I just bought these. I see so many people complaining about them breaking or cracking. Did I make a bad purchase? I bought the Apple care just in case. But has anyone had this issue?
Hey, I noticed that the build quality is not ideal but I have never had them break on me. They only do some crackling sounds when you bend them a bit.
@glovedcop69 Mine broke on the hinge after 2 years use, they couldn't be repaired so I bought a new pair cheaply on Amazon. You have to be careful with them, not to stretch too much when removing from your head.

Many people complained about the sound quality. Low bass completely absent - I wished you could comment on that.
Hello Rob, thanks for bringing that up. These were my first Beats Headphones. Before I got them i was worried they would be very bass heavy. That turned out to be not the case. I liked the amount of bass they offered and was generally happy with their sound quality. Though consider, I am not someone who enjoys extremely bass heavy music.

Phew, tricky one. I’d have to guess myself. It could be magic, kinda like the headphones themselves, or maybe just some cool algorithm trick. Maybe youtube has a time counter and it just automatically updates my Thumbnails… or worse, what is if someone hacked my account and doesn’t do anything but update my thumbnails and titles every year… damn… could be anything… or maybe i just updated it myself and just forgot about it… i guess it doesn’t even matter how it happened, all i know its my best performing video and i can’t wait for 2024… 😆

Can’t you just wear the beats over a hoodie? Would that stop sweat more entering the foam
Less sweat for the headphones, but more sweat for me. I wouldn’t be able to work out in a hoodie. Way to hot.
Currently I use powerbeats pro for working out , but somehow I’m looking for a wider experience when working out , are these good for like long distance running ? And also would you recommend these over the sony wh-1000xm3’s?
The Powerbeats Pro are very convenient and sit well in your ears. The lack of noise canceling though is giving you a bit of a lesser experience. The Studio 3 have that noise canceling. I really enjoy it coz I can listen to music on a lower volume and still enjoy it to the fullest. It seems to be good for my ears for the long run. The problem though with a long run, is that you could start sweating. I have that problem sometimes. In therms of fitting though, I was fine with going running with them. I haven’t tested the Sony’s, but I was disappointed but them just being able to be connected to one device at the same time. I always switch devices and that would be very annoying to me.
I have the Sonys. They are good for sound quality and excellent noise cancelling, but no good for the gym. The head lockdown is weak and they don't handle sweat well.

Do you think it would work for skateboarding and basketball?
Definitely not for a fast game with lots of head movement. Id say if you shoot some balls yourself it will be fine. Same with skateboarding. If you take it easy for sure works but if you do lots of fast movements, I think they would fall off eventually. Something more secure like the PowerBeats Pro would definitely work better there. I made a video about them too.

I'd like to get these for exercise (running, boxing, weights), how much of a problem will sweat or water be against the headphones? how would you help prevent damage by sweat on the headphones? great video man
I do sweat a lot myself. So I really made them wet. I usually just wiped them off. In the short term it’s probably going to be fine. All the materials seem to be sweat resistant.
hey mate have you had any problems with the sweat on exercising ?
@@alexleman3256 for me it worked out fine. I do sweat a lot in general but the cushions seem to be holding up well. I just clean them off after the workout.
As far as I know they do not have an IPX4+ certification and therefore aren't sweat proof either.
You can help to minimize moisture in and around the earcups by using WickedCushions Sweatz or Gymhugz and a headband to prevent damaging the synthetic leather.
Otherwise you could try the Miiego Boom (mini on ear, normal, and ANC probably 100, 150 and 220 bucks respectively). They come with changable cushions synth leather and mesh fabric and do have an IPX4 certification - it's danish company so for US it could be diffucult to get.
The leather corrodes away really quickly but headphones work decent

Would you recommend the airpods pro or the beats studio 3 wireless, i mostly use them for working out.
Hey that’s a good question. If you solely looking for some headphones for work out then the AirPods Pro give you a higher convenience factor. I used both for working out and both are fine but they both have advantages and drawbacks. With the AirPod Pros for example i have to readjust the fit ever 15 minutes or so when moving a lot. On the other hand with the Bests, I tend to sweat a lot on a hot day. Not sure how long you can wait but I have a review of the AirPods Pro and the Powerbeats Pro coming out in the next few weeks. I’m just done editing the video, so subscribe and stay tuned.

How is the durability ? Will it be fine if I accidentally dropped them?
Hmm, good question. Id say it will survive a few drops but definitely not a sure thing. The plastic will probably chip at some point. They sure won’t completely break apart if dropped from head hight but i guess it is similar to a cell phone. A few times you might get lucky but eventually something will give.
are they comfy like enough to wear them for 2-3 hours? for example for watching movies or something
Hey Karen, for me they were surprisingly comfortable. I used them for longer workouts or watching movies and that was fine. After a few hours though i had to move the top a bit, having the holders always on the same part of my head felt uncomfortable after a while. I have the same feeling though with all of the over the head headphones. I hope that helped.

Yea that’s a perfect use case for the Beats Headphones. Worked well for me too. I was surprised how well they fit on my head, even with heavy movement.

Hey Josh, thanks for pointing this out. The crazy thing about the Beats Studio 3 headphones is that they are still the most recent over the ear ANC headphones that Beats offers. Apple released the #AirPodsMax as a higher priced alternative but still selling the #BeatsStudio3 with new color configurations and no updates. If you want to know more about the Beats, this video is as relevant for you now as it was 2 years ago. Let’s hope Beats releases an updated version of the Studio 3 sometime soon but too be honest, I wouldn’t bet on it.

Like i told @LaFreeway13, for me it has been black for the longest times but just recently im considering buying lighter colors... like gray, silver or dark green... but its hard, coz i like it to fit to the overall looks. Though i think those Beats look great in general, so color just comes down to a tiny decision =)

I heared that Beats are not so good if you listen to HArd Rock and Metal. Are you have any infos about that. Iam search for new headphones in Gym but i mostly listen to Hard Rock // Metal.
I’ve heard mixed thoughts on that. Some say it’s not that good but some love it. I like to listen to a wide variety of songs, Rock and Metal included and I was not disappointed. It sometimes comes down to your comparison reference. If you already have tried many over the ear headphones and have a certain favorite in how things need to sound then you will compare these headphones to this standard. Though if these are your first over the ear headphones in that segment, you might enjoy them for what they are. I hope that could help a bit. Let me know what you decided.

Hah, yeah, I feel ya. Sometimes I wonder if I should go with other colors than black but then most of the time I get black anyways.
I told myself to lighten up a bit with future purchases. Like graphite, gray, silver or dark green. Last year I got a sage green backpack and was really proud of myself. But then just a week ago, I got weak and choose a matte black roller suitcase as replacement for my olive gray one after it’s wheels failed. 😆

Is it okay to sweat on them while working out? Will it destroy the cushion in the long run? I love my beats i just got it last week for 200$ i just want to use this for a really long time i gotta be sure if this is safe haha
Believe me, i sweat a lot. My girlfriend can attest to that 😂
I thought it would be a problem with over the ear headphones but i was surprised about how things held up with those #BeatsStudio3. The material of the cushions is water repellent and easy to clean. So for the short therm, things will stay fine enough. Long therm, i am sure you will see some wear on them. In this video I compared the Studio 3 with the B&O over the ear headphones, and they have real leather ear cushions. I wouldn’t recommend that for sports.
It’s been 11 months now, how consistently have u been using them for workout outs, and have you seen any damage/wear n tear?
@@BurnThePastCreateTheFuture hey there! Yes i've been using it everday for the last 11 months. Especially on the gym, for 1-2 hours even if i sweat a lot, i never seen any wear & tear. I just wipe it after i use it and let it airdry on top of the case when i get home. Battery life is still the same. I still get 1week use from a 100%charge, and when it goes to 30% i charge it again. This is really worth it, especially if you're looking for a budget headphones. The noise cancelling is also good for the price, but i still prefer airpods pro's noise cancellation.

I think wiping the sweat off after use is key, my thinking is that leaving it may allow it to seep into the cushion material and continually doing this over time breaks it down.

Hey thanks for asking, i eventually did. I liked them and all but they turned out too big for my use. I ended up going with smaller earbuds instead. Though if you are in the market for over the ear headphones, i think they offer great value.

Does anyone else have problems with them disconnecting and reconnecting randomly from iPhone ??? I’ve already updated them idk why it keeps doing this
I’ve had a similar problem with my PowerBeats Pro. I talked to Apple about it and they weren’t sure themselves if it was a hardware or software problem. They ended up replacing them and a few updates were released too. One or the other seemed to have fixed the issue. If I was you I find a way to record the problem on video and then I’d contact Apple support.

Yea that’s a great question. Both of these headphones are great at what they offer. The use case is just a bit different. I’ve used both of them. For relaxing and chilling I’d probably prefer the beats. Running with the beats was fine too. Tough it’s though to be on the go with the beats. They are a lot bigger. And you kinda have to deal with that all the time. So if you are looking for something more convenient then the AirPod Pros are your way to go. Great music too, not a truly the same experience but a form factor that can come with you all the time. So it depends on your lifestyle and preferences.

Hey Luis, I’m generally surprised on how well they stay on my head while running. I thought they would slip but for me it works without a problem.

I’m having the AirPods Pro myself and they work well for most sports if it’s not too hectic. Sometimes though they get loose when I go running with them or even fall out when I do calisthenics. For sure a different market though. The best ones for all kinds of sports are probably the Powerbeats Pro. I’m in the process of making a video about those and the AirPod pros. Stay tuned

doug king thank you for your comment. have you tried the Beats Studio3? What are your headphones of choice?
Paul Trausner I have not tried them. I’m not a big fan of over the ear and prefer on ear. I have a large head and Beats is too tight a fit for me. I also don’t like noise cancelation as it gives me a headache. AirPods are the best option for me at the moment so that’s what I use. I use the Bose on ear when traveling to block the ambient a little on planes and such.
doug king yea I get ya. I wonder if I can get used to having big headphones for a while. So far I always ended up going back to in ear headphones. For me the problem is mostly how warm it feels on my head. I try to stay cool =)

Good headphones stay good, and bad headphones stay bad, no matter what. Beats are bad, and they do not have as much bass as you think, they do not have a lot of mids and high end. And they have no soundstage. There is no reason to make this video. other that they might become cheaper and new competitors may exist. They also are not great build with average earpads. Hindges are awaful.
Hey Pico, thank you for your input about the Beats Headphones. Yes, I noticed as well that the built quality of the headphones is not quite up to my liking. Especially the hinges. What are your preferred over the ear wireless headphones?
