I just bought this bike and I’m going pp percent with you. I love it!! I’ve wanted one for years and literally two weeks in. I’ve had many bike and none even my btw in super hawk compact in beauty and power. It’s truly a work of art
What a great review - love the enthusiasm and the whole termignoni bit got me LOLing. Seriously guys, excellent, excellent work with this video. Liked and favorited!
The music is by Roland Jenkees. And the track is called "A fun beat from outer space (an experimental improv jam)" it is on youtube also check out his other videos they're awsome. I'm a big fan of his.
I didn't have any desire for a supersports until recently - now it's this bike that gets my heart racing every time I see it or watch a video about it. Did you buy one in the end?
My man has one. So far we are the only Ducati super bike around. I found the Ninja ZX9 i was looking over his shoulder. With the Ducati 848 Evo, im taller then most trucks. I love this bike myself. :) Even I, a 5'11 woman had a hard time climbing on this bike. Not a fan of the no handles for the passanger and when on long rides and you hit thick traffic, the bike is super hot on the legs. Sharp on turns, go from 0-150 no problem. doest feel like you are going that fast. bumps.... i lift off the seat, canada has some bad roads.
Thanks for the advice. I might start off with something like a 250, but I feel like Ill grow out of it very quickly, but it sure would be smart to get used to riding with something like a 250 than something like a 848.
Having owned a 749, Multistrada and a Monster before that, Im frankly a bit bored by Ducatis, at least the L2 config, and if I was going to buy a Ducati Superbike I'd get an 1198 or 1199 so why oh why do I find myself repeatedly watching this review?! This is probably 1 of the best reviews of any car or bike on Utube and dude you should totally work 4 Ducati as a salesman :) I'm looking @ Triumph 675 or MV Agusta F3 next but you might make me forget my past Ducati ownership and go for the 848
Well im a new rider and i found this review amazing! You've got yourself a new subscriber :) Keep up the good work, I wanna see more good videos coming!
I love your enthusiasm about this bike. It's absolutely beautiful sitting among Ducati's sportbike category. I prefer the dry clutch and power of the larger, 1098 and 1198 models, though. - Just to clarify, Termignoni is pronounced as: (Term-een-yoh-nee) Sort of similar to concept of how you would pronounce the dinner dish "Filet Mignon." Anyway, thank you for supplying the video with amazing sound quality on the ride-by's, as well. Gave me cold chills.
Pretty much sums up my own opinion on my 848 Evo It also has the smoothest clutch of any bike I've ridden. The Termi cans are a must have item, as it totally changes the engine character and the engine braking. Unlike most cans the Termi ones come with a replacement ECU, which is one reason why they cost so much and have such a big impact on the power delivery. If you can afford them, buy them.
I love my 848 evo in matte white. Fairings are very expensive .. I had a drunk on a bicyclist unexpectedly cross the road and it cost me alot in fairings. The dark evo and red are easier color to paint/fix fairings.
Got my '08 used for 5500. You can get them under 10k used, you just have to keep looking and be patient. It took me several months to find the one I got.
I beg to differ. I'm a new rider who never ridden a motorcycle. I only took the MSF class and then went and picked up my New 2013 848 EVO SE. It's such an easy bike to ride so I think it's a good beginner bike in my opinion cause I'm an example. Thanks
I love my 1198 in red.I think cars etc can see the red better than the black.First test ride was an 848 evo and that made me buy mine.Use the same amount of gas as bigger bike as well.
I'm 20 I'm moving to LA in January and wanted to pick this bike up to ride around town I have Mustang and have never ridden a bike before would this bike be ok for me to just ride around the city on? I'm not a speed freak and won't be racing or still would it be too much for a beginner?
Great review man. Awesome bike! I'm an R6 fan ...but this bike its just 2 great! Light, handles like a dream, power, and looks the best out of all the super sports. Sounds amazing as well!!! Yes,its Euro..and like ANYTHING EURO you have to spend some more, and more TLC needed, you wanna run with the big dogs, you have to able to hang and cough up the maintenance costs. Its just like dating a supermodel:) high maintenance, always drama, but the '''ride'' :)) is mind blowing! So..step up step up
Freaking nice review guys! Almost bought one, since I'm a ducati fan, but I was able to get a S1000RR cheaper then the duc... and tbh the s1k is king(other cat ofc)! More reviews guys!
It really depends on what kind of a Driver you are. The low end torch on this bike is there but with some practice and respect you'd be fine. The 600's tend to be a little more forgiving in the low end. Good luck my friend! Be safe
I found the low end torque to be right where you want it when exiting corners . Big fan of sport twins , I have a hard time settling in to the extremely high RPMs of most 4 cylinder machines of the same ilk
You live in Ontario? Care to tell me (or private msg :P ) where those roads are? Btw - I loved your review. You should be on TV for a Canadian motorcycle Top Gear or something! Just sold my Multistrada after starting to do more trackdays. Was only looking at the Triumph 675 but now am seriosly considering the 848 evo. Btw - I live in TO so maybe we'll end up crossing paths sometime :)
+Joshua Estrada its a bit on the high side, i just bought one. Im 5f4in, more back than legs/inseam, flat foot one side, tip toes on both. I removed the seat to remove some bad wiring previous owner did for LEDs , and can flat foot both sides with no seat, which is a bout 2 to 2.5 in thick. So Id get it fitted for your weight, and cut some padding out of the seat, and youd be fine. Thats what I did anyway. And this review is 100% right, the bike is stellar. I love the idle. Center of attention at stop lights, and on the highway. Every gear drop & rev is like Thor slamming his hammer.
Termi- gno-ni...the gno is pronounced like the 'gna' in lasagna...nasally. And awesome enthusiasm shown for a pretty awesome motorcycle indeed. Ducati's are uniquely 'different' than Japanese motorcycles...not necessarily from a pure performance standpoint but rather from a visceral one. And that is why Ducati motorbikes are so seductive. Nice vid, thanks!
I may or maynot be able to confirm that flat black could be handy when ripping up some twisty backroads beyond the recommended speed and passing a smoky traveling in the opposite direction , conveniently placed side road , clutch in , key off and don't touch the breaks activates stealth mode and perhaps big brother headed back in the direction he had come from at a significant rate of speed comes up empty handed . Hypothetically speaking of course, it would seem possible
I really want this to be my first bike, but seeing how powerful it is has definitely changed my mind. Ill be honest, the idea sounds amazing, but realistically speaking, this bike would eat me alive haha Still i might buy it, perhaps ill learn to handle it with time and respect.
my cousin brought a same bike in india two guys imported two of these bikes in india one in he brought in chandigarh n another some guy in benguluru i always thought why he didnt go for the red now i knew why he opted for the black one but i saw this bike myself n it rides like a hell n it looks awesome i also ride a hyosung gt650 r it goes top 235 to 240 top but its pretty cheap from ducati but it roars n has a pick up like ducati coz both r v twin.
Hey!!... very cool review, like your style... and it is "termiñoni"... ask any one who speak spanish how the "ñ" sound... because in italian the "gn" like in Termignoni... sounds identically than "ñ" in spanish... i hope make some contribution!!
fun review. you are incorrect about the redline. the redline is 11,300. the first red light is 800rpm from redline which is why you thought it was 10,500.
Yikes.... Sounds like Fender had a bad experience. Well I think everybody is different and it depends on your riding style. I right away started on a SV650 and was fine. Less than a year later I bought a 796 Duc and love it to bits. I personally think if you can TAKE A MOTORCYCLE COURSE, fight the temptation of pinning it everywhere and take time to do everything slowly, you'll be fine.
I got the 848 Evo SE. Wouldnt trade it for anything in the world! Ducati is love, Ducati is life!
I agree. :)
Beautiful woman on beautiful bike, in real life thats every mans dream, you dont need any thing else, just those two! state of art!

Love your reviews man, keep up the good work. I've had my EVO for a year and can't get enough!!!
That Bike is sick. Love the mat-black. Looks fast just sitting there
848 stole my heart!
The most passionate review by far!
It looks phenomenal , i still love my 748 in yellow though
LOL the Bloopers at the end are very funny can't wait to show my Ducati pals ,,,,

its really good looking bike.

just wrecked mine... loved it either way, rebuilding her will be a process tho
great vid, and that is one sweet ass bike, love the look. now i want to take one for a test drive
i love this bike cant wait to get it

Keep up the good work, I wanna see more good videos coming!
Will it do a great job as a commuter bike? I'd still track it though.
I love your enthusiasm about this bike. It's absolutely beautiful sitting among Ducati's sportbike category. I prefer the dry clutch and power of the larger, 1098 and 1198 models, though. - Just to clarify, Termignoni is pronounced as: (Term-een-yoh-nee)

Ridden one before and it's an incredible bike!

Have a 2010 R6, but this is will be my next upgrade.
I love my 848 evo in matte white. Fairings are very expensive .. I had a drunk on a bicyclist unexpectedly cross the road and it cost me alot in fairings. The dark evo and red are easier color to paint/fix fairings.
What would be a good first bike?
Great review! I think I'm in love
nice pic

Hey - stealth black was only for USA? Or eu too?
Thanks this was great going to pick one up Saturday
I love my 1198 in red.I think cars etc can see the red better than the black.First test ride was an 848 evo and that made me buy mine.Use the same amount of gas as bigger bike as well.
custom fairings?
Ones I gain more experience and stop stalling at red lights like a noob, I'd definitely get this sexy ass bike.
Puddle of drool on my laptop. Awesome video man !
is this Bike smaller than the other superbikes like r6 or gsxr 600???
Good job Chris.Just Termi!
Love for the 748.
I'm 20 I'm moving to LA in January and wanted to pick this bike up to ride around town I have Mustang and have never ridden a bike before would this bike be ok for me to just ride around the city on? I'm not a speed freak and won't be racing or still would it be too much for a beginner?
You think Ducati will bring this back in Dark Stealth? The Corse is nice but I like it ll black....
Great review! I want one... My friend got a Monster 696, the sound is awsome! I really need to go and try this... Or I better not...

if you are dumb enough to go the dealership. then yes.
You live in Ontario? Care to tell me (or private msg :P ) where those roads are? Btw - I loved your review. You should be on TV for a Canadian motorcycle Top Gear or something! You will love it!
Stand behind the bike and it has a beautiful hourglass shape like a proper lady . Work of art and the bark of that twin is like nothing else
I love my year 2003 Ducati 750 Sport and this has got my eye, maybe next year...or... =)
Miss my 2002 750 sport . Had the half fairing version in the flat black with the Termignoni exhaust fantastic ride
this is a beautiful bike!!!
is the bike low? I'm a short dude
