So I started oil pulling about a month ago. I began with extra virgin olive oil because I didn't have coconut. I noticed an immediate sinus clearing during the first time, after years of congestion. I could smell properly again. A couple of days later, I switched to coconut oil and also used roasted sesame oil a few times. After two weeks with the coconut oil, pulling once or twice a day, I switched back to olive oil for a week, just to compare. I noticed the olive oil felt more peppery in my mouth and inflamed my gums more. Also, it didn't seem to whiten my teeth like coconut oil did. My mouth feels much cleaner with the coconut oil than with the olive oil. And finally, with the coconut oil, an area of inflamed and receded gum had started to noticeably tighten up and change shape, feeling more flat and less puffed up, but these changes seemed to have arrested while using the olive oil. I switched back to coconut oil just today and noticed about 10 minutes in a foul kind of "seepage" coming out of my gums, similar to what had happened when I'd first begun pulling with coconut oil. After this reinstatement of the coconut oil, my mouth feels cleaner than it has in a week. So I conclude based on this that coconut oil is superior to olive oil for tooth and gum health. I may be wrong, but I will continue pulling with coconut oil for now unless strong evidence presents itself to convince me to stop.

Thank you for the encouraging comments. I have now been oil pulling regularly for nearly 9 months. I have also added milk pulling a few times a week, where I swish milk in my mouth for 5 minutes and swallow, total 30 minutes.
I have not really noticed my teeth much whiter but I have much less pain on waking, after clenching my jaw during the night.
My gums are much less inflamed between the teeth and tighter around the teeth, and now they're such a lovely light-pink colour.
But the most surprising changes have been to my skin, voice and digestion. Skin heals very fast, spots are turning to skin colour and voice sounds amazing! I can reach very high and low notes, and it sounds so smooth (I used to have a very croaky voice).
I also used to have very bad tummy aches, and this has mostly gone away now. I am so happy!

Thank you..❤️❤️..UPDATE after 1 month, my sensitivity due to mild cavities on my molars are totally reversed and my gums are healthy. My wisdom tooth and surrounding white gums are healed and they are pink and healthy . No more bad breath. My routine - Morning : brushing with Sensodyne. Evening : Oil pulling - cold pressed coconut oil. (20 minutes). Brushing with Sensodyne repair & protect. (Only spit out after brushing & not rinse. Spit out saliva with toothpaste residue for 10 mins. rinse before bed ) . Consistency is the key. Started taking vitamin & essentials supplements, Omega 3 capsules. It has become a habit to do oil pulling every night before brushing. And I don’t think i will skip this ever. In addition, I try to cut down on sugary items now more than ever since I started oil pulling. But once in a while, I have few chocolates and even ice creams without any pain or sensitivity 🙂

hi!! i'm here to tell y'all that it DID work. just a few days ago i was suffering and searching so many videos about how to relieve tooth ache/pain, since in my country we are in strict quarantine rules and cannot go to the dentist. i was really stressed and the pain was so painful that i wanted to cry. i was very skeptical of oil pulling at first, but i still did it out of desperation.
    so here's what i did:
    morning (after eating breakfast)
3 tbps of oil to gargle (i gargled for 10 minutes)
    brushing teeth for 2 minutes
    after eating lunch:
    brushing for 2 minutes
    dinner:
    brushing for 2 minutes
    mouth wash
after the first day, it still hurt a lot. i was debating whether or not to continue- but again, i was desperate so i still did it. finally, on the third day of use-i was shocked that the pain was completely gone. keep in mind that this might only work if the tooth ache/decay is not that BAD therefore it can still be reversed. also make sure to lessen your consumption of sugary foods, although i still ate snacks once a day. good luck guys and i hope the pain stops for y'all too!!

Ok Here it goes..after I got my braces installed I noticed that 2 of my teeth have this gross looking greenish like layer near the gumline, this area has been hidden under the gum until my brace pulled it up. I saw this oil pulling 2 months prior but quite hesitant since to swish an oil??ewww. But luckily I did try it due to immense positive feedback after further research. Yesterday when I woke up I can still see this stuff on my two teeth later that day I brush my teeth (Im using Sensodyne white and repair for 5mos now as well) to my surprise after a few minutes of brushing these block of material on my 2 teeth have peeled off on their own. Im trying to find it if I have it in my mouth swirling with bubbles (gross) but I found nothing. These 2 teeth now is about to have a uniform white color to my other teeth without any patches. Im now impressed with oil pulling.my teeth got whiten as well. Im not sure if Sensodyne helps though.

I ha3used coconut oil in the past but thought i would give this a try i literally had a toothache not long ago and thought to myself "uh oh, time to start oil pulling again" as soon as i said that found this daily swish hopefully it works to pull all the bacteria from my gums and mouth. Yes this is my first time buying this stuff, but from what I have seen about this product I would highly recommend it, after all at the end of the day its a win,win situation, you can't loose.

I use virgin coconut oil or virgin olive oil. But if I have a cavity and I probably do (dentist appointment in a week) I mix coconut oil with some cinnamon and I swish for multiple minutes and if you don't wait too long to start this you can usually wipe out any infection that has started and I have. I can barely feel a problem with that tooth now. Cinnamon is a natural antibiotic.

Everyone tells me what happened to me because I look terrible. The kids told me that I am disfigured, what happened to me??? Will it go away? My face was terribly disfigured by these pimples, and I am 51. The last time I had such pimples was when I was a teenager. Will it go away?

I love the video, but you don’t have to use that much oil, I normally use just a tablespoon or so

Does oil pulling strengthen enamel too? Looking into the mirror I clearly see my teeth getting thinner. Thank you for the answer in advance!

i’ve been oil pulling for a bit now and ive noticed overall improvement but the one thing is that i haven’t noticed much of a difference in the whiteness of my teeth, and the instructions on my bottle say to brush after the oil pulling but this one says before. should i switch them around?

You’re welcome! Oil pulling can be done at night, but Ayurveda generally recommends it in the morning on an empty stomach.
