Jennifer, thank you for giving me something to look forward to each morning. My life has been very sad and awful this past week, and watching your channel every morning gives me a break from all that is happening at our house. Being a mom and grandmother, I have a lot of special people in my life. Last week, one of them suddenly went to heaven, leaving a huge hole in my heart. So hug your loved ones and never take them for granted. Another day is not guaranteed.
I lost my husband the day after Christmas, 11 years ago, and my daughter, Sept. 28, 2 years ago. If I hadn't have had my crochet and knitting to keep my mind occupied, it would have been even harder to get out of bed. I focused on making things and giving them away to loved ones and friends, because that gives me a warm feeling, and helps fill the void in my heart.

I loved collecting rocks! Excited to see your creations! I agree about cardigans and sleeves. I have big girl bat wings but like my sleeves to be tapered and rest just above the knuckles but like I like to be able to push the sleeve up a bit and have it stay in place.

I fostered kittens. They were always needing to go to the vet after I got them. And it wasn’t my vet two blocks away…..I get it. And I couldn’t run a shelter because I would want to keep way too many dogs and cats 😂😂😂

What I would like to see made is Christmas snowflakes in metal rings. Maybe 6 inches or 8 inches wide. I love thread snowflakes but with the rings it can be made with 3 weight yarn or 4 weight yarn. And then I wouldn’t need to stiffen them and pin them down and wait for them to dry… I had back pain all of last spring and into the summer. I don’t know why but probably a combination of work and an auto immune disease I have. I didn’t understand why I didn’t have any energy but one day after I had two days off it just went away. I’m wishing that on you!

While I would generally encourage a new puppy owner to wait to neuter/spay a puppy (their bodies won't work the way nature intended, so I can't bring myself to refer to it as "fixing" them...), I also support shelters taking care of it before they're adopted to ensure that it actually DOES get done. I think - in the long run - it will be better for the puppies, the owners, and the shelters to have it done now. Bless you for your big heart, and thanks for the pupdate!
I want to make some lacey scarves, not the heavy kind that keep you toasty, but the kind to dress up tops. I don't want to work with yarn that is less than a 3 weight. I want be able to wear them all winter so they don't have to be Christmas scarves.

Hey Jen Sounds like the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing at the shelter! I get it that they have a lot of puppies, but that is a bit too much to be snippy when it's your organization that doesn't have it all to together! It's not hard to make sure of your information before confirming with a foster parent. I'm sorry but I had to giggle when you stated the puppies are pooping cotton balls lol I know it's not funny medically but that statement make me laugh lol. When you were talking about making things for Christmas you went through several things pretty quickly and my mind just went off on it's own into "and a partridge in a pear tree" lol Prayers for ya sweetie to feel better soon!! I have always had my puppies fixed cause 1. They are males and I’m not into seeing their 🥜 lol also 2. I am not wanting to have more puppies. I already tried the breeding I ended up with 12 puppies in a litter while working an 8 hour shift and 4 kids so yeah nope not again . My puppy I have now was fixed at 4 months old cause of 1. Issue but also he was a little bit wild it didn’t even help lol. He’s adorable and loves getting loves but he’s got so much energy and personality. He has plenty of room to run around. Sorry so long ❤😂

Puppies are like grandkids only they are more curious and they don't listen. But we love them cuz they are cute and they make us laugh.
