YO! Super surprised to see myself in your video haha. You make some really good points here. The reason I turned off comments on the video was because we got A LOT of hate for posting something that goes against the grain. You know how TH-cam comments be sometimes. I do appreciate you making this response video because it shows me that more needs to be done to investigate this topic. We could have been more comprehensive and taken more samples of bacteria from multiple areas. I also could have been more thorough with my experiment. Thank you for sharing! We’re going to do a follow up video on this topic and I’ll be sure to mention you and your constructive criticism. We always pride ourselves in giving honest analysis on these topics. If you have any advice of what you’d like to see in our follow up video we would greatly appreciate it! All the best, keep doing what you do. 🙏🏼
Heyyyy Skyler, the man, myth and legend of this video in question :D I appreciate that you are going to do a follow up video and I am glad that you didn't see my video as hate but more of a "nanii?!" constructive criticism of the findings! Let me know when the follow up video comes out, looking forwards to its findings!
Dr Nemeth straight up lied. To you and to everyone watching. That's why you got "hate" in the comments. Open your eyes. Why are we going easy on blatant liars? This is what's wrong with the world.
@@RobotronSage it’s hard for a dentist to admit that they could potentially not be needed. I do oil pulling and my dentist laughed at 1st and when I went back 6 mo later for a cleaning she admitted that there’s a difference in the amount of plaque, teeth were whiter and overall mouth health. It’s a long process but it works to do every day but it actually works!
I feel like dentist/ hygienist will go against oil pulling because they are not sponsored by coconut oil but are sponsored by conglomerates like Oral B, Colgate, Philips, Listerine etc
So true. I read online that the ADA partnered with a company that allows dentists to have their own insurance, and that insurance company partnered with Philips -- which makes the expensive Sonicare toothbrush (and, not surprisingly, is covered under the insurance plan).
No lie! I was browsing looking for home remedies for tooth sensitivity and it was a dentist who introduced me to oil pulling. He made a video of remedies that have no research and his biggest argument to oil pulling was that it tasted weird in his mouth. He ended the video saying, "I'll stick to my electric toothbrush" and started showing different brands of electric tooth brushes. It looked like a commercial for toothbrushes.
It's the same principle for vets and "prescription" food. Some of it is genuinely necessary but by FAR the majority is just extremely expensive maintenance feed that is by and large identical to many far cheaper brands. I have an honors degree in animal physiology, which covers nutrition (requirements, ingredients and legal verbiage) extensively; conclusions? Most vets are punting some criminally overpriced brands because they are sponsored by those companies
Oil pulling worked for me. I was referred to the dental hospital by my dentist. During the consultation with consultant he said I had periodontisis and recommended a couple of sessions with the dental hygienist. I had had a front tooth removed previously and he said because the bone had receded there was nothing that could be done. I had 4 sessions with the hygienist. I started oil pulling with coconut oil, flossing and increased my vit c etc supplements. When I went back to see the consultant he was amazed and kept going back to the previous images- this time he was pushing for me to have an implant for my missing tooth. I declined as I have enough metal in my face. He said I had done a brilliant job and there was nothing else he could do. So oil pull brush your teeth floss and look after your immune system
@Billy William that was the initial recommendation by the consultant. To have appointments with the hygienist and they would review it after that. I had the sessions with the hygienist. I used interdental sticks first- oil pulled with raw coconut oil and brushed my teeth. At the time I was using a natural toothpaste. I m sure the usual fluoride based ones work just as good. I oil pulled twice a day.
Susie, bite the bullet and get the implant, it will affect your life, health & image more than you can imagine, I wish I would have borrowed the $$ and done it years ago.😁
Why is anyone surprised that a dentist denounced oil pulling? When I first saw Nemeth’s video, my first thought was that of course he is going to be dismissive of it-if something like this works, it’s going to affect his bottom line. It’s a scary thing to realize, but the health and medical industry is a business like any other and its main purpose is to make money and lots of it.
No doubt! The entire allopathic medical model is built upon the germ theory. Our bodies are designed to heal themselves. Spiritually, mentally and physically we have to be determined and faithful in doing the right thing, as well as finding the root cause.
@K Conrad you are so right. I have really had more bad experiences with doctors than good experiences. I try to avoid pharmaceuticals like the plague. Now I am going to have to get a new doctor, after having him for years. Well, I do take one medicine, Hydrocort. That’s why I go to see him to get it. When I saw him this last time I thought he might be interested in something that had been a help me, maybe even want to share it with others. How naïve of me. I told him how Using reflexology for the kidney area cleared up a bladder problem in just one day. I was really amazed. He looked downright angry. He didn’t give me any eye contact and curtly told me he would see me in a year. When I temporarily had high blood pressure, he put me on a prescription which I tried but it had side effects, so I gave it up and got my blood pressure down by natural means. He told me that the blood pressure medicine did not have any side effects, when I expressed concern about that. Then when I told him that the blood pressure medicine had indeed caused side effects, he said that all medicines cause side effects. How contradictory. There is much more I could say but it would probably be boring, about how doctors have misdiagnosed and misled me.
It was actually my dentist who recommended oil pulling. But he was a special person, looked like Dumbledore with his long white hair and was overall the best dentist I ever had. Sadly he’s retired by now.
If I oil pull religiously, do I need dental cleaning? My oral health rn is moderate to good. I'm in my 30's, never got dental cleaning done and terrified. Thanks!
@@SG-xb7de If you have a good dentist dental cleaning is OK. I won’t lie to you and tell you it’s a walk in the park but it’s not that bad, especially compared to real dental treatment. If I were you I would consider annual dental cleaning and daily oil pulling. That’s the way I do it, and it’s been years since I needed any fillings. :D Take care! Sorry for the late reply, I only get notifications on my computer and not on my iPad.
I watched the the drs video when the comments weren’t turned off and today revisited to see that they were. I was wondering why and it’s definitely because of this video.
A friend of mine had a cavity in an inner molar that was inaccessible to work on, so the dentist recommended extracting it. His assistant felt sorry for my friend and she recommended oil pulling. This procedure healed the cavity and saved his tooth. I have been doing oil pulling for over 5 years and my yearly trip to the dentist for cavity treatment / crown replacement ended completely. Since then I have had no more dental work, except for a repair in a broken tooth. So in my experience, IT WORKS. Dentists don't mention oil pulling, because it does not bring them any income.
Okay. I went to my dentist this last February and he gave me the bad news that I had gum disease and I would probably eventually lose all my teeth. Devastated, I looked for any solution and I tried oil pulling mostly daily, but regularly, until my next appointment in June. Dentist then said my gums looked much better and I could get the bridge i needed since the support teeth were healthy as were the gums. I still got a deep cleaning, but I didn't bleed very much, and the hygienist said i had good gums for someone my age, 69. So it might not work for some people but it seems to have worked for me. Thanks for your video.
I am glad that oil pulling worked for you and even at your young age, it still does the trick :P The last time I went for a cleanup, I also had a similar experience at the hygienist where I was told that I had massive improvements in my oral hygiene. I talk about that experience in this recent video, it seems we might have had very similar experiences haha. th-cam.com/video/0R3WV99H7qU/w-d-xo.html At the end of the day, I am glad you are caviating it at the end that it might not work for everyone because it really depends on so many factors like genetics, oral hygiene routine, diet etc. I am glad that it worked for you and that you shared your experience with others that might be in a similar situation like you were back in February. Cheers!
I've decided to give oil pulling a try now after seeing quite a few of these videos. By the way I had a dentist tell me similarly that I had gum disease and was going to likely lose my teeth....15 years ago and I haven't lost a single one.
Ive been coconut oil pulling most days for nearly two weeks. The sore patch in my gum between two bottom teeth has dramatically improved. I do it after breakfast while I clean the kitchen and make the bed - this takes about 15 to 20 minutes. I barely even notice I'm doing it. I will absolutely continue with the practice!!! Its easy, cheap, painless and seems to be getting results!
@@purplearmy2090yes, best to spit it out into a food trash bin so as not to clog up drains. I wait a few minutes, then brush my teeth and start the day however some recommend doing it after you brush your teeth … 🤷♀️ I prefer before since I feel whatever bacteria is being pulled up or dislodged or however it works … it’s probably best to rinse it away soon after but I’ve only just started oil pulling so definitely no expert on the subject. Hope we all get good results from it but there’s definitely a feel good factor about it from day one.
@purplearmy2090 . I have been oil pulling for 8 years. First thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything, put a table spoon of organic/cold pressed/unrefined coconut oil in your mouth. Push & pull the oil through your teeth for 10-15 mins, ideally 20 mins. Spit the oil in the garbage can, rinse your mouth with water and brush your teeth. I love it. People always ask if I get my teeth whitened and I drink coffee everyday. Me dentist tells me that my teeth and gums are very healthy.
@@amiraelt Pull before you go to bed. Do not rinse or brush your teeth. Certain fatty acids within the oil have strong anti-microbial properties and brushing and rinsing washes it away. It's like putting on a skin moisturizer and then taking a shower.
I have been oil pulling with coconut 🥥 oil for around 9 months. I am so happy with the results. I am 66 and my gums were not as they once were. But now they are tighter around my teeth. The gum disease has disappeared....confirmed by my dentist. My actual teeth feel more solid somehow and I have just had a check up and the plaque was minimal. I oil pull religiously every night for 20 minutes.
I oil pull every morning for 20 minutes before eating anything. I brush my teeth afterwards. I probably have been doing this over 5 years. I have not had a sinus infection since I started oil pulling and I used to get them every year.
I had some bad inflammation and blisters all over my mouth last week because of antibiotics- ironically I got prescribed those antibiotics because of that exact issue. I did oil pulling for three days; before the first day, I could barely eat and drink because the pain was so intense, but after the first oil pulling, the inflammation started to fade a bit, and now after the third day I can eat normally again. I can really recommend it!
I hope you took some probiotics to counteract effects of the antibiotics. If not, it’s not too late. And speaking of coconut, coconut kefir is way easy to make and really delicious.
@Name thank you for sharing your interesting testimony. I’m so glad you were taking probiotics. Did you know that kefir has far more probiotic benefits, and more long lasting benefits, then yogurt?. Well, maybe you know. I am really enjoying coconut milk kefir. It is so incredibly easy to make. And tasty.
Please be sure to use VIRGIN COCONUT oil. The refined based coconut oil won't give you much results. Experiment must state what type of coconut oil is used.
I recently started oil pulling, but I’ll say this. I stopped using regular toothpaste and used a powder made with betonite clay, eggshells, sea salt, and I flossed regularly. They say periodontitis doesn’t get better. But I never tell my dentists what I do because I believe they’re always looking to sell me on the most expensive thing. Basically I had let my pockets get to 4’s-5’s and some 6’s. The last time I went to the dentist. Which also because of some mental health issues I took nearly a year to get back to the dentist. So it was a long time to wait for a cleaning. My pockets had become mostly 1’s and some 3’s. The hygienist said my gums look good. Which is the first time I’ve heard that since I was a kid.
Did you grind the eggshells really soft and powdery? I've heard they can be good for polishing, but if the size of the eggshell is too big there isn't much remineralizing benefit but maybe at least an acid neutralizing effect.
Yes, everyone needs to stop using any toothpaste with fluoride in it. Fluoride is horrible for your teeth and your insides! There are many toothpastes without fluoride that also have other ingredients that are harmful to you taken out. I use Himalayan toothpaste that has cinnamon.
Thank you for your analysis. I watched Skyler's & Dr. Nemeth's video and had the same thoughts that you presented here. I noticed that there seemed to be a lot more bacteria on the first slide than on the second, and I noticed the obvious color difference of the gums between the before and after photos. Watching your video validates my own previous observations. I've never tried oil pulling, but I now figure that "What the heck" I might as well give it a try.
No prob! Give it a whirl for a week, you really have nothing to lose. I made a video previously showing my 3-month experience oil pulling which also goes through the process of oil pulling. Feel free to check that out if you want to learn how to do it! th-cam.com/video/vsGTm5epSIk/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BrewingHabits Lemme know how it turns out for you if you give it a try!
I did a cleaning session at my local health center and they coudnt get out the black spots between my incisors.2 weeks of consistent oil pulling twice per day with pure coconut oil and its literally gone i was shocked.
Oil pulling isn't a miracle treatment. But it definitely made a difference to the health of my gums and lessen the sensitivity to my teeth. All the dentists i have seen told me that my gums are very healthy. I have been practicing oil pulling on and off for over ten years. And I can definitely feel the difference when I don't do it for a period of time. It had also helped improved my gut health when I do it twice a day. The lady that taught me about oil pulling had a rash on her leg for years, and after she did oil pulling 3x a day (before meals) for 2 months, the rash completely disappeared. It help her with her gut health as well. So I would say that people that don't see the benefit are the ones that didn't practice probably or for long enough time to see the results.
i legit just tried swishing the coconut oil around in my mouth for 15 mins, and all the plaque that was behind my bottom teeth (usually gets built up there because i have a metal band behind the lower teeth) all just came loose and was able to wash it out. I'm CONVERTED! Will be doing this daily! I brush and floss my teeth daily, and those plaque spots never come out! so it works!
Same for me. while mine did not just rinse out it very easily scraped off with no effort. Before I had to scrape and scrape with same tool hygienists use. I will keep doing it if for no other reason. Could care less about amount of bacteria or whitening. I think preventing gum disease and bone loss are by far the biggest concerns.
Thanks so much for clarifying as well as critically debunking Guy Skyler & Dr.Nemeth's claims. Appreciate. I know quite a few people who do coconut oil pulling and have noticed there dental health as well has heard them tell of remarkable change to their oral health.
I only started a few days ago, and each time I do it my mouth feels sooo calm! The bacteria is gone, even if I have ulcers- they stop hurting! It makes me feel less inflamed in my throat as well! And I struggle with chest infections. So I hope doing this will help the bacteria die before getting into my body ❤
It absolutely does work. I floss every night and still got occasional bleeding on one of my front teeth. Since starting oil pulling I haven't had any bleeding now when I floss. Dentists don't want to admit it works because so many of them want to make money off your mouth.
I saw what you are saying about the number of spirochetes when watching Dr. Nemeth's video. I was thinking, "The number was cut at least in half!" just by an initial look. As someone who has Lyme disease, any reduction in bacterial counts would be encouraging, not discouraging. Anyways, I am on day 4 of oil pulling to help my gum issues caused by Lyme, and am really encouraged by your videos!
Hi! I hope you are well on your road to recovery 💚 I am in recovery as well and was just about to embark on my own pulling “experiment”, and figured exactly what you said. In fact, I’ll take 1% improvement, as it all adds up 😊.
I actually just bought an oil pulling product from Walmart. My gums are super infected and I read about oil pulling. I have no insurance right now so I was desperate. After a day and a half using just twice a day I am feeling so so much better. It’s not cleared completely but I can feel it working and feel so much better already 😊
I watched another video on oil pulling and she talked about how when she made a conscious effort to do it for a prolonged period of more than a month she really did see positive results. So like many other natural remedies they sometimes take longer but are as or more effective than traditional medical ways. Just my opinion.
Superb to see this… I’ve started oil pulling a few days ago and actually do it while doing other things and even look forward to it. It has a feel good factor about it and mouth feels clean after it. The guy at the end saying it’s a pain and takes time has a very arrogant manner about him and probably has a stake in debunking it’s very likely, very possible benefits. I am embarking on continuing it alongside a complete mouth care system devised by Dr Ellie in order to try and protect my receding gums and deep pockets and thus hopefully avoiding the all too frequent dental cleans I have been going for which I believe may indeed have kept things in check but seeing as I do not feel I have any oral hygiene problem I do find it excessive and hopefully unnecessary. Dental cleaning might even be going against gum recession healing since it strips away the good bacteria along with the bad which is logically not that great. We live and learn and contrary to all that is promoted by pharmaceutical products the most natural ways are often just as good if not better. Here I am as well as so many others I believe, trying to combine both approaches in the hope of finding a balance and a synergy between the two.
If you look at the before and after bacteria there seems to be 4 cystic looking spots, 3 white spots and one black spot. They look similar to Entamoeba gingivalis which has been linked to patients with gingivitis and periodontal disease. In the after bacteria slide they seem to be completely gone.
Very good detective work. And what about the financial interest. Disprove one method and promote another while at the same time having financial interest in the promotion is automatically an invalid product/service promotion. I watched both videos while oil pulling. Not a waste of time at all. If you want to further enhance your oil pulling, just put a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide 3% in with the oil.
The test subject from the original video triggered my suspicion right away. He reminded me of a salesman. Seemed like he was trying hard to sway our opinion on that one 😂
I bought into giving oil pulling a try and did so for about a year. I improved my oral health by using my dental cleanings as a benchmark. I think oil pulling was the best that those in India had at the time. Now, after I brush in the morning, I do not spit out the toothpaste. For about 4 min I "oil pull" with the toothpaste/saliva mixture before rinsing. I average doing this 6 times a week. I typically do not eat lunch and do not brush after dinner. Prior to oil pulling, I didn't get good reports from my dentist. Now I get unsolicited comments like "whatever you are doing, keep doing it" and " you do a good job of flossing" (I rarely floss). In my layman's opinion, oil pulling with fluoride toothpaste is an improved version of oil pulling. There is no additional cost and a much shorter time commitment.
I've been using coconut oil in my mouth forever.. I didn't know it was called "oil pulling" now I know. I've been reaping these benefits for years now and won't stop any time soon. Get on this train my people. Cheap and effective way to treat and save your teeth, your gums, your breath, etc. It doesn't replace ALL other mouth care, ok? But add this to your routine and you won't regret it. If nothing else, instead of doing it twice a month I'll increase the use of "oil pulling". Thx for the vid doc👍🤜🤛👏✨️🙌
Thank you so much for this because I did look at that study, but just did not understand how that dentist kept talking negative, when people are talking so positive about it...
I have seen an amazing improvement in my gums by oil pulling with coconut oil. I have also noticed that pain under from my 2 crowns is gone. I’m assuming that bacteria was getting under them. It’s definitely improved my oral health.
Been doing oil pulling for 10 yrs since cancer survivorship n can tell unit does work. Will not bleach the teeth 🦷 just good oral health and for several months until one can see good results
What has it done for you, specifically? I started oil pulling the past week, because I have periodontis. I'm hoping it would work. Also, great job on beating C!
I thought of trying oil pulling then saw Dr. Nemeth’s video. Was sad then saw your video. Wont hurt to try so I will go ahead with it. Thanks for the video
Thank you so much for this. Trying oil pulling today as now desperate and the Nemhet video came up in a google search. I was very disappointed and disheartened, but your video pointing out what I should have seen is brilliant and encouraging. THANK YOU
I am on my third day of oil pulling before going to sleep, what I noticed is, every morning when I bite my hand and smell my own saliva , it has no smell at all.
Thankyou for sharing this video. I have been doing oil pulling on and off for a few years. I had tooth ache during lock down and couldn't see a dentist, after a couple of days doing oil pulling with coconut oil, the tooth ache had gone.
*Update* I ended up going to my appointment on the 5th to have my first round of root scaling and plaining. I brought up that I was oil-pulling, and this is what she said. Oil pulling is a great way to remove the additional build-up on the teeth, those big chunks that come off are being removed and do help, but its only scratching the surface, what it will not affect at all is the original plaque and calcium that is pretty much welded onto the teeth. Anything to help with "flossing" even using the natural method (oil pulling) is great, but use it in addition to flossing, while it did help. it is not the cure, unfortunately. The only way to remove that type of buildup it to have it professionally removed. Good thing though as long as the damage to your gums is not severe, and you have suffered no bone loss, your gums will grow back around the tooth and become healthy again. I know its not the update you wanted. but when it comes to teeth, I guess you have to do all the things to keep them clean and healthy.
Thanks for sharing and clarifying. I believe oil pulling works because I have seen results when I have done it even for a short timeframe. I will now make a conscious effort to do it more often. Also, I’ll bet Jeremy has replenished his supply of coconut oil and still oil pulls even if it’s a “bother.” We saw the results and so did he. Lol
Oil pulling has worked for me. I had a spot that the dentist couldn’t find a problem it was just sore off and on. Totally gone since oil pulling So something beneficial is happening for me snd I only do it for five or so minutes a day .My teeth have also definitely gotten noticeably whiter. Dentists have an interest in downplaying the benefits. But I would recommend it and like I said I only do it for five minutes or so a day.
Astute observations! Dr. Nemeth was clearly looking for data to support his preconceived beliefs. But that’s ok, because it’s always the individuals responsibility do the research and not solely rely on one man’s opinion. Great job on questioning the Dr.’s conclusions!
I do think oil pulling works but I also believe there needs to be a physical removal of any hardened plaques or plaque beneath the gums. This won’t be removed with oil pulling. I had periodontal disease that had developed and while oil pulling and things did help somewhat it wasn’t enough. I did also get those plaques cleaned away at the dentist. And now I make sure to keep up with cleaning regularly. I would say the number one thing is the physical removal of debris and the beginning formations of plaque daily. I just oil pull once in a while, but it’s just one tool I use to keep my oral health in good form.
Agreed you definitely need those pockets and your teeth professionally cleaned. I have some periodontal right now probably early stage 2. Haven't been to a dentist in 12 years roughly. Going to get my teeth cleaned in a couple of months when I can afford it. I use oil pulling daily alongside a waterpik oscillating electric toothbrush restorative mouthwash dental floss and a Japanese toothpaste. While having cut out 90% of added sugar from my daily consumption. Yet the pockets continue to get worse on 5 or 6 of my teeth still. Which they probably will until I get a professional cleaning done to remove the plaque and tartar build up of 12 years.
@@user-gz4ve8mw9l yes it can be a struggle! I totally get it. Once you get the cleaning done, you will feel better. and to let you know, the depth of my pockets improved drastically after getting the deep clean and then taking care of things regularly. all my pockets are now like 1's or 2's and they are always surprised how there is practically nothing to clean out at the dentist appointment lol. Only other suggestion I have for you is that if you can, get some interdental brushes. I use ones called picksters. They really help clean out between the teeth. Hope your oral health will get better too!
I'm in a similar situation. Some of my pockets are high (not 12mm though) and trying to work on it. Did you use coconut oil for pulling? Does it matter which brand? I found unrefined virgin coconut oil at Target. How many times a day did you oil pull? Thank you in advance.
@ Eugenio Rosario whatever you get is fine but I will solely used coconut oil for the best nutritional properties.....I usually do it once a day .either imorning or night....but with more desperate or problematic situations I'll do it twice a day...both morning and night.....hope this helps
Oil pulling is legitimate. I've used it to help with sensitive teeth and have noticed immediate results. My daughter had the same experience. Diet also had a major impact on tooth health. Our modern diet is garbage. Meats and veggies (the ones that don't leave you with negative symptoms such as bloating, etc.) should be the majority of your diet with very little, if any, carbohydrates. By the way, its gingivitus, not gingervitus. ;)
I agree with you, there is very big difference between number of alive bacteria before and after. Very good observation. Oil pulling works. I am going to do oil pulling. Thanks for this video ❤
I just had my teeth cleaned a few days ago and asked the hygienist what she thought of oil pulling. She said it is not something that she can recommend to patients but she has family members that have done it and seen definite benefits. I'm doing an experiment with oil pulling for 90 days and will be very interested to see if the hygienist notices any improvement. I'm oil pulling for just 10 minutes in the evening.
Just a sidenote: I've just read Bruce Fife's book on Oil Pulling and he describes the case of a lady who had some condition with her teeth that disappeared when she OPed 20min every day, but came back when she was traveling and only did 10min. Bruce Fife recommends doing at least 15min, ideal is 20.
I'm actually in the process of making a website all about oil pulling that would share what I've learned, my experience and results up to this point so stay tuned for that!
@@brewinghabits It would be great if you can test other people many different dental / gum conditions and show the improvements in your website as your teeth look great with no issues ♡
From what I've seen, oil pulling slow burning remedy for issues with gums etc and doesn't happen overnight. Apparently it takes 2 months+ to start seeing some results Also I think oil pulling is intended for in the morning, before brushing teeth. Not sure if that has also affected his results.
I was just diagnosed with periodontitis today, I have a session for sedation dentistry/cleaning booked for November 3rd to do half my mouth. I'm going to go out and get virgin coconut oil right now and start pulling every day until my appointment. Let's see if it really does help. I will post on November 4th and let you know what they said, if there was any improvement before the procedure. For reference I was told I'm at a 5 for buildup and 8 is the worst. Man I am really outing myself on the internet.. meh, all for science.
I always do things for science and what good would science be if you didn't share your findings! Hopefully you feel the changes before Nov 3rd but regardless, would love to hear how your experience goes and what they say during your appointment 👍👍
@@brewinghabits thanks so much your comment means a lot. Promise to share everything they find. Did it today already for 20 min. Just kicked back and watched a youtube video. Gotta say tho, it's a pretty weird sensation swishing oil.
@@tylersbookclubreads haha yea, a funky feeling for sure but you kinda get used to it and it has totally grown on me lol. Once it becomes easier to do, you can also weave it into your daily routines like when you are showering, on the computer, watching TV etc
the pacient from this experiment made a mistake by ''swishing the oil till it hurt'' as he says, the point is to swish it around your mouth while letting the oil sit in your mouth so you need to swish it always but with not vigorously
@@airlenerosales398 totally, this should not cause you any pain. If your jaw starts to hurt stop for a second and pick back up when it's comfortable. It's easy to clench your jaw but just gotta focus on relaxing and doing what you can.
When you start doing oil pulling , you also floss and brush more along side. This means that there is improvement of oral hygiene in general. That's why the bacteria in saliva decreased. I think we need more evidence and study in this field .
Thanks you so much this is concerning how ppl would mighty just not do more research and ppl need to understand that the long term goal is how can you just do oil pulling for 35 day when you have done the damages for years so this is a great video good work and we need more honestly heros like you that truly want to show ppl that they ppl out there that has no 😂in your Heath but the best part is now you can see how it's to discern ppl on what they are saying. Just because you didn't do a dramatic tv hero stuff to me just showing small truth to ppl life is a hero to me. Very much appreciated how you can help others that might not otherwise know how to do the comparison. Great video keep up the amazing work. Little work can show you big results.
Lol dude not a fast enough to make a huge difference….for instance lets say my boat was sinking and i had a small bucket to help take out the water that was filling up my boat…. Do you think that tiny bucket would work fast enough to out speed the water filling the boat? No ..eventually the water would sink the boat. You get what im sayin?
@@KhalilEats You may be right that it takes more time, but that's essentially the same logic as saying that natural and healthy weight loss takes too long and someone who is at a higher risk to develop certain diseases should go ahead and go through a risky weight loss procedure because of this.
We're always hearing about good and bad bacteria. Is it even possible to have an oral bacteria culture to estimate the different species & sub-species? That would have been a good comparison, particularly with many participants, right?
Your such a bro for making this! My ex wife did oil pulling and blew her dentist away on how clean her teeth got!!! Her hygienist couldn’t find ANY PLAQUE!!! She only did 2 weeks 20 minutes a day. Her teeth were horrible before.
Looks like one year experiment , or longer may be needed. If we want to interrupt someones income, they will give you their perceptions on these short term results. Doesn't hurt to try it for a year and judge for yourself.
Very good and rational analysis of the analysis. The doctor looked very biased with his body language. If you don’t want to see something, microscopes will not reveal it either. Notice that the before image of bacteria is unsharp and light of color whilst the after is crisp clear with dark colors which makes it look more dramatic and makes a comparison difficult.
I'm extremely skeptical about it, but i have very sensitive teeth, and my my dentist says nothing could be done to treat it. So im gonna try it with coconut oil and check in here later. 3 weeks upd: nothing changed at all. Physically feels the same, photos before and after also show no difference. I used extra virgin coconut oil 20 mins in the morning before brushing teeth. So i just wasted the oil that is quite costly where I'm living. I was going to do it for more time but i ran out of oil and not gonna buy it again because of the price and absence of any results.
Regardless of results, let us know how it goes. I was also quite sceptical before I began but the results spoke for themselves and I hope that you will also find similar results ✨
You don't need the expensive oil, you can use very cheap refined oil according to Bruce Fife's research, which is based on Dr. Karachs research who made oil pulling popular. The reason is because you are not to swallow the oil, and no oil is being absorbed by gums. Also, if you have a condition it is recommended doing three 20min sessions per day - you will see results faster.
Maybe try changing your diet. I’m on a process of teeth healing without dental intervention and I believe diet does play a role in tooth health. Your teeth are basically bone.
Thank for you making this video. I was looking at the "doctors"(scam artist) video and thinking how he was being purposely wrong to prove a point. I also stopped the video and did a side by side. But boy oh boy I didn't realize it was zoomed in as well. What a joke "experiment". Thanks for putting this out
I love you because your observations are great and into the point, and when researching something you have to talk about all the parameters and people of this experiment did not talk about the crucial parameters regarding oral health and the nature of this experiment, so for me it is not a complete experiment and i do not oil pulling yet so my opinion is based on logical thinking, observation and a gut feeling that the industry almost always try to debunk what threatens it. If there is no research then there should be research as well as to the point funding for specific research and not debunking without evidence, which results by tons of scientific parameters.
The optimal health benefit concerning oil pulling with castor oil will be to swallow this afterwards. So you will have to take regularly early in the morning on an empty stomach 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil in your mouth and mix this there with your saliva for 30 minutes before swallowing this one. While doing this you will not remark anything of the bad taste of castor oil for the receptors concerning castor oil are in the background of the mouth. By salivating castor oil for a sufficient time this one will lose its bad taste, its high viscosity and will no more irritate the mucosa of the stomach. In this manner not only the waste in your intestines will be pushed out but all the toxins deposed in your body (especially methylmercury!) via the liver too.
Thanks for making this vid. It is kind of funny. Since the very pictures that the dentist is trying to use to denounce oil pulling, you have turned around and shown are proving it’s effectiveness. I wouldn’t be surprised if he oil pulls at night in secret.
In the photo afterwards, the mouth looks more homogeneous. Everything seems strengthened as well as nourished. The teeth are also more harmonious in their fare.
Thanks for doing this video. I had similar thoughts when I watched the video. I was also wondering if he should have done the oil pulling in the morning rather than at the end of the day. I believe the bacterial plague is most prevalent in the morning.
From experience with oil pulling, I instinctively did not agree with the deduction made by Dr Nemeth but respect that is his opinion. I agree with you.
those video cuts were basically pulled from another video showing the bacteria before and after oil pulling. There was an argument that oil pulling did nothing. But on the other hand, someone actually pointed the before there were like 7-8 tapodes but the after shows there is only 2 tapodes left.
I tried pulling and ended up having to spit out many times over several minutes due to the build up of saliva. Also a tablespoon of oil was way too much for me! Do you think there is a benefit to keeping the same oil in your mouth for 20mins (I don't like the thought of this) or could you spit out and replace the oil every say 5 mins?
No, you can spit out and replace as much as you need. You could also spit out small amounts so you have more room again. (source: Bruce Fife, Oil Pulling Therapy)
This deffo proves it works, dentists have a problem with oil pulling because natural remedies will put them out of business if they take the helm of dental hygiene
when you start oil pulling with coconut oil first of all you need to do it 3 times a day if you can, if that is impractical because of work or daytime commitments then do it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, twice a day and you will feel the benefit after two months...and it works...the test where the patient did it only every evening and measured results after 30 days is not really an accurate test....there was some improvement, but after two months the improvement would be more noticeable...oil pulling is not an instant result, it is a gradual one, it takes time and discipline to do it, but the rewards are immense....I've been doing it for years, it works for me.
In the slides compared, were the compositions of bacteria identified and quantified? Good bacteria should be present while bad bacteria should not be present, ideally. Similar total amount of bacteria in general is totally irrelevant when considering oral health
My dentist said one of my upper molar has 8 cm deep pockets & can’t easily reach even with deep cleaning method so the poor prognosis of that tooth is 5 yrs. I will then see if this oil pulling method can atleast slow the progression of the disease and prolong the life of my molar.
The Dentists analysis was faulty. 1. We don't know when the saliva was pulled. Was it early morning or late day. Was it right after he did oil pulling or not?
I cant wait to try oil pulling first thing tom. 😩 I am have extreme sensitivity teeth non stop. Ughhhh i hope it will for for me. Thank you for your videos so glad i came across them.
Heyyyy Skyler, the man, myth and legend of this video in question :D
I appreciate that you are going to do a follow up video and I am glad that you didn't see my video as hate but more of a "nanii?!" constructive criticism of the findings!
Let me know when the follow up video comes out, looking forwards to its findings!
Was a great video and share - keen to know if the laser procedure actually helped after all that too
Dr Nemeth straight up lied. To you and to everyone watching. That's why you got "hate" in the comments. Open your eyes. Why are we going easy on blatant liars? This is what's wrong with the world.
This isn't really the type of thing where you can just make an oopsie on as a doctor people confide in you and you basically lied.........
Bruh......
There’s money in my peoples teeth being horrible and costly to fix. Humanity being built on greed is how that happens and it’s sad but reality
Exactly.

Absolutely right, government is not on our side
So true and absolutely awful
Exactly. If all you need for dental health is a tub of coconut oil then they're going to lose out a lot in business. Thank God for natural remedies!
It was actually my dentist who recommended oil pulling. But he was a special person, looked like Dumbledore with his long white hair and was overall the best dentist I ever had. Sadly he’s retired by now.
A good dentist is hard to find.
There is a reason why they deactivated the comments
I watched the the drs video when the comments weren’t turned off and today revisited to see that they were. I was wondering why and it’s definitely because of this video.
Because they can’t read
A friend of mine had a cavity in an inner molar that was inaccessible to work on, so the dentist recommended extracting it. His assistant felt sorry for my friend and she recommended oil pulling. This procedure healed the cavity and saved his tooth. I have been doing oil pulling for over 5 years and my yearly trip to the dentist for cavity treatment / crown replacement ended completely. Since then I have had no more dental work, except for a repair in a broken tooth. So in my experience, IT WORKS. Dentists don't mention oil pulling, because it does not bring them any income.
It that really true kindly be honest because its a matter of some one's feelings, please be honest 😢
100%
How long did it take to heal the cavity?
This is either a lie or he has the story wrong. Unfortunately, there is no way to heal a cavity from home. If you have one, go to the dentist please.
"**And for brushing my teeth?**"
I talk about that experience in this recent video, it seems we might have had very similar experiences haha.
th-cam.com/video/0R3WV99H7qU/w-d-xo.html
At the end of the day, I am glad you are caviating it at the end that it might not work for everyone because it really depends on so many factors like genetics, oral hygiene routine, diet etc. I am glad that it worked for you and that you shared your experience with others that might be in a similar situation like you were back in February. Cheers!
Use pure coconut oil for better results
Will appreciate if u can share what oil u used (any link to the product?)
I've decided to give oil pulling a try now after seeing quite a few of these videos. By the way I had a dentist tell me similarly that I had gum disease and was going to likely lose my teeth....15 years ago and I haven't lost a single one.
69. I'm 47 and losing teeth. For what's left, I started oil pulling. I hope it helps!
After you're done, do you just spit the oil out and then brush your teeth? I'd love to know the procedure thankyou!
Oil pulling works for me.I use it instead of using listerine mouth wash.
Bro you proved why everyone should be oil pulling. Amazing video!
Do you do it in the evening before going to sleep? Do you brush your teeth after doing this?
I oil pull every morning for 20 minutes before eating anything. I brush my teeth afterwards. I probably have been doing this over 5 years. I have not had a sinus infection since I started oil pulling and I used to get them every year.
Does oil pulling get rid discolored gums? I want my pink pretty gums back.
Mad respect for doing this video.
Cheers, glad you liked the video! Sometimes you just have to point it out as you see it +_+
@@brewinghabits = thankyou for posting.
@@loricalass4068 Yes, I did this time and thankfully, they helped a lot with the side effects
And tasty.
hello there. Did you make the oil pulling once a day? Thank's
Please be sure to use VIRGIN COCONUT oil. The refined based coconut oil won't give you much results. Experiment must state what type of coconut oil is used.
Lauric acid is always lauric acid.
Yes, and do not use Fractionated coconut oil as it is missing the key ingredient.
That’s awesome!
Good for you and I’m happy you felt well enough to get to the appointment!
God bless:)
Did you grind the eggshells really soft and powdery? I've heard they can be good for polishing, but if the size of the eggshell is too big there isn't much remineralizing benefit but maybe at least an acid neutralizing effect.
Becareful with bentonite clay and do your research because I believe Ive read that it has metals.

What brand oil do you use?
i legit just tried swishing the coconut oil around in my mouth for 15 mins, and all the plaque that was behind my bottom teeth (usually gets built up there because i have a metal band behind the lower teeth) all just came loose and was able to wash it out.
They made the first one so blurry too 🤦🏼♀️
Thanks so much for clarifying as well as critically debunking Guy Skyler & Dr.Nemeth's claims.

I add clove oil and DMSO drops. I read oil of oregano grapefruit seed extract help
Oregano oil ( oreganum vulgare ) could help as well. 1-2 drops into the oil. I wish you good luck!
I actually just bought an oil pulling product from Walmart. My gums are super infected and I read about oil pulling. I have no insurance right now so I was desperate. After a day and a half using just twice a day I am feeling so so much better. It’s not cleared completely but I can feel it working and feel so much better already 😊

Unfortunately they ☠️ after too much oil pulling...
Intuition says yes!!! As my life is guided by intuition, I keep on oil pulling for years
If you look at the before and after bacteria there seems to be 4 cystic looking spots, 3 white spots and one black spot. They look similar to Entamoeba gingivalis which has been linked to patients with gingivitis and periodontal disease. In the after bacteria slide they seem to be completely gone.
Having an untrained eye for bacteria, this fascinates me even more if correct because how would the doctor miss such an obvious improvement... rawr
@@brewinghabits so true
Are you familiar with those things?
Very good detective work.
And what about the financial interest.
Disprove one method and promote another while at the same time having financial interest in the promotion is automatically an invalid product/service promotion.
I watched both videos while oil pulling.
Not a waste of time at all.
If you want to further enhance your oil pulling, just put a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide 3% in with the oil.
Huge difference in before and after slide.
Thank you. I didn’t catch all of that. I just came from that other video, so I’m glad I found yours afterwards.
Thank you, the experiment had discouraged me from oil pulling. Now I have I reason to do it again.
Thanks for taking the time to break the video down and seeing the smaller picture.
Thank you for proving that the dentist was fudging the results to support his view! I knew oil pooling worked!

I ended up going to my appointment on the 5th to have my first round of root scaling and plaining.
Lol
I really am shocked about the bacteria moving inside his mouth it’s scary and makes me scared I and my loved ones have these amoeba inside 😱
😂💯
I'm truly grateful that you did this video and last night was the first time that I skipped doing it now il never skip again
It works, I went from 12mm pockets using a probe, to 4 mm pockets after 1 month oil pulling and using a round head electric toothbrush.
I'm in a similar situation. Some of my pockets are high (not 12mm though) and trying to work on it.
Did you use coconut oil for pulling? Does it matter which brand? I found unrefined virgin coconut oil at Target. How many times a day did you oil pull?
Thank you in advance.
@ Eugenio Rosario whatever you get is fine but I will solely used coconut oil for the best nutritional properties.....I usually do it once a day .either imorning or night....but with more desperate or problematic situations I'll do it twice a day...both morning and night.....hope this helps
what kind of oil are you using?
Emperador Zar 91 ....I used coconut oil
@@emperadorzar2023 coconut oil
Oil pulling is legitimate. I've used it to help with sensitive teeth and have noticed immediate results. My daughter had the same experience. Diet also had a major impact on tooth health. Our modern diet is garbage. Meats and veggies (the ones that don't leave you with negative symptoms such as bloating, etc.) should be the majority of your diet with very little, if any, carbohydrates. By the way, its gingivitus, not gingervitus. ;)
and gingivitis not gingivitus .....just saying ;)
I agree with you, there is very big difference between number of alive bacteria before and after. Very good observation. Oil pulling works. I am going to do oil pulling. Thanks for this video ❤
I just had my teeth cleaned a few days ago and asked the hygienist what she thought of oil pulling. She said it is not something that she can recommend to patients but she has family members that have done it and seen definite benefits. I'm doing an experiment with oil pulling for 90 days and will be very interested to see if the hygienist notices any improvement. I'm oil pulling for just 10 minutes in the evening.
It's best to do oil pulling first thing in the AM and then brush your teeth.
@@bf9436 Everybody has an opinion.
Did it work ?
Just a sidenote: I've just read Bruce Fife's book on Oil Pulling and he describes the case of a lady who had some condition with her teeth that disappeared when she OPed 20min every day, but came back when she was traveling and only did 10min. Bruce Fife recommends doing at least 15min, ideal is 20.
Who is surprised at dental professionals regarding rejection of any method not prescribed by a pharmaceutical company
I want to see the results after 1 year! This is game changing stuff
I'm actually in the process of making a website all about oil pulling that would share what I've learned, my experience and results up to this point so stay tuned for that!
@@brewinghabits Brilliant. Looking forward to it.
@@brewinghabits It would be great if you can test other people many different dental / gum conditions and show the improvements in your website as your teeth look great with no issues ♡
@@yukikokuno9287 that would be amazing ‼️
From what I've seen, oil pulling slow burning remedy for issues with gums etc and doesn't happen overnight. Apparently it takes 2 months+ to start seeing some results
Also I think oil pulling is intended for in the morning, before brushing teeth.
Your voice is soo calming
When you start doing oil pulling , you also floss and brush more along side. This means that there is improvement of oral hygiene in general. That's why the bacteria in saliva decreased. I think we need more evidence and study in this field .
Any scientific experiment can be carefully designed to reach any conclusion you want.
Thank you for your logical and analytical study of the subject. Bravo!
That’s a superb video! Good point out and the oil pulling afterwards picture, the gum looks a lot healthier
Dude, I think you are right. The oil pulling appeared to make a difference.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I have been oil pulling on and off over the last year and half. I will continue more consistently now.
Thank you for saying this! Cuz I saw that when they showed the microscopic slides. It was clear there was improvement
@@brewinghabits 3 weeks update is in the comment
Thank you very much for doing the job! :)
After i watched the 1st video , I watched yours..And you did a great job!
Oil pulling works, almost at a miracle level for me, so unless placebo is taking care of my cavity amongst other things, then yeah, i say it works.
I've started oil pulling a while back, but on and off. Now I'm doing it more regularly and I like the taste anyway.
My dentist recommended it for sensitive teeth. And that video - I was sceptical the moment they invited you to the dentists website
Love the negative vs. positive thinking 🩷
those video cuts were basically pulled from another video showing the bacteria before and after oil pulling.
I did oil pulling for just a few weeks and it improved my sensitive teeth, thanks for the video ❤
Thankyou for posting. It would help us if you could also describe how long each time. and any tooth brushing schedule, etc. .
In the slides compared, were the compositions of bacteria identified and quantified? Good bacteria should be present while bad bacteria should not be present, ideally. Similar total amount of bacteria in general is totally irrelevant when considering oral health
They also turned their comments off. I wonder why?
Today is my first day of oil pulling by looking at the other video I was heartbroken but thanks to this so I can continue on this journey
My dentist said one of my upper molar has 8 cm deep pockets & can’t easily reach even with deep cleaning method so the poor prognosis of that tooth is 5 yrs. I will then see if this oil pulling method can atleast slow the progression of the disease and prolong the life of my molar.
Appreciate your critical view on dr Nemeths findings on oil pulling
The Dentists analysis was faulty.
1. We don't know when the saliva was pulled. Was it early morning or late day.
Was it right after he did oil pulling or not?
This is a great video. Thanks so much for making it. I wanted to try oil pulling but wasn’t sure. Now I am. Will give it a try.
I cant wait to try oil pulling first thing tom. 😩 I am have extreme sensitivity teeth non stop. Ughhhh i hope it will for for me. Thank you for your videos so glad i came across them.
