The kid seems exhausted, and it looks like he feels safer without his father there. He is not anxious at being separated from his parent, and is trying to get physical comfort from the student, and go to sleep on him. Maybe he feels he can finally relax. I hope the kid wasn't just handed back to his alcoholic father.
I was thinking the same. The alcoholic father is obviously not fit for purpose. I don’t know how it works in China, but where I come from social services would take him. It’s everything but ideal for any child to end up in the system, the system is BAD; but in this case he’s obviously not safe with his dad either. Poor baby.
In China, and Japan (probably Korea too) adoption costs money. As in $25,000-40,000 per child. So the system would probably not be better because the kid is very unlikely to be taken in. In Asia they prefer having children of their own blood, they rarely adopt kids.

This is the most heart warming thing ive seen in a while. With all the hate going on in the world right now, situations like these give me some sort of hope for humanity.
The boy was abandoned by one of the most important people in his life and was left completely vulnerable. He will remember this moment (likely a lot more like it) for the rest of his life. Yeah, even though mostly people would eventually help it always warming seeing a group of people being kind and tried their best to help. Not including the father of course. And yeah, the world sure is full of conflict right now with people being to sensitive to anything where people even find innocent things offensive and harmful. And people being envious and hate towards anyone who are above them. And i don't think it will ever calm down any time because there would be just a new generation that past those characteristic since it would always happen no matter what because that's just human nature of being "GREEDY" and desire of being superior.
