I suffered from Rosacea and where the products you suggest are very helpful I did end up going to see a Dermatologist. A great deal of Rosacea can be helped enormously too, by using ceramides and peptides to really beef up your own skin barrier, obviously using great Sunscreen is essential. The Dermatologist recommended IPL treatments, I only needed 4 treatments and it was money well spent. It really has helped enormously. IPL is not an instant fix, it will take weeks for the skin to show improvement, and although it's not a cheap procedure ($400 per IPL session), for me it was truly money well spent. My Rosacea was getting progressively worse, so doing IPL was a good choice for me. Only mentioning it as a possible help for those of you who are noticing your Rosacea is getting worse and you've tried a lot of OTC creams and even prescription creams/ointments.
@@SephoraBelle after permanently eliminating gluten & cow milk, and minimizing overly processed nonfoods, my rosacea decreased tremendously. Permanently eliminating bad gluten (wheat, barley, and rye - which is toxic to the human body, and can lead to issues in all 14 systems of the body) also helped my overall health. There are at least 2 dozen issues I no longer live with.
@@tdginter That is fantastic, delighted to read you've been helped by these changes. Since cutting out processed food, I did cut out bread and I was never a lover of rice, you are right, it makes a massive difference. I lean more toward a Keto way of eating and use vegetables as my source of carbs.

Azelaic acid has been a game changer for my rosacea and after a couple of years using the 10% I moved up to 15% on prescription. That also made a big difference, as I had plateaued with the 10% by that time. The 15% seems to be the right percentage for me and I have had no reason to increase any further over the last few years. I have had a fair bit of trial and error with both skincare and spf, but I am able to use some chemical filters. I live in the UK and I use Ultrasun (it's a hybrid long wear formulation) without any irritation. In fact I found mineral filter only spfs really drying on my already dry/eczema prone skin, so some of the newer generation filters are fine for me. US sunscreens are more harsh due to the lack of filters available and I doubt I could use those. Many Asian spf's are very affordable and use newer filters, so it's worth experimenting a little to find something you love. I patch test everything really thoroughly (before putting it anywhere near the centre of my face) and I really recommend everyone with rosacea does so. Best wishes.
Consider mineral SPF with tint 👌🏻 those usually are very good. 5 yeras ago there were not that many brands but now there are at least a few to choose... Depending on your skin tone 😅
FINALLY a video about rosacea that actually helps with specific recommendations. I ordered 2 of the creams you recommended and i really hope it’ll make a difference. Thank you so much for this!!
I live in Perú, South America, and I loved your video, even if I can't buy 90% of the products you shared, it gives us Rosacea skin type people, a clear view to be able to look for similar products. Thank you! ❤
I started having rosacea flareups about 10 years ago (at 41 years old). Never had issues before then. Went to a dermatologist and got a lot of prescriptions that did not work. After lots of research and trial and error, I ended up simplifying my life by washing my face with Dove sensitive "bar" soap, followed by apple cider vinegar 50% diluted and applied with a cotton ball and cera ve moisturizer - morning and night. This really works and you can't beat the price. I haven't had a flareup since I started this regimen. NOTE: I had the very painful acne kind of rosacea, too (unpoppable pimples). Not just redness.
Gentle chemical exfoliants like lactic acid, salicylic acid, and azaleic acid. In low concentrations, coupled with a silicone face scrubber, does great for me. I use Thayers 2% salicylic acid toner day and night, and it tingles, but does not redden my skin at all. It has helped tremendously with blackheads and stubborn nose pores
@@sergpie I use Thayer's salicylic acid toner as well. Morning and night. Has definitely cleared up my blackheads/clogged pores on nose! Seems to be pretty gentle. I wish there was something to SHRINK pores!
Thank you! Thank you! I've had acne for over 50 years (I'm 69) and that finally cleared and now I have Rosacea!! I am under the care of a dermatologist and that treatment with prescriptions is going really well. But, I am so thankful to have the additional information about cleansing products and sunscreens, both of which I now realize are probably hindering my success. I'll purchase some of your suggested products for sure! I would love to see you do a video on cosmetic recommendations as I love wearing makeup and feel more confident in my appearance when I do. I'd love to get that "right". Thank you - I love and learn from you always!
Thank you for sharing these affordable drugstore options for rosacea, The Budget Dermatologist! As someone who has struggled with rosacea, I was excited to try out these products. And when I added DermalMD Rosacea Treatment Serum to my routine, I noticed a significant improvement in the redness and sensitivity of my skin. It's a game changer! Highly recommend giving it a try.
I just came across this video and think it is very helpful. Could you please do a video on how to combine the products for an effective day and nighttime rosacea skincare routine? That would be brilliant!!! Thanks
Yes, anti aging and makeup videos would be so helpful. Like others here I had no idea I shouldn't be using hyaluronic acid and yes many of my products contain it so a video about that as well! lol Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found your channel.
I hate the stuff. The way I understand it, if youre in a humid environment, it will pull water out of the air, but if youre in a dry environment, it will instead pull water out of your body. I found it did the latter to me and I ended up drier than before I tried it. Your mileage may vary. lol
I have used ( with success) Prosacea ... it is so soothing ... and effective also ... but does require continued use. love your channel you have helped me make such smart skincare decisions!!!
Thank you! I purchased prozacea after a recent flare and was impressed. It seemed to reduce that inflamed texture as well, so it was easier to cover with makeup.
Thank you so much for this. I am 70 years old and a former Flight attendant. I took excellent care of my skin over the years and had facials often but never ever injections or procedures of any kind. My skin developed Rosacea in the last few years. I recently bought the entire Dior line after using Chanel for 30 years and broke out terribly. I just ordered all of the products you suggested except I have Avar (sulfer) cream from my dermatologist. This was so helpul. I was able to order everything from Amazon for $139 instead of the heavy perfumes $1500 products from Chanel and Dior. They took back all the Dior. I had never ever returned anything over all the years.
Omg thank you for posting this! So many great product recommendations! I have rosacea and am currently using Prosacea. I would LOVE to see videos of exactly how to use Prosacea (beyond the directions on the package, which just basically say to do a test patch and then use it once per day and twice per day if tolerated) and all these other products. Can other products be used at the same time as them or layered over Prosacea and the other products like Azelaic acid? When the red bumps go away, do you continue using Prosacea or these other products as a preventative measure so they don't come back? Routines would be great to see too. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!!!! Love it.
Great review. I have recently started using both Avene & La Roche Posay Antiredness products. Love both. Pariticularly like the Avene cleansers & La Roche Rosaliac Crem. My skin was very inflamed amc I’d consulted with a dermatologist to commence laser treatment for redness and papillary bumps. A 2 week regimen cleared my face. Very surprised! Excellent products. I don’t need to rush to have laser treatment now (will do because it really helps maintain my skin and reduce the flare ups)
Can I just say how much have a lifesaver you are? You have no idea how much you have helped with your channel with my skin care. I have been dealing with some severe rosacea as of lately. Small white pustules all over my face, excessive sebaceous glands, red and irritated skin all over, look like a teenager, breaking out again all over my face, uneven skin, tone and texture, etc. The prosacea worked at first but then stopped working but the big game changer was definitely the Naturium with the azaleic acid. The Naturium stuff has truly helped my skin and correct the things above. My skin hasn’t looked this good in a long time. Knock on wood. I want to start implementing some anti aging stuff like vitamin C, retinol etc but not sure when is a good time to do so as I don’t want to do it too soon and have my skin go backwards instead of forwards with uneven skin tone, redness etc. Do you know when I should try and what to start with first?Oh and I’m using the vanicream cleanser and you’re right it is very gentle and does a good job cleansing without stripping, love it!
I finally found after many years that using zinc infused soap and shampoo relives my years of rosacea as long as I do not use any regular soaps and shampoos, even the milder ones. For any rare flare ups I use Prosacea. I will try some of these cheaper products. Thank you
@@Lilah1754 I’ve noticed that when I use products with niacinamide, sometimes my skin stings…or at least that’s my suspicion. Now I’m wondering if it’s the HA instead. 🤷🏻♀️
This is GOLD! Thank you very much for sharing your experience and knowledge! I followed this video and ordered a few items. HOWEVER and this is something that I personally encounter before is HOW THE ROUTINE NEED TO TAKE PLACE? I feel like I need to 'layer' the products. Can you make a video on what's come first and if it needs to dry e ct... Thanks!
Yes! Thank you! Loved that video. I would love to hear about coping with rosacea along with other conditions (melasma, seborrheic dermatitis, ageing.). :)
Game changers, De La Cruz sulfur mask from Amazon, Vanicream facial cleanser, Vanicream facial moisturizer and facial spf, Azelaic acid 15%. Neutragena has a new tinted mineral sunscreen that’s really good.
Any other information you can provide on rosacea including other products to avoid (vitamin c, resveratrol,? etc.) would be great Naturium has a sulfur spot treatment and we would appreciate your views on this and other sulfur products.
Thank you Maren. I would love to learn more about a day time make up routine for women with rosacea and sensitive skin. Your content has been so helpful to me. 💛
Thanks for making this video! Skin products are overwhelming. In addition to dealing with mild/moderate diagnosed rosacea, I have oily skin, large pores with lots sebum that gets in the way of applying makeup nicely, and congested pores along and under my jaw. I had one meeting with a dermatologist before the COVID shut downs happened. Now I may have to start the whole referral process all over again with her. I would love to see a makeup video for oily rosacea skin. Nothing complex, just a way to even the skin and reduce shine. Also an oily rosacea skin routine plus a few tips for fine lines video would be helpful. When I'm told to wear sunblock, it's crazy making because the sunblock makes my skin even more oily. Then any makeup smears around. Thanks
Thanks for the rosacea tips. Would love to see more on that topic. I’m dealing with that as well as aging skin😮. I started using Avene RetinAL advanced correcting serum a few weeks ago, after seeing your video. I think I’m tolerating it okay. Had a few small bumps on my cheek that seems to be clearing. I also just added the Vanicream vitamin C serum and daily moisturizer a couple of days ago. Fingers crossed! It’s mind numbing…
thank you so much for pointing out that the hyaluronic acid might be irritating for rosacea skin! i also found niacinamide to be irritating / causing redness and bumps as well... even though many derms say this ingredient to be calming and many rosacea-friendly products actually contain this ingredient - some of us might want to be aware of this
Thank you! This is the best Roscea video I’ve watched. I’m newly diagnosed and your suggestions on actual brands I can find at Walmart or Ulta is really helpful.
I found your channel via your pityrosporum folluculitis video and your recommendations have helped so much!! I developed all kinds of skin issues after I caught cold sores 10 years ago. I have diagnosed severe inflammatory seborrheic dermatitis, as well as symptoms of the pityrosporum issue, and also roseacea-like redness and skin reactivity on my face (made worse by mast cell food issues). The worst part is that when these conditions flare, they also allow the cold sores to break through onto my face. I have been diagnosed immunodeficient so I think everything broke down on my face all at once. Your recommendations have been more helpful than any dermatologist I've seen (and I have seen a LOT), so I'm hopeful for the first time in 10 years I might get my skin under control. You also really help me understand what is going on with my skin as well. Thank you!!
THANK YOU! I have asked my dermatologist this question for years and all I got was to look for products with zinc or sulfur. YOU gave us NAMES and prices! I am so grateful! At this stage I won't even date because i feel so ugly...I know that my skin can improve because it does when I take Doxycycline. But you can't live on an antibiotic. I am aging and my skin is so dry. I've give up any skin care because everything hurts my face!. I am going to try all of these products and would love more information about a daily schedule and using them in conjunction with each other! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Have you tried laser treatments for your rosacea? I did two BBL laser treatments which did nothing for me rosacea. Now I am going to try the Vbeam laser which was designed to specifically target redness, so it’s supposedly the gold standard laser treatment for rosacea/ broken capillaries. My dermatologist said the treatments are $150-$300 depending on how much area you are getting treated. The bbl laser treatments cost me $700 for 2 treatments and it was a waste of money, hopefully the Vbeam does much better and it’s also cheaper. If it helps it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. I wish I would of known about the Vbeam before I did the BBL laser
Thank you for this video! I feel like I’ve hit a wall with my skin, but I’m excited to see these over the counter options I didn’t know about! Would you be able to do a video for makeup tips for rosacea? When my skin flares up, it gets really flaky, on top of the redness and bumpiness, and can be so hard to cover with makeup without looking crusty and cakey :( I love your videos, thank you for making these!!
Would love it if you make a video on how to use these products step by step. I’m confused as to how to apply these and when and in what order. Thank you!
Omg, you are lovely and have given the best advice for Rosacea sufferers! I’m in the UK so I will have to search for the products you have recommended, but they all sound brilliant, im now a subscriber to hear all your other tips…. Thank you ❤
Also two more questions- should people with rosacea not be using any products with Hyaluronic acid? Seems like every cleanser, moisturizer, serum, and every other product has that in there. Can you explain why it is bad for rosacea? I am guessing it makes it flare? And the second question is what is your opinion of The Ordinary Azelaic Acid suspension? Thank you again. Loving this channel so much.
The Ordinary Azelaic Acid is fantastic! I use it because I flush easily and it keeps it from happening …… it’s a great price point too 😊 Edited to add that I also use a moisturizer (not anything anti-aging) after a couple of minutes as a follow up to the ordinary because it’s a little drying on my skin and it seems a little powdery after it drys down.
@@VeiledDancer - I just tried The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% last night for the first time and LOVED it. It made my skin feel so smooth. I didn't get any side effects from it but have only used it once so far. If I continue to be side effect free, I am bathing in this stuff from now on. And if it makes my rosacea go away?!?!?!? Dream product come true. I heard it was supposed to decrease oiliness over time too.
@@kimt3864 Thank you for your info, I did purchase and it's good so far - and the price is a bonus. In addition, I got the La Roche-Posay Double Repair Cream. I start with the recommended Prosacea.
@@kimt3864 I’m so glad it you like it. I can see where it could help with oiliness over time, that’s probably why I feel I need to add a little moisture since my skin is on the normal to dry side. 😊
I can’t say for sure if I have rosacea. I feel like neglecting to use a moisturizer in my twenties and trying every now and then new cleansers has damaged my skin. I know some foods cause redness and pimples for me, like spicy food, dairy and chocolate. And sometimes I don’t even know what skin type I have bc I’m all over the place. But I can say I am learning so much now through dermatologists that share their knowledge here on YT. I wish I was in my teens again, so I could have known how to better take care of my skin.
You are totally correct about hyaluronic acid. At least for me, it's a terrible ingredient. I tried vichy's mineral 89 serum and it burned my skin. I guess it's due to the fact that hyaluronic acid penetrates the skin too much and that may cause irritation. However, my favorite ingredients and the ones that help me the most are: Azelaic acid, bisabolol, allantoin, centella asiatica, vitamin E and chamomile
I have found great success, also, in formulations with more gentle analogs of vitamin c. I'm not sure if the vitamin is an anti-inflammatory pr soothing ingredient, but the capillaries near the furrows of my nose have gone from visible and red, to diffuse and pinkish, since using the Cetaphil antioxidant-C serum. It does also have a lot of licorice extract, so that may be calming things down haha
I LOVE the Avené redness concentrate you showed - it did so much for my skin, and the results lasted afterwards as well. It is pricey, but it is 1000% worth it! Their other products are good too, but that one was the holy grail for me. I would recommend using it 1-2 times a day for a few months, depending on how much redness you have. After that, use it 1-3 times per week at nighttime. You don't need that much, it spreads fairly easy. For me, it decreased both the bumps and the redness. It did not remove the bumps entirely (just a disclaimer), but it improved my skin significantly, and the redness is gone, and the bumps a lot smaller. I have not been using to for the past few years, except for a few occasions, and the results lasted.
@@amyamy8177 I personally saw a difference after the first few days. The difference increased over time, as I used it. If you want the fastest results, use it morning and night (remember to clean your skin in advance, so it can really work). You can use a moisturiser over it if you want. Then once you have reduced the redness enough, you can maintain 3-7 times a week for your nighttime skincare. :)
@@amyamy8177 I think that depends on your skin type. I have very dry skin, so I sometimes use more than is probably needed. If you have more of a tendency towards oily skin and blemishes, use a little less. I think what people need to remember is, more product doesn't always equal better results. :) A thin layer will usually do the job for most things. So try out how it feels on your skin, you can always start thin, and add more if you feel it can take it.
Question: what would a skin care routine look like? Would you use all three products? Or just choose one? I'm looking for a very basic skin routine for a man. Looking for baby steps
Thank you for the information and product recommendations. I love the Vanicream cleanser. They make a good deodorant for sensitive skin, too. I do admit that I watched this video because of the words budget and rosacea. Several of the products other then the Avene ($50, are expensive, so your warnings regarding the price of Avene are correct)are not budget priced. The La Roche-Posay products might not be considered expensive until the product size is taken into consideration. The bottles are 75 ml, I believe. $21 or so for 75 ml is expensive. The Cetaphil redness Relieving moisturizer for for day time with mineral sunscreen protection is nice except it’s tinted. Some people don’t like tinted products. I don’t. I put my day time products on (not makeup) before I exercise and reapply as needed. I don’t want a tinted product because it might look funny when I was sweating.
I use elf foundation and found it covers it fairly well. (I have mild to severe) and doesn’t seem to cause flares or worsen redness for me. And it’s super affordable
Its because your rosacea is still not contained and needs to be treated, I'm Mexican and my derm in Mexico (I understand USA medical asistance is insanely pricey) prescribed me a antibiotic and an antiinflammatory creams and it radically changed everything. Medical grade creams are necessary depending on the intensity of the rosacea. It was that or the next step would be take pills as well for me which I declined and asked my derm to let me try the creams first and after diligent and consistent applications they worked ✨
Jessi, te puedo mandar dm en insta? estoy interesada en qué productos te dio tu dermatologo yo también tengo rosácea, soy jarocha haha y aquí el sol y la humedad es lo peor que le pueda pasar a lguien con mi tipo de piel

Very helpful but your first list of must haves. Do you recommend using all of them? When in skincare routine do you use them after cleanser but before moisturizing?
I’m so glad you mentioned the Aveeno Calm + Restore products. They have helped my rosacea and eczema so much! I get mine on Amazon, a thicker cleanser and the serum instead of the cream (I’m allergic to creams). Great products! My skin has cleared up enough that I have started getting the pulsed dye laser treatments again with some hope of long-term improvement of the red patches on my cheeks.

I developed rosacea when I moved from Miami to Georgia . 6 months after being up here I got a red little mart on my cheek and I went to a dermatologist, they told me it was rosacea and acted like I shouldn’t worry. My face now has that little butterfly look to it and it gets red when it’s too hot or too cold I mean it’s a mission. Just a couple of weeks I started getting little bumps and now it’s all over my forehead, over chin upper lip area I mean it looks horrible! Clearly I triggered it somehow but this is super helpful!!! You are more informative than my dermatologist who charges me an arm and a leg and does absolutely nothing for m…. Thanks
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, it is a huge struggle. In addition to finding a different dermatologist, you may also want to see another practitioner just to check there isn't something more going on. Not to alarm you but "butterfly rash" is a red flag for lupus and should be ruled out. Good luck getting things sorted!!
Great simple tips and products! My problem which I am sure many share relates to sweat and working out. We all need to work up a sweat and my facial redness is made worse with a daily visit to the gym. Besides drinking plenty of water any tips on calming the skin when not exercising is not an option?
Thanks so much. I have used Prosacea and azalaic acid from the Ordinary, & noticed a big difference. Also Ren redness relief serum. I had no clue to avoid hyaluronic acid so I’ll cut that step now. Most of the products mentioned I can’t run in Canada.
Noooo. Not another dermatologist I have to watch 😅. this video was insanely interesting. I wonder if she has one about Make up. My rosacea CANNOT handle any kind of make up.
Have you tried mineral based makeup? I highly recommend "bareMinerals". I have Rosacea and my face can get firey red at times, but the concealer and foundation cover everything up. It's a bit pricey....like around $20/25 for each product but one compact lasts me at least a year. Do some research and I hope this helps.

ohh... exfoliants in my experience are terrible for rosacea skin. it does affect your skin barrier.
Cetaphil redness relief has licorice root and is much less expensive than Avene.😁 Thank you for the video 📹
Yes, yes, yes! I can’t live without this product. I use the night moisturizer morning and night! ❤️
Cetaphil tests on animals- can’t do it 🙆♀️
@@karimcniven8998- I'm in the same boat. 💖
Have you discovered any vegan cruelty free products that might compare to Avene?
Thank you!
Where did you get the DermalMD serum?
I just came across this video and think it is very helpful. Could you please do a video on how to combine the products for an effective day and nighttime rosacea skincare routine? That would be brilliant!!! Thanks
I would also Love that.
Me too!!
Yes, anti aging and makeup videos would be so helpful. Like others here I had no idea I shouldn't be using hyaluronic acid and yes many of my products contain it so a video about that as well! lol Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Yes!
I hate the stuff. The way I understand it, if youre in a humid environment, it will pull water out of the air, but if youre in a dry environment, it will instead pull water out of your body. I found it did the latter to me and I ended up drier than before I tried it. Your mileage may vary. lol
Definitely would love a video on makeup for rosacea skin!!
I have used ( with success) Prosacea ... it is so soothing ... and effective also ... but does require continued use. love your channel you have helped me make such smart skincare decisions!!!
Thank you for addressing rosacea. ❤️
Thank you! I purchased prozacea after a recent flare and was impressed. It seemed to reduce that inflamed texture as well, so it was easier to cover with makeup.
Can you show us what a anti-aging skincare should look like with rosacea AM and PM thank you! ❤
Omg. You literally read my mind. I was looking for tips for rosacea. All the ones I found were over a year. Thank you.
Yes, please on all the rosacea topics you mention at the end- skin care routine, makeup, yes, please! ❤️☺️👍🏻
Love it.
Super helpful video! I would love to see an explanation as to why to stay away from HA. Also makeup for rosacea would be amazing! Thank you ❤
Great info, but would appreciate an am and pm routine using these products. Thank you
Great review.
Thank you
I had no idea about avoiding hyaluronic acid with rosacea. I would love an explanation on this. 👍🏼
Neither did I? I used Neutrogena & I also use Cerave , which has HA in it. Sometimes it stings. Wonder if that is reason why. 🤷♀️
@@Lilah1754 I’ve noticed that when I use products with niacinamide, sometimes my skin stings…or at least that’s my suspicion. Now I’m wondering if it’s the HA instead. 🤷🏻♀️
@@thecleaningteacher638 Would be nice to know? Maybe use product without HA, then see what happens. Guess I’m lucky, niacinamide never bothered me.
@@thecleaningteacher638 I can’t use Niacinimide either.
Would also love an explanation!
I don't have rosacea but gravitate toward products for rosacea bc they tend to be gentler which I like for my own skin.
Yes, please full routine when to use the products from morning to bedtime, thank you
Game changers, De La Cruz sulfur mask from Amazon, Vanicream facial cleanser, Vanicream facial moisturizer and facial spf, Azelaic acid 15%. Neutragena has a new tinted mineral sunscreen that’s really good.
Can you please discuss metro gel for rosacea along with an anti aging routine?
I can't wait to try these products! Thank you so much for letting us know what ingredients to watch out for and avoid. This is amazing ❤️✨
Any other information you can provide on rosacea including other products to avoid (vitamin c, resveratrol,? etc.) would be great
Naturium has a sulfur spot treatment and we would appreciate your views on this and other sulfur products.
Thanks
I'm having the same problem everytime I put on my makeup it always separates and it looks like I put nothing on.
I would love a video on step by step what to do and when to use each product for a skin care routine
Omg, this is the best informative video I have watched. Thank you so much for posting this video!!! ❤🎉
My favorite moisturizer all year round is Procure Rosacare Redness Relief serum right there on the shelf with the Prosacea product.
DermalMD Serum has become an essential part of my rosacea treatment routine. It's reduced the redness and improved the texture of my skin.
Thank you so much! I started suffering from this recently, just out of the blue. I'll be sure to try some of these products.
As soon as she recommended a foaming cleanser I checked out. Gel cleansers are way easier on your skin barrier.
Would love it if you make a video on how to use these products step by step. I’m confused as to how to apply these and when and in what order. Thank you!
Thank you so much! This was very helpful. I have a list, and I’m heading to the drugstore. ❤
Omg, you are lovely and have given the best advice for Rosacea sufferers! I’m in the UK so I will have to search for the products you have recommended, but they all sound brilliant, im now a subscriber to hear all your other tips…. Thank you ❤
Anti aging for rosacea would be amazing
Also two more questions- should people with rosacea not be using any products with Hyaluronic acid? Seems like every cleanser, moisturizer, serum, and every other product has that in there. Can you explain why it is bad for rosacea? I am guessing it makes it flare? And the second question is what is your opinion of The Ordinary Azelaic Acid suspension? Thank you again. Loving this channel so much.
I have the same questions. I was planning on purchasing The Ordinary Azelaic Acid.
The Ordinary Azelaic Acid is fantastic! I use it because I flush easily and it keeps it from happening …… it’s a great price point too 😊
Edited to add that I also use a moisturizer (not anything anti-aging) after a couple of minutes as a follow up to the ordinary because it’s a little drying on my skin and it seems a little powdery after it drys down.
I really loved it for the frost two bottles but it seems to have stopped working
Indeed! Vichy mineral 89 works really bad for sensitive skin. I don't know if it's because of thermal water or HA. Because Mixa serum with HA is ok.
Cucumber fruit extract is also good (it's in Bioderma sensibio micellar water, btw)
Moisturize I use cerave 3 essential ceramides with HA in the cream, lock it in with medical skin barrier and vaseline.
I have not been using to for the past few years, except for a few occasions, and the results lasted.
how long did it take to see redness reduction?
@@amyamy8177 I personally saw a difference after the first few days. The difference increased over time, as I used it. If you want the fastest results, use it morning and night (remember to clean your skin in advance, so it can really work). You can use a moisturiser over it if you want. Then once you have reduced the redness enough, you can maintain 3-7 times a week for your nighttime skincare. :)
@@HereIAm247 thanks that's really helpfull :D how much do you use?
@@amyamy8177 I think that depends on your skin type. I have very dry skin, so I sometimes use more than is probably needed. If you have more of a tendency towards oily skin and blemishes, use a little less.
I think what people need to remember is, more product doesn't always equal better results. :) A thin layer will usually do the job for most things. So try out how it feels on your skin, you can always start thin, and add more if you feel it can take it.
@@HereIAm247 thanks :)
Question: what would a skin care routine look like? Would you use all three products? Or just choose one? I'm looking for a very basic skin routine for a man. Looking for baby steps
I use Prosacea, it really helps, and this is odd, I also use Panoxyal 10, it helps keep my rosacea clear.
Yes!!!! Thanks for this! And I would love to know a good foundation to cover my mild rosacea! Nothing that feels like bread dough on my face!
I use elf foundation and found it covers it fairly well. (I have mild to severe) and doesn’t seem to cause flares or worsen redness for me. And it’s super affordable
hyuronic acid, and niacinamide it makes my skin sting, red, and tight. All moisturizers that contain them are unbearable 👎
.
Try a basic moisturizer like Vanicream

Azelaic acid made my rosacea soooo much worse. Helped the acne but the redness was out of control. Going to try the sulfur I guess!
Thanks so much. I have used Prosacea and azalaic acid from the Ordinary, & noticed a big difference. Also Ren redness relief serum. I had no clue to avoid hyaluronic acid so I’ll cut that step now. Most of the products mentioned I can’t run in Canada.

Please please do a video on morning and night time skin care routines for ppl with roceaca?
Do these products work for an elderly person with more tan colored skin? I was diagnosed with rosacea at 78.
