Thanks to Frenzy Light turning my idea into a video ! Quick additions : - It’s important to remind that Bayonetta combos are susceptible to DI, weight, and character you are facing. Most of the time, you have to adapt to your opponents DI in order to get the damage or the kill you want. - In this video, after the witch twist Frenzy did a jump abk but you mostly want to go for regular Abk and then jump cancel witch twist to get more height. - After burner kick has three(four if you count the two middle hits) hitboxes : Frame 7-8 it’s the early hit, 9-11 middle hit, 12-13 middle hit "2” and 14-18 late hit which has a set knockback - Witch twist delay abk jump back air can be good as a kill confirm at higher% - On some characters and fastfallers you can usually get a jump fair after the double Wtw up air at low% - In witch time you can also go for a witch twist after an up throw.
Thanks for this, it was a little frustrating to see the constant jumping before the ABKs, as in many of the combos he could’ve been a lot more stylish or deadly had he done a JC

i've been learning/practicing bayo for a few months now and this is by far the most informative and comprehensive guide i've found! love that you mentioned her combo potential on other legal stages and discussed her options after throws since im still working on that aspect of her tool kit
Note: If you’re trying to get a kill off the top or side, try to avoid burning your Double Jump Mid-Combo. It’s best to Double Jump-Cancel everything to gain more height and be able to recover back. Hope it helps.

I kept getting absolutely getting trashed on while playing Bayonetta today against my friends, now this shows up in my recommendations. Well, thats embarrassing
pro tip: jumping before up b will drag the opponent higher to the sky and get better kill confirms off the top, unsure if this was mentioned in the video but i'll mention it here
Thanks Frenzy Light, Mysto, and all the others. I always wanted to learn another well-balanced character with a strong combo game. Seriously, nice work, like always.
I just pick up Bayonetta as a secondary and I am working hard to get the bugs and kinks out of her to make her solid. This video really shows me what I should be focus on doing and land tons of combos. I was aware Smashville was no help, but knowing that platform stages are a key factor to her success, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you so much for this video. This can really improve my Bayo gameplay so much
I’ve been a Bayo main since Smash 4. I’m really good with her in Ultimate and this video taught me a lot more! You never really stop learning with Bayonetta. That’s why I love this character a lot! Thanks.
Ngl even tho this was extremely well done, the fact that you didn't Jump Canlce the witch twists after the ABK REALLY hurt. But great video none the less. Edit 1: Against specific characters like Samus and terry, you can hit a DABK after heel slide which can combo into a kill. Edit 2: PLZ PLZ PLZ, make upair kill. Im not asking for the absurd 80% that it killed at in Sm4sh. I was thinking around 150% cuz WT and ABK can rack up damage really fast.
Really good guide ! Possibly when you were taking about stages maybe could of talked about bullet climax on slants as it's very useful . But again really good guide !
If anyone is feeling a little spicy, at low percents (~20% and below) an u-air and an u-tilt can true combo in to eachother against certain characters. U-air has to hit the opponent right as it would transition into the Bullet Arts variant (I also recommend full hopping and fast falling upon using u-air because short hop doesn't work since fast-falling will cancel the u-air animation). After hitting the opponent with the late u-air hitbox, immediately use u-tilt. I've tested it on my friends and they can't DI out of it (with some exceptions, but only near the 20% threshold).

An additional note is that downward afterburner kick (dabk) can connect from regular afterburner kick (abk) if they are relatively close enough to bayonetta and will work almost always if they are diagonally to the bottom right/left of the direction your taking the opponent. This combo branch extension is risky, but can add a new set of attacks to kill off the side or top if done right. @@blacksource2101 lol, it takes a long time to get used to all of her different setups and moves. She plays completely different to every character in the game so knowing neutral with her won’t cut it 😭😭. I have her in elite smash now but god damn it’s hard to maintain lmao.
@@Deme_Diora666 Will you be uploading so I can see how you mastered her?😅 I gave up on her last night but I'm still tryna find my main so maybe I'll go back to her because her combos is dangerous! My main was Marth when I was playing Melee but ssbu is an entirely different ballgame and I bought the game less than a week ago so it's gonna take awhile to catch up to everyone else🤦🏽♂️
Bruh, I've seen you nail a back-air hit while facing the opponent in those up-air hits. How do you those b-airs after using up-airs while facing them mid-air?
I don't know if this is important, but she gets much more landing lag on her airials when she uses her up b's, just so you know how much more (the numbers aren't 100% exact, maybe +/- 1 or 2 frames), without using any: 11 frames landing lag on back air, with using one: 23 frames and with using two: 39 frames. This also applies for all her other airials, but her down air gains much less landing lag then her other airials, with using two up b's only approximately 8 frames. I have no clue why this is a thing, but it really annoys me, since it isn't just like 3 frames of landing lag more, but instead so much more that its most of the time enough for the enemy to just hit you with a smash attack, without anything you can do
Her landing lag in general increases the longer she's in the air, this is to be a draw back of how long she can stay in the air with all her recovery and combo options
Super cool vidéo ! I have a question : Does jump cancelled witch twist have less combo potential than regular double witch twist ? It seems that one is faster than the other. I have the hardest time carriyng into the upper blastzone combos.

Bruh I came here for Bayonetta By Platinum Games for actual advanced techniques only to get a Smash Ultimate version of Bayonetta.
