Oh be still my heart! Bulky yarn at a reasonable price I must be dreaming. I watch your videos in the morning usually so I can start my day with a chuckle. Yep I’ll keep watching for the word to purchase said yard.
Jennifer you are too funny. Good news you are willing to let go, and the the better news is your followers will love to help you destash your yarn through mystery boxes. Thank you for making me laugh and smile...best medicine ever.
jen you really have no clue how you have helped me, over the last year i have had a lot of deaths of dear friends and my beloved little dog , because of all this i have had severe bouts of depression and listening to you each dau has helped m e greatly and i so appreciate it, i am doing better and have a bery close friend who is suffering because of a series of strokes and i love mystery boxers of yarn
I found so much yarn in my stash that i knew i wouldn't use ,started clearing out last year. Now i buy yarn for the projects i make, shawls, baby hats and baby blankets for charity. i love looking at my yarn stash and knowing i will use everything in it.
Oh yes, I love mystery boxes!!! I love bulky yarns, cotton, and cakes!!! You are a kindred spirit, I have LOTS of yarn sitting on shelves...but also have plans to make all the presents this year!!
You had some good advice about hoarding yarn. I’m pretty sure I need to do a clean out of yarn myself. I don’t have room to store much but I’m always seeing new yarn I want. I really have to work on that. I hope you feel better soon. 💜🙏🏻
Just think.....yarn lovers will be the only ones content during a snow storm....lol....I never was a horder until I was living by myself.....and I had 2 empty rooms....still I can't resist cotton yarn for my bags....rock on ...good luck in your quest 😀 👍
You know one of the reasons I like to watch your videos is because your so honest. I definitely need to let some yarn go I really liked it when I bought it but it’s overwhelming now almost like I’m overwhelmed and don’t know what projects to even start. But it’s just like my clothes I’ve been meaning to donate to the local places but to go through the clothes is overwhelming. Between yarn and clothes and shoes I’m running out of room and I don’t want to buy more plastic tubs. It’s time to let go so people that need this stuff can use it. It’s nice to hear other people going through the same stuff it almost helps me cuz maybe I’ll get organized enough to let go and not hold onto things so tightly because at the end of the day it’s not that stuff that matters it’s family and friends and memories I make with them that matters most. Thank you for this video.
1: Don’t double and triple stack your yarn 2: Don’t hide yarn from your husband 3: Don’t lie about hiding your yarn 4: Don’t stack yarn behind books 5: Don’t go crazy during clearance sales 😂 😂 😂 This girl is currently hoarding Hobby Lobby Sugarwheel cotton for hexagons and loving those .49 cent minis I hoarded last clearance haul 😆
Oh honey I graduated from using big plastic tubs quite a while ago. I now use the big plastic bags that you can suction and seal. I can spend a couple of days going through my yarn and I usually find something beautiful that I pull and have to make something. I love cotton and bamboo use it for bath mats, dishcloths, hot pads love mixing in different colors. It is some of the things that I know my kids will use when I am gone.
I would be interested in a mystery box, I have 18 grandkids that want blankets. I love watching you. You make me laugh 😂. I have so many things in common with you. Watching your videos always brighten my day. Thanks!!
Yes, we who were deprived as young ones, save and collect and hoard everything. I think you have a good handle on the why, and now you can let go. ♥️♥️♥️
I just love your sense of humour! I understand getting too much of whatever because, well, I just have to get this now, I mean, What if they don't have any more later, and It's on sale/clearance/at the second-hand store! Those of us who did without as a child or had a parent who made us give up things before we were ready to let them go have a tendency to "collect" things. And it can be sooo hard to let things go! I applaud you for finding the ability to do it. I wish you Peace ☮ & Love ❤. 🙏🏻 🕉 ~ Carolyn 🌺
I call it brutal words of wisdom!!! I am sure those mystery boxes will go fast, they will be a nice addition to other peoples stash. Speaking of stash...I am hoping to use so much of mine that I panic a lil bit!! Hope you feel better, love to you and yours.
Lol...I too, am a yarn hoarder! I cleaned out two drawers in my file cabinet and filed them with yarn. I have clear totes to the ceiling above my husband's gun cabinet. Colored totes stacked in the floor. At least i have it all in one room, my office. That way I am surrounded by my stash all day! Ya, and I need to get rid of some too. My tastes have changed and even the yarn content I prefer. Time to purge! Oh, i need a lamp too! Lol
I agree with the feeling of being deprived at a young age leading to hoarding of thing’s. I’m trying my best to not do this, but the things take over your space at a point and you have to get rid of them. The key is to not keep adding more thing’s. Vicious cycle for sure. I love your suggestions for storing yarn and I’m going to utilize some of them. My daughter and I are organizing several areas this weekend and this was perfect timing for me. Mystery boxes definitely is a great idea for you to get rid of excess yarn you won’t be using. Yes, donating is wonderful too but selling mystery boxes will help you with your business and being able to continue to educate your viewers.
Hi Jennifer I am a yarn hoarder and I am not ashamed to say it and I would love to have more yarn, mystery boxes are my favorite, so yes I am very interested in mystery boxes 📦 😊. I also want you to know that there are more of us who can identify with everything you have said to us, and I am quite older than you, and I had to allow myself to heal and let go of things I had no control of in my childhood growing up poor and once I did that I have never felt so free, but it hasn't cured my hoarding that will be another thing to overcome and I am in no hurry cause I like hoarding crafts, I'm never bored I can always find something to do even if it's just sitting in the basement and looking through everything I have. Not to mention my granddaughters love to do crafts with me and they want to learn to crochet and then I will have someone to share with. And oh yeah I have 11 granddaughters between the ages of 25 and 2 years of age. 🤗😊🥰😍❤️
I have to laugh when this video started i had to plug in my ear phones so my partner could not hear you!!!! I have a very small house and 6 people in it and i offically have a yarn buying problem.... yesterday I had to put away more yarn and I put it in the linen cupboard..... my partner came across it and was not very please and said he was going to get me a craft shed...... today he comes home with one!! once its put together Iam going to be set and have been told already no more then one tote in the house lol ;-P
Spring cleaning/declutter is contagious! Thank you for the encouragement! I save things I don’t need and tend towards the clutter side of things. Finding things easier is a great goal!
Lol, I've needed your videos in my life!!! You are hilarious, and I wish I could buy some yarn from you, but we're having a hard time right now. But I look forward to your videos and tutorials. And I know exactly what your talking about , my family didn't have alot of money either. I came from a big family, so alot of hand-me-downs. So when you did get something new you hid it from others so it didn't get broke, or you didn't use it because it was to pretty and you wanted to keep it looking that way. But thank God I have pretty much worked alot of that out. I still have some clothes of my Grandma who I was very close to. I can't seem to throw them out,it breaks my heart every time I think I can and can't!! Thank God my husband understands that. Baby steps right. So far I have not started holding yarn, I do have some in beens, but they are yarns that I am trying to collect for sertain blankets, but can't afford to buy the yarns needed in one fell swoop. I Hope your Family has a blessed Easter!!!
When I moved 4 years ago, I took 4 skeins of yarn with me. I had just lost my husband and suddenly being alone after 42 years of marriage, I started buying yarn as my grief therapy. It made me feel better and suddenly I had over 500 skeins. I did give away/donate over 300+ last year and still have way too much, so this year I am using up my stash and not buying any more. Thanks for your tips.
Thanks for the video and the tips. I sure hope you feel better soon. I watch all your videos since I found out about this yarn community. I love unboxing and always wish I could get the yarn. Anyone have a nice day.
I would love to be included in your mystery box selections! I don't yarn hoard either. I do have a good stash going because I thought, lol I needed a yarn stash I have given my yarn to lots of people. I am a giver that's what I do. Love you Jennifer 😍 you are such an awesome person!
I so enjoyed this video had me laughing. Lots of great tips of do's and don'ts. Yes, mystery boxes are great. Tried to get something when you purged the closet of makes. Everything sold so fast. Blessed day to you all. 🦜
Yes to mystery boxes, but I'm sure you'll sell out before I can buy. 1 or 2...💜 thanks for reminding us not to buy too much yarn ... Unless it's from our favorite TH-camr!
My mom had sooooo much nick-nacs and when she passed, oh my goodness. I have N elephant collection. I feel sorry for my kids when I pass on. Yes, o would be very interested in a mystery box🥰 Allergies are awful this year, hope you feel better soon 💙 ❤ 😊
I have a lot of yarn and I know that I will probably die before I get it all used up. I used to sew a lot and we always said that whoever had the most material when they died was the winner, now I say that the one with the most yarn wins. Win what I am not sure, but I do love to get more yarn and mystery boxes are like having Christmas. Hope you feel better.
You are funny, so it’s just another normal day in Va. ha, ha. I think everyone is hoarder, maybe yarn, junk, toilet paper, food whatever. Nothing unusual about you Jen. You are amusing so keep up the really good videos.
Yes!! I am interested in a mystery box! I was doing good until a friend gave me over 4 garbage bags of yarn! I'm making scrapgans and scrap baskets, but I know I have more than I need or can possibly use (yes, I bought extra totes to store them in). Goodwill donations are in my future.
Fun video and thanks for splainin the ending/memory stuff. I have a real problem with the letting go as well, coming from a somewhat poor time in my childhood. Fortunately, as street kids (10 and 11 year olds) in a capital city, we had no real idea we were neglected. I have a brother who was always thinking of cool things to do.... garlic toast in my 2nd hand Easy Bake oven..... getting a watermelon from the neighbors garden and cutting it up in the garage with his pocket knife... eating it till our sides hurt... was wonderful then, but lookin back, we were lucky we didn't get grabbed or seriously hurt on our own. I did a yarn purge 2 years ago and gave some big boxes to the neighbor and her mom-in-law. I did learn in that process to get smaller skeins in other colors as I do a lot of amigurumi in the rainy winter months here in WA state. The $1.25 Dollar stores come in handy, as well as the Hobby Lobby small skein section.😁 I did just get 2 clear totes for the acrylic to separate from the cotton (which periodically hurts my hands with the drag). I do have a few hanks, now wound into cakes, some alpaca for a bunny I made I'll put in smaller tote. Oh but wait for it.... I have a spare room filled with papercrafting stuff I need to purge as well... been thinking of adding cubes in there to put the yarn in there from my bedroom corner.... where I store my bicycle suff for the fall/winter... ENOUGH... I am sure you're thinkin. Back to my turquoise/green brown speckled shawl (I had emailed you pictures) that you helped me think of another 2 stitch types for. THANK YOU! Be well dear yarniful friend! ang 👩🦳🇺🇸
I would definitely love to help you out with taking some of your beautiful mystery boxes off your hands to make more room for new yarns to show us 🥰 😍 ❤💕 you are amazing Jennifer 👏 btw I have been eyeing that gorgeous dress on Broomhilda for days now! Absolutely love it 🥰💕❤🌈 I have an idea 💡 about the knit/cro books 📚 you could always include a book or 2 in each mystery box 📦 you sell to downsize your pile !! 😉💕 feel better 😇 🙏
Definitely interested in mystery boxes. What a treasure that would be. I'm not a yarn hoarder. Yes yes I have lots of yarn but I use many many skeins up and then replace them with new colors or types of yarn. Since Jan this year I've made 6 very large blankets and several sweaters and 2 cardigans. I used to have friends say I hoard yarn until I started saving ball band. This year I've used 83 aliens so far. No one picks anymore. I buy all my yarn and supplies. So to those that tease I say "I pay I say. "My money goes for crafting thiers may go toward movies dinners out or vacations. To each our own. Lol
Hi ☺️👋 my name is nora and i am yarnaddicted but on a budget i buy when I saved enough to buy what I like with a specific purpose and your recommendations sorry i am addicted to you can i be your friend? Yes please to mystery boxes from you thank you Nora
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in things we think we need. I know exactly what you are feeling. I am sure there are a lot more of us. I also took boxes of yarn to the church for others. I am glad to hear you are really thinking of your well being. Take care.
OMG it's like we're twins as far as our yarn goes! I've started getting rid of the stuff I will never use, now that I've been exposed to better yarn. It's a slow, scary process, but I'm trying!
Yarn hoarders say the same things about their yarn stash. Thanks for sharing and hope you feel better.
I have NEVER uttered the words “ Down size my stash”. NO! Hersey! It is my goal to work with all yarn weights so I can’t be giving away my yarn 😂
I would love to buy a mystery box. I just became disabled and crocheting helps take my mind off the pain. I love the multi color cakes.
Oh be still my heart! Bulky yarn at a reasonable price I must be dreaming.
I watch your videos in the morning usually so I can start my day with a chuckle.
Yep I’ll keep watching for the word to purchase said yard.
Love you saying "don't watch all my videos " and my 1st thought was too late 😂😂😂
Jennifer you are too funny. Good news you are willing to let go, and the the better news is your followers will love to help you destash your yarn through mystery boxes. Thank you for making me laugh and smile...best medicine ever.

Hi Jennifer, yes on the mystery boxes. Hope you feel better fast. Take care of yourself
Such a fun video, thank you 😊 Deals are so difficult to resist 🤣🤣🤣
I have never purchased mystery boxes. It sounds like so much fun!!!

OM yes please on those mystery boxes!! One can never have too much yarn...😁
Great tips.. For anything hoarded. I've had books like that, and I'm getting there with yarn.
Spring cleaning/declutter is contagious! Thank you for the encouragement! I save things I don’t need and tend towards the clutter side of things. Finding things easier is a great goal!
I do wish to purchase any surprise boxes you may have to offer. What a great way to clear out the clutter! Thank you for the opportunity.
Yes to mystery box, I love a good stash of yarn and will use it.

Yes I would love a box from you .
I have a lot of yarn and I know that I will probably die before I get it all used up. I am a yarn holder but I am glad some of it is a year or more old because now food is so expensive I can use it up .
I did a yarn purge 2 years ago and gave some big boxes to the neighbor and her mom-in-law. I did learn in that process to get smaller skeins in other colors as I do a lot of amigurumi in the rainy winter months here in WA state. The $1.25 Dollar stores come in handy, as well as the Hobby Lobby small skein section.😁
I did just get 2 clear totes for the acrylic to separate from the cotton (which periodically hurts my hands with the drag). Back to my turquoise/green brown speckled shawl (I had emailed you pictures) that you helped me think of another 2 stitch types for. THANK YOU! Be well dear yarniful friend! ang 👩🦳🇺🇸

Yes, I'm interested in your mystery boxes.
Yes to the mystery boxes! It would be nice to get my hands on yarn I've never used or don't have access to.

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in things we think we need. I know exactly what you are feeling. I am sure there are a lot more of us. I also took boxes of yarn to the church for others. I am glad to hear you are really thinking of your well being. Take care.
I would love a mystery box yes indeed
I hope you are now feeling better! I totally know what you mean by too much yarn or do I!🤔😊🧶
Yes on the mystery box. 🐰🐰🐰
hi Jennifer, I'm a yarn hoarder, but I love mystery boxes and bulky to🙂
OMG it's like we're twins as far as our yarn goes! I've started getting rid of the stuff I will never use, now that I've been exposed to better yarn. It's a slow, scary process, but I'm trying!
