Hey, bayo main here, you're not using optimal upb cancelling to extend combos, inform new players about this so they dont suicide offstage while trying to do a combo. Bayo should never not have her double jump if you're using jump cancelling correctly.
Liked the Comment so people see it early in the Comment section ❤️ I know about optimal UpB canceling, but I was really not bothered to redo every clip for that
DaniLovesArt12 Dim you have to do the double witch twist technique where you must jump right after the first up b, then up b again within 3 frames. Your double jump should still be there, hence being called “triple jump”
I could never figure out how to consistently pressure shields as Bayonetta. I will definitely be making use of this information! THANK YOU FRENZY LIGHT!
2:10 only real gangsters steal a stock past 100 For real though this seems really promising since many chars have cool options there and as a wise sheik main once said "the skill of a [...] main doesn't show in his combos, but in the way he extends them on platforms"
I was one of the people who asked for this, and my expectations were blown away. A lot of good stuff for new bayo players to learn, but I've been playing bayo for a while and I still learned a lot. Thank you so much!
This guide would be very helpful for new bayo mains! You've done an amazing job! I'd also like to add that platform drop up air and back air can both hit opponents standing on the same platform and potentially start combos or kill, it's rather situational but it can win you stocks!
There's also a situational trick that I sometimes like to do whenever I'm standing on a platform with my opponent, which is a platform drop into an immediate Witch Twist. It's nothing too big but it can help you dodge an attack that doesn't hit very low and immediately retaliate and start a combo! It's just a cute mix-up lol
I'm going to have to start using auto canceled aerials more. I wasn't aware they could set up combos, I just assumed that gun up air and nair were exclusively for edge guarding. Also, I think that was the first time I've seen Bayo break a shield before and it looked sick.
@ I'm not too consistent at them myself, but you're suppose to land with the aerial during specific frames of the move. If you want someone who actually knows what they're talking about, search how to auto cancel in Ultimate and it should be the first or second video that comes up.
one cool but situational combo with her is doing rar up air bullet arts on an opponent on a platform but dont fast fall because you'll have more endlag, just wait until you reach the ground after the second hit. you can follow up immediately with a true abk and do whatever you want
Wow, I just upladed a Bayo combo video and i showcased that ff fair 3 on platforms can extend combos. Btw Amazing job gonna apply most of this to my gameplay, picked up bayo again like a month ago :D
Hey a interesting tech I found is fall though a platform as bowser and then quickly dair and you get pushed back up onto the platform so if you repeat it might be a stalling technique but idk I just thought it might be useful cuz I don’t khow
Great video! I have 1 question about this series for pt would you do one for all 3 or 1 for each. I’m looking to pick up pt and need help with my movement for all 3.
Hey, newbie Bayo here. 3:26 - 3:40 looks useful. How do I "auto-cancel aerial guns?" In general, I haven't been able to move like that, and obviously, Bloom4Eva and Lima's basic movements are mysterious to me. What are the inputs and "tech" utilized in order to move so quickly? To be honest, Smash is uncharted territory; I've touched the game sub-20 times. That said, two local tournaments were fun to play in: I even made it to the winners' finals my third time playing the game, at all! The "dashes, cancels and tech" are all new to me. I just learned about that stuff two days ago. Please help! lol ✌️🕊
something you missed with bayo is how she can wave land on the platforms for mix ups and to sometimes act quicker. its really good on ps2 and also a good tool for camping and playing defensive. Overall great quality video
Hey!!, i consider myself to be a below average player and i really want to improve however i cant find a main with great movement that can kill and has great combos. Any recommendations for character or do i have to find this out on my own?
Experimentation is key. However, if you want a character like that with more intricate play, you can try Roy or Joker. If you want to go super hard mode (pretty much a training mode character), try Peach. Considering that you are tagging yourself as below average, I'd say try Wolf. Wolf is an excellent character to build your fundamentals on. Easy to pick up, has a high skill ceiling and does a little bit of everything. Try watching LarryLurr for guides on him. If you feel like none of them work for you, sorry. I'd like to help however I can.
@@cagnacagnacagnacagna1127 I like your recommendations! I'd also like to add Pikachu, he's an amazing combo character with great kill power. Palutena also has a very solid combo game alongside great kill power. And then of course we have Mario who is a very simple character and has a very rewarding combo game!
@@feyernightblade2050 Your help was great ,also from cagna, but i cant stand playing as or against a majority of the cast so im just gonna give up on going competitive. I dont like anyone on the roster because of how similar they are to many other characters. The unique characters are pretty bad too, so im just giving up.
This is great dude. Good insight, as always. In Discord you asked what we think of the series. I definitely think people will constantly be asking you for more! My one advice is that if you don't mention the text you are putting in at the top of the video, people may not know it's there. Maybe extend you're black bar down a little bit.
@@feyernightblade2050 Platforms in this game are garbage, and you often find yourself "stuck" on them despite inputting the buttons to fall off them. I was joking asking for a trick to get off platforms as a way of making fun of this fact.
This guy always has such a good aesthetic and is Fantastic at explaining things
DABK can actually be used as a combo tool in the air, it's just a very slim opening and specific percentages, weights etc.

One thing about Downward side-B
at high enough percents you can combo it into normal abk ok aerial opponents
That’s a cheeky shield break setup very surprised how much I learned in this vid despite having almost 500+ hours on Bayo
I'm so happy to see my main getting a video ;^;
Never in my life did I think I would see a bayo shield break set up
Pls do this for greninja, i think it would make an interesting vid
Listen to this man !
True! Do that This is Goku btw. If u recognise me. ;)

How did you do the jab combo after the witch twist. Around 1:00 when i do it the enemy is further out to where it never links
You need to press jump and forward air at the same time
I see ppl do amazing up air strings as bayo how do i up air string

What is gun auto cancel? i’ve never heard that term before
How do you continuously do up air after up air??
I need Kirby platform tricks (Because I am Kirby main) also it would be funny. probably impossible because of his jump height XD
How do you the rar up airs like that
Make the text at the top of the screen slightly bigger??❤❤
