Quin619 Correct. Stretching the tire is exactly what Im doing for the setup I was running. Hence my comment on "desired fitment." This car was later running on coilovers at a very low height with the +35 wheel offset. You would not be able to do that with a 255 without rubbing or fender modifications.
I like how the gold face w/machine lip plays off the lighter color. The lip helps carry the car color into the wheel and it works well.
"The lip helps carry the car color into the wheel" That is a interesting observation. Thanks!
@@NoGaragE30 ...yes, from certain angles
Good choice. I've been running on 19s for the past 3 years. Just ordered a new 19s set too. 👍👍
Beautiful. I prefer the 18s because I like more rubber under the car. Just feels better to me but this car looks great man!
Nice car. I did the same. I got Konig ultraform 19x8.5 offset 35 in gold. I used the original tires and stock suspension.
Jose Guevara I was looking at these. How are you liking them?

looks amazing, what would it be like on a stock ride height car? I think those would look great on my pearl white STI
Awesome! I've got a 2010 STI in black. Just bought some wheels very similar to these, the gold Forum Zeus in 18 x 9.5 +35
Car is gorgeous.

I wanted the wider wheels and I rather not use spacers.

Absolutely no issues with over 13K miles on the wheels. Have you contacted them about this? They have a good wheel replacement program.

Maybe the 24 lbs is for the forged Type RA wheels?

Beautiful new rims. Not sure I like the color combination, I think black would of looked better. But that's just an opinion.

56.1mm ID to 73.1mm OD
Is this car lowered or the wheels make it look lowered?
