- Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric was Sega’s “attempt” to create a new branch of the Sonic IP, and if you know anything about this game, you know that it flopped HARD. Even ignoring the piss-poor technical state it was in, the game had terrible audio, repetitive gameplay, characters that were forgettable, and overall was just a miserable experience for many people. Personally, I remember enjoying this game when I was younger, but with my newfound knowledge of the internet and a recent replay, a lot of the flack this game gets shines brighter than ever. As for Charriii’s video, this one’s actually pretty decent. He got a fair bit right, and I even chuckled here and there. It’s not perfect, but it’s still somewhat enjoyable.

Since Charriii has yet to cover the 3DS games, I'll just speak my thoughts here. Shattered Crystal exists, and Fire and Ice is fine. How do you feel about them, assuming you even remember them?
I have no opinion on Shattered Crystal and Fire and Ice since I never played them, nor do I bother to watch the cutscenes.
Fire and Ice is definitely worth playing at least once
I haven't played any of the Boom games, see you on the Spookiest day of the year!
And while we're at it, I loved The Sonic.Exe bit at the end, id love to see how a video on that goes.

5:25 I think Charriii was simply sinning the fact that despite Sonic and Tails being trapped, they still gonna keep moving on ahead to hopefully meet up with Amy and Knuckles, and thus defeating the whole purpose of "being trapped"

Anyways, another Sonic game I never played because of the state I live in, and I don't think I wish to based on people's comments, the playthrough I've seen on TH-cam, the storyline and how dirty they did Knuckles in this universe.
The TV show was fun to watch though ☺️.

Great video like always. Also that ending part was very awesome and kinda scary. Well it's finally time for the moment. Also I was expecting a jumpscare anyways so I covered my ears cause normally I hate jumpscares lol. But my god what a cliffhanger. And setting that video to Halloween is very genius. There's a very clear difference between Boom Sonic and Modern Sonic. Boom Sonic has never encountered anything even remotely close to the insane gods Modern Sonic has come across. In fact, he might just be the weakest Sonic out there.

Rise of lyric. Oh boy. I am going to be honest actually, when I first played this game. I actually enjoyed it. But when I replayed it. I despised everything about this game. And the characters never shut up. Screw rise of lyric. Way worse than 06. 06 was the punching bag until this game came along. As for charrii5 video. I really enjoyed it

Oh Lyric deserves better........a better name
The music of this game in my memories feels very repetitive.
This Is gonna be interesting lol
1:45 it ISNT? Literally nothing happens between Sonic’s “death” and the characters rescuing him. Say what you will about Sonic 06 but when Sonic had his near death there were actual consequences.
Or if you feel that’s an unfair given Sonic actually died what about REDACTED’S “death” in Kingdom Hearts II. Sure that was short but it motivated the player to tear through the heartless of revenge. Plus there was at least a segment of gameplay in between his fake out and return.
5:08 he’s clearly a consequence of this game’s troubled development. There’s multiple lines in the game proper and in its code that indicates he was supposed to follow you the whole game. Plus he acts shifty and nervous in the final level as if he’s going to betray you or he’s nervous about confronting Lyric… only for neither to happen. Though I’m not sure if this is enough to make his character sin worthy.
Next is Sonic forces and last is Sonic Team Racing
I remember getting this game for christmas and god i hate this game half of the damn time i had no idea where to go and usually always had to use a guide for example a good game like super mario odyssey or hell even 06 tell you where you need to go this game doesn't do jackshit not even a hint of a helping hand to guide you it usually shows you exactly where you are supposed to end up but sometimes never leads you to it at least 06 has a its so bad its good charm to it and the glitches are funny to do and laugh at but this game can't even get the fucking point of a sonic game right the basic ability of going fast it was the main goddamn selling point for the blue blur in the 90s
Everything is wrong with that game, it has no redeeming features, just an empty shell of what could of been.

The only good Sonic Boom was fire and ice. The show was hit and it's comic series as well. If Sega didn't pull that stunt the game could have at least been a medicore.
Also Sonic Boom could take a more serious approach as a TV show when Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal's were tie in.

It's just Im still at work so I could only skim though the video(at X2 speed) and get just the main points. I may redo this later depending on how I feel. But this isn't horrible. Still flawed, but not 06 and Adventure 2 levels of bad.

Call me an opinion basher, but I think Lyric is a great villain, and I'm willing to bet people really just hate on him due to the poor quality of the game.
I don't hate him, but Lyric is a boring villain in my eyes. And his design feels like it belongs in another IP.

Ah, yes, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric. The other most hated Sonic game. I haven't played the game yet, because i don't own a Wii U, am unable to run Cemu and want to play previous Sonic games before, but one positive thing i can say about this game is that it has good graphics. People say that the graphics barely pass a PS2 game, but i really don't see that. I also don't mind the new character designs, so that's 1 less problem i have with not just Rise of Lyric, but all of the Sonic Boom content. But yeah, i really need to play this game to see if it is that bad or if Sonic Fans are just being wimps. Again.
So apparently their wimps for having a certain opinion on a game. Okay manchild
@@sussy-sonic Yes, because sometimes they hate a game for ridiculous reasons that make me cringe so hard. It even gets to the level that i start to think they don't actually understand Sonic or honestly they may suck at the game because the better you are at a Sonic game, the better the game actually is, and they usually complain about gameplay.

THAT’S ONLY IN GAMEPLAY. There are multiple instances in the story where Sonic survives a lot more. And okay, if you want to be technical, BOOM Sonic can survive quite a lot.
