- Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has finally announced his executive following numerous delays. Yesterday the DA in the province announced that it would not form part of the executive of the Gauteng Government of Provincial Unity. The party says the offer it received from the ANC was unfair and unreasonable. Lesufi says the door is still open for negotiations despite the impasse with the DA.

The document that the DA gave you said they wanted 3 positions provided you get 7 along with other parties. But you wanted 7 to yourselves and only reduce it to 6. That is what caused the talks to breakdown. I am not DA but this shows that the ANC will do anything for power.

What Lesufi is saying is that the ANC would have 5 positions, including him, with the DA 3 and the other parties 3, but the ANC wanted 7 positions and didn't want to negotiate. That's what broke down the discussions-ANC factions are at play here.
DA asked for 3 MEC posts, if ANC share the rest with other parties, not for them to take it for themselves. You think we are stupid, acting like you can't read a basic agreement and you had the province for decades and you clearly know the issues so you deliberately ignored it. Premier thank you let's gight crime. The power infradtructure copper cables gas pipes, water infradtructur etc have to be protected.. In South Africa unlike in other African states we tend not to invest in securing these infrastructures. African infrastructure including dubstations and power lines are heavily guarded.
